It's kind of like a zombie sim game from what I've gathered. You don't spend the whole time fighting zombies rather than finishing people and supplied. It also plays the game in real time when you're not on the system.

Does the game appear as purchasable if you view it in the Xbox store?
 
I Just installed my season pass from the disc version of Trials Fusion and yeah was able to download the game and play it no problem without the disc. It came up as a "Ready to Install" once I punched in the season pass AR code. Not a bad deal for $10.

Though wouldn't be surprised if this gets patched since Microsoft can easily take away any freebies.

Played Qube Directors Cut, and got 850 achievement points in 4 hours without trying too hard.

Liked it..in some ways it reminded me of Portal.

I loved State of Decay (XB1) - I think some of the issues (time continues in the game when you're away, only carrying one resource in a car at a time) were fixed for the XB1 (and maybe subsequent patches for 360). Anyhow, the game is awesome and I found it very addictive - didn't want to stop. I even felt some of a connection to the characters. Anyway, for a description - it's a third person open world zombie survival game with some light resource management options. Lots of exploring and rescuing survivors while continuing the story. Honestly, I'm not sure what another game "like it" would be. Given the discounted price, if you're at all interested, pick it up.

Counterpoint - I hated State of Decay on Xbox one. The graphics upgrade was minimal and made for an ugly game and I found the gameplay boring and uninspiring.

This has got to be the stupidest thing I've ever heard. The whole point of buying something as a deluxe edition or with a season pass is to pay for everything up front and receive any future updates. Glad to know devs still have ways of screwing us over.

 
That squid hero game just makes me frustrated that we still don't have an Xbox one version of Octodad because m$ is being jerks to the developers.

I got the 1000/1000 in QUBE, definitely recommend it, does have a similar feel to Portal imo as well, but I did feel it was harder then Portal as well

Yeah. I am distant acquaintences with one of the creators and he told me they've had it ready for Xbox one for awhile now but its locked up in Microsoft redtape.

If I try to start a game up that I bought, it will start up, then kick me out after a few seconds and say that I need to connected to Xbox Live

Go to network settings. Core live services are down.

As for game sharing, that is working as designed. Your home xbox (his) can play games offline, any other console has to be signed in. Vice versa, so you can access his purchased content.

Yes, I'm realizing that core services are messed up right now, but everything on my dashboard/accessing the store/etc is working on my console as if I was connected to Xbox Live, I'm not offline accept when trying to access my purchased games

Spent the last two days running down Riddler trophies in Arkham Knight...finally I was able to lock up Riddler just a few minutes ago, and no achievement popped. Greeeeaaat.

I don't think they're hurrying to get it out because they've abandoned the yearly cycle on it and are launched a Hearthstone style hub since they want that crazy Hearthstone money. Last year's XB1 release was super delayed compared to the other platforms for whatever reason too.

Yeah, try the 360 demo like said above. I've played a LOT of Dead Rising and they aren't similar at all. State of Decay is pretty solid, and for a while it was getting decent additions for free through patches to add features. There's an emphasis on resource management that made if feel different than a lot of the other zombie games I've played, and it's not a half-assed, tacked-on feature.

You can still unlock them while playing offline or when live is messing up, but they won't pop up until you're back online. With XBL messing up today, you were still unlocking achievements, but they weren't popping up.
 
should have gotten a story progression achievement in black flag but it doesn't even show as unlocking on my end. I sure hope it gets resolved :\

well about a half hour later, it did register. phew!

An old Grand Theft Auto, Maybe 3 or Vice City era

(I'll bet I just pissed off a lot of State of Decay fans a) for comparing it to a 15 year old massive franchise game and for b) how true it is)

Think GTA 3... and think of a Knock off from around that time that did most the same stuff but was a little weaker in its execution.

I picked up AC as it reviewed fairly well and it seems to shift a little to the arcade side for gameplay from past versions. For I believe $3.74 it looks great and should hold me over until this gen catches up. I couldn't pull the trigger on any of the 3d pac man's as i'm sure I will regret it, they look to pretty to have the gameplay to back it up for a 3rd tier title.
