You roll the ball with two hands (each hand mapped to a thumbstick), so offset sticks take a little getting used to, especially if you were weaned on the original PS2 games. That being said, it's possibly the best in the series as it has larger worlds than before and the best soundtrack of all in my opinion. You can't go wrong by buying it, especially if you enjoy quirky/excessively Japanese games.

Seriously, it's worth getting for the crazy music and visuals alone. It's one of those games that is impossible to play without smiling.

I didn't have any major control issues with it and have played the ps2 Katamari games. At this price I'd tell people to give it a shot, it is very different kind of game, it's also very Japanese fwiw. That said, I've had a lot of fun playing the games over the years and would be happy to have a new iteration on xbox one. I'd say it's a unique gem.

 
Katamari controls fine on a 360 controller, everyone is blowing it way out of proportion. The odd way Katamari controls in general takes more getting used to than the slightly less optimal controller. It's also your only option on Xbox, grab it if the idea sounds fun to you. It's a great game.

I think Castle Crashers had some kind of MS support, it was exclusive forever, probably because of that. Sounds like CC Remastered is adding a decent amount of stuff, maybe enough that they expect people to buy it again. CC probably won't go on sale again either, to get people who haven't bought it to buy the remaster.

 
Im wondering if any new BC games will be added for preivew members or is nothing changing till it rolls out for everyone, want to play through fall of cybertron again, but its hard to go back to that console

Beautiful Katamari was a wonderful gaming experience I even 100% ed the game including the dlc (which is/was 80 MSP per DLC).

I had no problem with the steering or whatever, just tons of fun. Can't say it was hard game in any way, also fun to find all the hidden objects in each world =) sometimes you get too big to see some of them =P

 
Eh. I tend to think that one Katamari game, maybe two, was plenty. After We Love Katamari it just started to feel like a one trick pony to me. Rather like Crazy Taxi, actually.

I bought South Park: The Stick of Truth for $5.59 at Best Buy clearance on Friday, expecting that on sale tonight for $5 or August GwG.

 
I tried to hold out...but I couldn't. I had DS2:SotFS and sold it a couple months ago, but that $35 on the sales screen kept mocking me...so I repurchased it.

That's absolutely not true, and that's the first time I've heard of that ever being an issue. I've owned the game since release and I've never had any problems with it. Not even at the beginning. I've been playing the games since the first one, the PSP and smartphone games are the only ones to avoid due to controls. I would say Katamari Forever on PS3 is the go-to Katamari game for old and new fans alike, but for someone who doesn't own a Sony console, Beautiful Katamari is totally a worthy title to pick up.

Pac-Man & the Ghostly Adventures is alright. It's an attempt to revive the collectathon platformer genre, but lacks the exploration since it's linear. It plays like Ratchet & Clank (even some of the environments are similar), minus the weapons and crazy action, plus much more things to collect.

Probably. Katamari games are easy to learn but tough to master. If neither of you have played a Katamari game, then you'll both be learning together and hilarity will most likely ensue along the way.

 
I'm excited for the windows 10. Supposedly, you can play your Xbox one then pass the game to your computer keep playing and pass it back to the Xbox. This would be awesome for me with the little kids. While they are watching their shows on the living room TV I can pass the game to the lap top then pass it back to the TV after they go to bed. Hope it works. There are only so many times you can watch the same episode of Dora before you start to tune it out. There are like 300 episodes of mickey mouse but let's play the same five for 3 months straight. I'm pretty sure we didn't miss it. You can show a different one.

yeah, it's pretty nice. You don't exactly "pass" the game to a different screen, but yeah...it'll work exactly like you want it to. There's a few videos on youtube if you're curious to see it in action.

Also, if you're in the same room as your Xbox, you can just use your wireless controller like normal...but if you're too far from the xbox, you'll need to plug in your controller wired into your windows 10 device.
