Is anybody having a problem downloading Gears of War Judgment? I have been trying to download since the 1rst and it keeps giving me an error towards the end of the download.

 
The guitar looks too small otherwise I like it. I'm up for a challenge with the six button guitar so I'm in.

I keep all these music games on Playstation (can't wait for the revival of Amplitude), but I'd like to get Rocksmith whenever I can buy an Xbox One.

That they're doing Rock Band and Guitar Hero head to head again means one probably will. There is definite and obvious demand that they're both getting new versions after being entirely dead so as long as one of them is good (and hopefully has better made peripherals for a change) it will succeed.

Nah it downloaded just fine for me, but you could try to clear your system cache or go to your storage and look if there is a yellow "!" somewhere as unkown game or Gears of War Judgment with a yellow "!" if there is delete it and redownload it again. Don't have any other tipps..

Last thing I read about Rock Band, I saw they were trying to make old controllers compatible. If that actually happens, I think it would absolutely blow away this new Guitar Hero. I just can't see people paying $100 for yet another plastic guitar when many (myself included) still have RB1 / GH1 stuff collecting dust. But you're right, the market is there. The guitars and stuff usually get snatched up pretty quickly on Craigslist out here.

Thanks for the reply. I deleted the yelllow "!" Gears Judgement three times with no luck. I will give the system cache a try.
 
So when does the new gwg stuff switch over? Been waiting all day to play ACIV and it still hasn't gone free yet...crap...Nevermind, was thinking today was the 16th, not the 15th..duh!

No, you are right it should be free right now, Army of Two is (just checked on the console). Also technically it's the 16 th over here =P and the games always become free in the night from 15th to the 16th here.

EDIT: Both are free now =)

I'm angry. I purchased Battlefield: Hardline on April 6th, figuring it would be eligible for the promotion because its release date was March 17th. Getting closer to the measly credited $10 factored into my decision.

But nope! The game was made available for purchase on March 3rd, so I missed the promotional period by three days.

I'm furious. How the hell was I supposed to know when it was made available? Why include it in a link of games with a heading of "Get Going" if it didn't qualify in the first place?

I just....I'm running out of inanimate objects to kick over here. :bs:

You mean it was available for pre-order? Of course on the xbox page it says i was released M17th, I would think it should qualify, and If not I would complain to MS. I was gonna go for the deal too, cause there was a number of games I had in mind, but I was one day late on Zombie Army, and changed my mind. It really isn't a great deal, but if your gonna spend money on games anyway I guess it's a bonus.

If you talked to someone about it, and they confirmed you didn't qualify, then I'd be pissed, but the xbox store page for the game says otherwise, which gives you ground to debate.

Here is my post in their forum asking why I wasn't credited...and the moderator's lame reply...

I chatted with someone from Microsoft and stated my case:

[1] the game was included in their promotion's "Get Going" link, and

[2] the game's page only shows its release date, not its "made available" date.

The lady said she "totally understands" my frustration and is going to have a "team" look into it and get back to me. ...I'm not holding my breath.

I also called in to Microsoft and they gave me the Rewards Department phone number, which I will try calling: 877-696-7786

If XBL rewards worked consistently or correctly it would be great but this is the story of thing that makes me not actively bother with it. The whole thing is so opaque and never works the way the website indicates so I figure if I just happen to get something great but I'm not spending anything I wouldn't otherwise for it.
 
Xbox Support (800-469-9269) says they can see the purchase and understand my complaint, but can't make changes to my account history or ongoing promotional credits.  They tell me to call the Microsoft Store - 'they handle the rewards.'

Microsoft Store (877-696-7786) says its an Xbox.com purchase, so I need to talk to the Xbox people.

Classic circle-jerk.  What a waste.

Did you play Red Faction: Guerilla? Cheats were unlocking as I played which I thought was... well, different at least.

Too bad the first third of the game was such a slog, it could've been a real blast (pun intended).
 
I Enjoyed Red Faction: Guerrilla the whole way through. I'll never get tired of ramming my car into the wall of a building to rescue hostages. I Felt like a one man A-Team.

 
So what's the general consensus on Defense Grid 2? Is it as fun as the first? Is it just more of the same?

I have a feeling it'll definitely get cheaper and might even wind up a GWG at some point but I really enjoyed the first one and I'm tempted at $6 and change.

More of the same, which isn't a bad thing They did add a lot of annoying AIs fighting with each other, but you can turn down the volume during those parts.

Mine too, but it's been so long since she enjoyed a game as much as she enjoys Child of Light that I don't care.

 
So I got around to trying out Terraria tonight... it might be the quickest I've tried playing a GwG title in a while. Since it's kind of like Minecraft I guess I went in expecting to like it and I just don't. It seemed clunky. Whereas I have the Minecraft menu basically memorized, the Terraria one seemed kind of clunky- things just didn't seem intuitive even in the tutorial. It was definitely kind of disappointing and I'm glad I got it free. I think I have the game from the Amazon Appstore so I might try out the Android version on my tablet and see if that's any better. 

I can see why people would like it though. It seemed fun to play and all but I stopped after a short while. I know it's not Minecraft and is only a bit similar, but the entire time I was thinking "I really wish this was just Minecraft". 

First time I've played one of the free GwG games and not really liked it. Of course I haven't played most of them due to hard drive space (that update for 2TB externals can come any time) but I've liked the ones I have played.

No sale on either AC DLCs or older Army of Two games, and only 40% off on some of the older AC titles.

That's not how you make more money Ubisoft/EA/Microsoft.

 
I just cannot get Army of Two to successfully check out on Chrome or IE. AC-IV worked fine in IE, really wanted the other though, as I don't have it on anything yet.

The OP says you can't make purchases using your account balance. You must have a credit card/PayPal on file to make purchases, even if you are purchasing a free game.
