I would have been fine with Date Night being a bust since episode 3 of Life Is Strange just came out tonight. I'll probably get Jet Car Stunts, and if Mechanical is an easy 1k like I remember hearing, I'll probably get that as well.

Only bad part about date night tonight is I didn't get to play episode 2 of Life Is Strange until earlier today.

Passing on DBZ only because I buy the disc version everytime.

ooooo Soul Calibur ... TWO.   My only exposure to this game is a demo via a Gamecube disc. Correct me if I'm wrong, but each console had an exclusive character right? I believe Nintendo had Link, and Xbox or Playstation had Darth Vader and/or Yoda playable. 

As for the game itself, the thing I remember the most was the lack of load times in-between fights. You can lose a fight as a countdown starts from 10 to 1, you hit start, and BAM you can fight again. No stage select screen pops up like Street Fighter did.

Does this HD version hold up well?

Mafia II DLC. I think I already have those.

Darth Vader and Yoda were the console exclusives for Soul Calibur 4. For Soul Calibur 2, Xbox got Spawn and Ps2 got Heihachi. Both are playable in the Xbl version though. Link isn't obviously.

GCN and Xbox's characters were much better
 
Heihachi was banned from all the bigger console tournaments in my neck of the woods. He wasn't fair honestly. I'm a soul calibur junkie. Won a few grand in SC2 arcade tournaments over a few years.
 
I've never played a Dragon Age game. I normally steer clear of all the medieval swords and dragons action RPGs since there's a million of them out and they all look the same. However, it's Bioware. Mass Effect is my favorite game series of all time.

Is Awakening really worth $10? Is it story DLC that takes place after the main game, so once I finish the main game in two years, maybe Awakening will be cheaper by then? Or should I just get the Ultimate Edition on disc? I actually have the Ultimate Edition on Steam but I wasn't aware it wasn't controller compatible when I bought it. Plus, I need achievements.

I'll bite on SC2 this time if I can scrounge up some MS points. I feel like I declined during the last sale because I heard of some bugs or something, guess I should look into it again.

Pretty decent 360 sale overall, but I already have all the Metal Gear and Dragon Age stuff except that Inquisition DLC, which sounds like a waste of money anyways. Some cosmetic single player DLC and microtransaction consumables for multiplayer? Yuck. It sounds like the goofy stuff ME3 collector's edition gave you, but that also came with a substantial (and obnoxious because it was basically required) day one DLC.

I say just play every single thing Dragon Age related. Origins, Awakening, all the DLC, Dragon Age II and all of its DLC, and then Inquisition. Seriously. They're all great.

Awakening is pretty damn good. You can import your Origins character if you want, and it's pretty big. Like 20-25 hours if I remember correctly. Pretty interesting story too. Though I would recommend playing Origins first. I could see it being cheaper eventually, but it's already years old and Bioware DLC sales are fairly infrequent now.

It did have a standalone disc, though I think digitally it counts as DLC that requires you be playing it through Origins. As for Dragon Age itself, just keep in mind it's gameplay is much more similar to Knights of the Old Republic than Mass Effect. At least up through 2, I haven't played Inquisition yet but it seemed to try to be a hybrid of the original style and more action oriented one.

Anyways, I'd say it's worth $10. Definitely more than DA2. I really disliked the game for a ton of reasons that have been discussed to death. Though after playing it again a few months back I'd say I enjoyed it more, though I missed a party member I hated by luck, and knew how pointless some stuff was so I just ignored it.

Only weird thing about Awakening is it's plot is basically ignored in DA2 other than a couple returning characters, though I hear it comes up in Inquisition.

Edit: I'd disagree with some of Groo's post. A lot of Origins DLC (really all of it but Shale) felt pretty unneccesary. One is a pointless what if that isn't canon, one is worth it only if you like Lelianna a lot, and another is about Morrigan but short and pointless.

I didn't play any DA2 DLC other than the King whatever, but they did seem more substantial. I just disliked the game too much to buy extras for it. Same thing happened with Mass Effect 3, even though I loved the series and the game for the most part, the ending bothered me so much I lost interest in anything they put out DLC wise.

To each their own though. At the very least I'd say play the games first before deciding if you want DLC.

I'm in the 1% that really, really liked the ME3 ending (red anyway, the others were dumb). At least with the Extended Cut DLC. I'm fortunate enough to not experience the original ending without it. It's fresh in my mind because I finished it for the first time the other day expecting a crappy ending. It nearly brought me to tears of happiness/sadness instead. Still listening to the soundtrack on Spotify reminiscing the ending and series as a whole.

Well the extended cut DLC made the endings appropriate. Did you watch the original endings? It's about equivalent to Monty Python and the holy grail's, except they took what was a lack of budget and made brilliance.

ME..well nobody can figure out why they did what they did.
