I would jump on the AC:Chronicles physical release (for Vita though), but often times UbiSoft releases disc compilations, whether of digital-only titles or full games with their DLC, of Assassin's Creed games in Europe without releasing them in other territories. My gut says we won't see it in NA, though I will import the Vita version still.

 
So that's it for these sales I think. Got myself Far Cry 4, the Lara Croft game, Korra and AssCreed China. While there are others that have a rather tempting price, I suspect all of them would be buried in my backlog deep enough to see a better sale before I get to play them. Borderlands has a neat price but I am kinda burnt out by the series, and I'm not into supporting Gearbox after their business strategy in the past years. Mordor's price is neat but with the GOTY coming out I sure can wait. Especially since I have like 4 indies to review in a week or so. Busy times ahead, and while I can't say much about what I'm writing about and how they are individually, I'll just say that there's some quality indies/arcades coming up the next few weeks. Even a 360 exclusive one.

 
If you have the Japan version of Onigiri installed, check your "ready to install" list.  The (presumably) English release showed up there for me.

 
I have a dumb question.  I bought the Ultra Season 1 for Killer Instinct (the one that was $40 and came with the 1st arcade game) months ago.  I see the ultimate bundle sale price is only a few dollars more than the Ultra Season 2 sale price.  If I get the Ultimate BUNDLE, am I getting more costumes and accessories that the Ultra Season 1 didn't come with?  I thought it came with all accessories, but there are still colors/costumes that appear to be locked for the season 1 fighters.  I am embarrassed that I would spend even a couple more bucks for something as trivial as cosmetic stuff, but I'd be even more embarrassed if I bought the Ultimate bundle and rebought essentially the same thing.

 
I just bought the ultimate bundle (the one that is currently $32 on sale). With it I got every character from S1 & S2, killer instinct classic 1 & 2. When I go to change a character's costume, the options available are the default and the classic. The rest are locked.

I don't know if that helps you at all.

There are alt costume options under the "retro/classic" costume when you edit it that are unlocked - none I believe are locked. 

However, with the default character costumes, those costume options are unlocked by leveling up the character in gameplay.  I believe you can also buy "gold" (with real money) to unlock those things faster.  I don't think any game pack/bundle/collection unlocks *everything.*

Other note:

Anyone have difficulty finishing the install for World of Tanks?  Mine stops at 83% and will not finish.  Any ideas?

The new version seems to be in English. All the game servers appear to be down at the moment, so we'll see what happens once they are back up.

Ok. Then if I am understanding you correctly, I should buy the Ultra Season 2 (since I already have Ultra Season 1), instead of the Ultimate Bundle if nothing unlocks all the locked costumes/accessories.

I'm all digital now, but I can see why some people want the disc to trade a game in after they're done. But Groo is right. If it is a game with unlimited replay value, there is little to no reason to trade it in. And by the time most people get around to trading games in, it is for little money and sometimes more than a little effort. Disc purchases should only be for games where you know you'll just play the campaign once and won't come back to again. Or maybe an unknown multiplayer game to test if you like or not. $32 to get everything is crazy good to pass up.

With there most likely being a season 3, any chance of a hard copy would probably be late 2016 to early 2017. There is a season 1 hard copy that doesn't include everything in season 1, so maybe they'll do something like that for season 2. To get everything, you will want to get the $32 version on sale now.

 
I do want to eventually get Game of Thrones but surely the SP drops to $10 by the holidays.

With that said. What about Tales from the Borderlands? Lower than $12.50?

I can't say definitively, as I only bought Ultra Season 1 and then Ultra Season 2 - not the Complete Collection... if you already own Ultra Season 1, I think just purchasing Ultra Season 2 is the way to go. I don't think the Complete Collection gives you anything in addition to what you would get from Ultra Seasons 1 & 2. But I could be wrong.

Messi's always going to be on the cover, at least for the next little while. Also, I think that's just the UK cover, not the EU.
 
Alright, so my only purchase during this Ultimate Games Sale has been Goat Simulator for Xbone for my younger brother, but I just read 360/Xbone are getting another version of it later this year.

Is it confirmed to be a separate game/DLC? Do I have to buy this better version or will there be an upgrade available for the base game I already own?

I don't trade in my games. I have a huge place for KI in my heart so I glad pay for just a box. Also I can let friends borrow it, display it, use it as a coaster, ect. I just prefer everything on disc. Hell i'm very tempted to double dip on Shovel Knight, even though I waited months for a release than ended up buying digital than bam! Here's a retail release smh.

I have plenty of digital only games on PS3/360. So much that i end up deleting titles in my backlog, to make space for other titles. Evenutally I forget what i own digitally. With disc based games, I always have something to tell me I own that game. I keep inventory for every game I own, however I don't count my digital library. What I started doing is keeping empty boxes to remind me i own them, like when MGS went free on PS4. I disc only it to GS and have the case there with my games. Even though I found a cheap copy on CL and repurchased it. Pointless? Probably to most people. However I'm sure theres people out there like me.

Cheaper = better, but if you like metroidvanias you won't be disappointed. It will probably hit $5-10 for the holidays, but if it's not going into your backlog it is quite a good platformer. Just don't be like me and spend an hour getting hanging platforms swinging closer to each other when your normal jump will clear the gap. :p
 
Set a new consecutive achievement mark tonight at 106 straight days.  I was unemployed when I originally did the 105 straight days so now that I have been gainfully employed it was a little hard to pull off.  I can see being able to get to 200 days before I end up at a conference that I will be unable to play.

I use an Excel workbook for this. I have a sheet for On Demand and one for XBLA, sorted alphabetically and listed with size and whether I've completed them or not. :D/

It seems my final haul will be:
