Because that worked so well for Call of Duty, Need for Speed, Assasin's Creed, Battlefield, Batman, Skylanders, or any of the others that have succumb to it. Even if it works for a bit and then we get absolutely sick of them even if they don't get significantly worse. Though I guess that's what everybody wants, to buy the same game next year then moan about how it's the same game as this year and not as good as the same game from last year.

I'm surprised that I was able to play ESO today without many problems. Lots of people "teleporting" around during peak hours, especially inside the first town. Hopefully the servers will improve from here.

Plays like if Elder Scrolls series was an MMO, which is exactly what it is. I think some people were expecting it to be more like a co-op Elder Scrolls game when it first came out on PC.

I'll be starting a casual guild tomorrow. No raid schedules/points or login requirements (unless we fill up and need to make room). Send me a message on XBL if you'd like to join. GT is in sig.

Maybe it's just me, but I find that when I stream and my Xbox has been on a while (or if I do an instant on boot) it doesn't always want to co-operate. But if I turn it off completely, then on, it tends to fix whatever problem.

This means nothing in the current environment but Guwange, TWN and Bangai-O have all been on sale a few times in the lifetime of the X360. Seeing that MS has basically given up on putting arcade games on sale you are probably doing the right thing.

Storm Island is definitely worth it. Porsche expansion is great too, if you like Porsche. It adds a 10 new bucket list events and 500 gamerscore so it was worth it for me. If you don't care about Porsche at all, then it's not really worth it probably.

The points you add now expire a year after. The currency you add doesn't expire. There was a longer period when MS first converted over.

 
Supposedly the Souls games have three teams working on them. One was doing Dark Souls 2, one Bloodborne and moved on to Dark Souls 3, one doing DaS2 DLC and porting. Honestly I think the style of game here can deal with a two year dev cycle, but only as long as they don't run out of ideas. I'd call the Souls series a AA-tier game, not a AAA one, based on budget and studio size.

A lot of it comes down to player preference. Most of the hardcore Demon's Souls and Dark Souls 1 players disliked DaS2 more than the first two games. There are surely a lot of people who played Bloodborne not knowing what it was just  because it's a PS4 exclusive early in the generation, and that's going to cause another group to form.

That's sad to know that they do so little with each iteration yet takes 3 years. I realize it's mostly trivializing the process but yearly updates to franchises or constant sequels just remind me of sport games and make me turn to new franchises or indies instead of another sequel.

I wouldn't exactly say the change of scenery from Black Flag to Unity was "little". One of my favorite things with each game is just exploring the environment.

Eh, depends who is developing it. Neversoft died last year, the one Tony Hawk's company made was pretty meh. If it has a similar vibe to the old ones it could be cool.

I wonder why Activision is trying to resurrect these franchises they already killed by milking now. Do kids even care about skateboarding anymore? To be fair though, I never really cared either I guess, the games were just fun.

Ass Creed is different from the other yearly games though. While they have a couple main teams that focus on each game, when one gets closer it seems most of the devs come together to "polish" the current game for release. They pretty much all have about a THOUSAND people in their credits compared to the 100-300 most other games get. Pretty sure that's how the bug fiesta of Unity happened, as well as the "I'm 5 games slapped together" feel of Revelations, and BORING of 3.

At least CoD games have one team that truly gets to focus for 3 years.

Nice can't wait, preordered at BB a couple weeks ago. Been fiending for a new skateboard game. Really want Skate 4 but EA are assholes so I'll settle for some THPS. Just hope its good, the last good game they dropped was Project 8 in 2006 and then it went downhill fast lol.

Damn Tony looks old haha. It's sad that I only recognize like 2 names on the cover. They should definitely bring back some skaters from the old game like Bam and Bob Burnquist. I actually have been playing THPS4 a lot recently and it's awesome, hopefully they find a way to capture what made the first games in the series great.

Apparently they are aware of that, though, and specifically mentioned making it less floaty than HD was. So it could be good? I hope so.

Maybe they'll make it custom character and weapon skins. I'd rather it be things like that be paid for content than maps, since that keeps playlists full and available to all.

And for those mentioning muska, margera and Burnquist I'd assume those names would be on the cover if they were in the "base" game. Really wouldn't surprise me if all three come as DLC at some point, those three would be huge sellers.

And what are the chances we will ever see anther bmx game? I like the THPS games better but Dave Mirra BMX was pretty damn fun until they ran that series into the ground.

I have no idea but would love some BMX games. Matt Hoffman Pro BMX was fun too, I also really liked BMX XXX even though most people probably didn't.

Remember how Kelly Slater was a guest character in one of the Tony Hawk games. Instead of a skateboard he used a surfboard. I hope they have more things like that, and fictional characters, like Iron Man and Darth Maul. I guess with Xbox Avatars in THPSHD you could do this yourself, but it's not the same.

I felt the same way about that Shaun Palmer Pro Snowboarding game. Tony Hawk games let you go anywhere, while Snowboarding made you go all the way down the slope to warp back and restart back at the top with the timer still running.

First I heard of The Old Blood getting a physical release. That's awesome news! Wolfenstein: The New Order is my favorite game on Xbox one.
 
I've been debating wether or not to pre order batman arkham knigt brcuase of the recent letdowns of games releasing with glitches and just not being a fully polished and was wondering you're guy's input for pre ordering batman if I should or shouldn't.

yeah I cancelled my arkham knight, I dont want to support their bullshit dlc, and the last batman was broken at launch. goona buy the old blood physical probably

You're better off just waiting then. I'm sure you'll be able to get it for $20 off within a couple months. Of course there will also be the complete edition with all DLC at some point.

yeah it will be cheap within a couple of months but im hyped for this game and just want to buy it but don't want to be let down from it being broken and have wasted money on it.

yeah I heard about their dlc bs sucks that already they announce a season pass even when the game hasn't come out and what batman are you talking about that was broken and yea been wanting to buy the old blood but physical copy also zombie army trilogy
