1.  Having played and enjoyed Assassin's Creed: Black Flag and Assassin's Creed: Rogue, is AC3 worth it or is it a case of Black Flag doing better in pretty much all categories?  I have heard terrible things about the main character as well.

2.  Does the hacking in Mass Effect ever get any better or is it always just awful?

Are you in power save or instant on?

My wired connection would go out about once a day when using instant on. Changed to power save, no issues since.

AC3 has a strong argument for one of the worst in the series. It set the framework for what a lot of AC4 did so well but it just didn't execute on it all that well. And most people hated the characters and what not and found it bland. Only got like half way on it but I loved 4 and it's not 4.

The only AC I ever fully played was 3 -.- lolol (and i liked it)

 
Has anyone on this thread played Forza Horizon 2? $25 seems a bit steep for a year old game with no added content, but it looks nice and laid back.

 
It's actually a really good arcade racer. A lot more casual than the usual racing game. And doesn't have such a hard learning curve as the other more realistic racing sims.

Thanks for the info. I played through some of 1 and 2 and didn't care for them all that much. A friend suggested trying out Black Flag because I'm a fan of pirate-related stuff. (Just picked up season 2 of Black Sails from Amazon) I loved that game. The eavesdropping missions got a little annoying, but otherwise it was great. I ended up getting Rogue and enjoying it in spite of it feeling like little more than a large Black Flag expansion.

 
A quick questions:

1. I played and beat LA Noire (and it's DLCs) before selling the game. I don't know if I want to rebuy it since I don't remember if there's any actual things left to do. I know I can replay cases to get 5 stars, but is there anything else (a la what GTA or RDR have)?

EDIT: Does this sale end on Monday (sunday night) or will it bleed into Tuesday morning?

I know we're mainly suppose to talk about the sales directly here but I was wondering if anyone has added an SSD for their external hdd.  Basically I'm wondering if they've noticed much difference in the download speed and just the general response in loading things up as well.

Have about $35 I'm going to save for another sale. Would get Handsome collection for Forza Horizon 2 but I'm still playing Fallout 4.

You won't regret it. It's bigger and better than the first and my favorite racer this gen by far. Watch for sales on Storm Island, it's a pretty awesome expansion.

Going off memory here and want to say no. The only real side missions i remember was hunting down famous LA locations. Loved the game, but don't think I would play through it again.

Yeah, great game. Just beware the Ultimate Edition is bugged and you can't get Storm Island for 50% off ($10) like you should be able to with VIP. It's been bugged a long time, not sure if they are going to fix it.

SSD difference is negligible. There have been tests of RPMs, SSDs, and hybrids. You get an increase in speed on an external via the USB 3.0 due to lack of the drive being used for multiple purposes (internal is slower because it's natively doing things in the background already, if I'm remembering the reasoning right). You're better off going for capacity than tech for your console storage.

Hey, a couple dumb questions. I got a Windows tablet during a Black Friday sale but my wife isn't giving it to me til Christmas.

Are those mobile games still 10 cents? I'd like to stock up while they're on sale.

Is there a way to purchase them through my ms account while they're on sale and then download once the tablet is up and running? I'm guessing I have to buy them from the tablet but I thought I'd ask. I didn't see anything helpful from Bing/Google.


Edit: Yeah, just tried buying hitman go for 10 cents and it wouldn't let me. Any workaround?

The sale on most of the games ends in 2 days. The Halo games sale ends in 19 hours.

Cool, thanks. Looks like I'm out of luck for the sale. I find it odd that I can go on the ms store website, but whatever I want for Xbox or pc and it'll download that that device, but I can't buy a mobile game without having Windows 10. I understand not being able to play it, obviously, but I can't even purchase it?

I still had $37 in credit to burn from the Xbox promotion last summer that expires near christmas, and i dont see any other deals popping up i may want by then.

Grabbed Forza Horizon 2 and Season Pass. 

I made the mistake of grabbing the season pass earlier in the week hoping for a deal on the retail version but no luck. so $2.50 wasted  :drool:
