Wow the Forza Horizon SP went on sale again? I was upset when I procrastinated and missed out on it a few weeks ago. Glad to see it back so soon. Already re-downloading Horizon. No procrastination this time!

I'll pick up Enslaved as well.

 
I had a one hour chat conversation with a Microsoft rep trying to find out why I can't purcahse Tales of Vesperia or Bully off the webstore. Just get an error that says "content not available on consoles in your region" rep had no clue and has forwared the issue on to a team of specialists :p Seems like an awful lots of trouble for two games that cost 3.xx. But I really want tales in case it goes BC :p

 
Does TTT2 require the online pass or is that included with the $4.99? I completely forgot back when I had this on PS3 that it had an online pass.

EDIT: Never mind. Of course it would. I need to buy this and go to sleep.

I'm hoping someone can help clarify an EA Access question.  Do the vault games work just like any other purchased games in terms of usage?  If I have those games downloaded to my home console, can any user play those games?  Also, do I have access to those games on any other console (with my login) just like regular purchased games?

Yes. Yes. Yes.

Downloading is different though, as you have to do it through the EA Access app while signed in. Once queued, you can sign out of course. I haven't deleted any games, so not sure if they stay on install list or if you have to go through the app again. I would guess the later.

I think you're forgetting that the 360 played DVDs while X1 games are blu-ray, and therefore MUCH more storage capacity.

I'm pretty sure you can just go straight to the marketplace for EA Access games once you are a subscriber. Haven't used the app since buying a year of EA Access last fall.

I did read somewhere that the 360 games included with the physical copy would be included in a code instead of on-disc. I was hoping that was just a rumor, but it makes sense with what you just quoted. If you buy it digitally, they just add the 360 games to your game library. That's a shame. I'd like to see the games integrated into the Rare Replay collection instead of them just giving us the Games on Demand versions.

This is disappointing. Makes sense why people were having to reinstall those games now. I thought this was full integration but ah well. Still excited for this.
 
Well, looks like I'm definitely cancelling my Rare Replay preorder now.  I can get a code cheap and then wait for the disc to drop in price. (and I already have most of the 360 games)

Borderlands Collection and ESO are both $40 new at Gamestop this week.

 
Every time I hear more news about the Rare Replay I get more and more disappointed with it. First with it not really having 10,000 GS since I already played most of the 360 games(I was hoping for new achievements). And now with the 360 games being on a code. :cry:

I'm probably still going to pick it up since it's only $30.

 
Even if they didn't include the 360 games at all, I'd still buy it for $30. I'd prefer separate achievement lists too, but not a deal breaker for me. Probably would be cheaper than if they sold the games individually.

I just realized the BC games were probably updated to work with Xboxs not in preview program otherwise there would be a lot of pissed off people if they couldn't play some of the games when it launches on the 4th.
 
So for the games that are (or will become) backwards compatible on the Xbox One - for physical disks, once I put the disc in, I understand that the digital version of the game will install on the Xbox One. I assume going forward I would still need to insert the disc everytime I wanted to play on the Xbox One, correct?

I don't understand why 360 games coming as a download code in Rare Replay is a deal breaker for some of you. If it was on disc you'd still have to download them all to your HD. This just means you don't have to have the disc in to play. Sounds win win to me, unless what you're actually worried about is resale value of the disc.

Because it's just nicer having a collection where all the games are integrated into one disc with flashy menus and interesting information about them. Namco Museum Volume 3 for PS1 comes to mind, for instance. It's neat being able to select from all the games in one place, with gameplay footage, instruction manuals, release information, etc. thrown in while you're browsing games. This may still be the case, but I doubt it.

I'm cancelling my physical copy pre-order but I'll still get it if it goes on sale digitally. Buying a physical collection of games where a large handful of the games are on a download code is awkward, I'd rather have all physical or all digital. It won't be worth as much if I decide to resell it, and if I loan the disc to a friend, he/she won't have access to all of the games. Those are two of the biggest perks to owning a game physically vs digitally.

Ya, pretty sure that's not true as the south central ultimate content pack is listed in the add-ons for $12.50. Maybe you're thinking of MC LA Complete or Remix or something.

I find it funny it still has 4,000 GS yet some people won't buy because of it not having a true 10,000 unique. That is still FOUR times the standard amount and it is a half price game. If you are a Gmerscore lover, this is still a fantastic option - unless of course they tie a bunch of points behind beating Battletoads without dying - good luck with that.

And as far as the 360 games delivery format, who cares? You don't get a Rare collection for the games they made on the 360. They did their best work prior to Microsoft buying them out. In fact, my biggest problem with the collection is that they chose 360 games and left Battletoads for SNES off the list.

Also, I would have loved some of their Nintendo property games (DKC, Diddy Kong Racing and Star Fox Adventures for example), but obviously that isn't going to happen. Apparently Nintendo has been really cool on working to get things like Banjo and Perfect Dark ported to 360 according to the guys that worked on those, but Nintendo definitely will not let their first party properties on XBox.

It has Battletoads NES and Battletoads Arcade. It does not have Battletoads Genesis (upgraded NES version) or Battletoads in Battlemaniacs (SNES version). The SNES version was fantastic, several levels are just remixes, but it was still fun - and much better than the crazy flicker on the NES.

Also, MS needs to contract Wayforward for a Battletoads/Double Dragon Neon game.

Totally agree on the DD/BT game.

But, Battlemaniacs was just a remix of the best levels of the NES version. Watch a playthrough of both side by side. While it is much more impressive they got it to work on the NES, the SNES version just runs better and looks better.

If it was $19.99 like on PSN, it wouldve been instabuy. I am not paying 40 bucks for something I already played on 360 and bought DLC for it on 360, too. So I may have a 'complete' game on 360 - not sure which DLC i am missing, if any.

Hope you are right and really see no reason why you shouldn't be. In fact, since unlike PS+, the 360 lets you keep the game even if your Gold lapses so it should also be easier to validate than it would on PS4 with the whole lapse and lose scenario.
 
PSA- there is an achievement available for Halo 3 ODST in the MCC today that only comes on the 22nd of the month.

Do You Remember When We Met - Play a game of Halo 3 ODST on the 22nd of any month.
