Correct. Here is the answer from the FAQ.

How do I open the Xbox 360 guide on my Xbox One?
When you play an Xbox 360 game on Xbox One, you can access the Xbox 360 guide by pressing the View and Menu buttons on your Xbox One controller at the same time.

Note Some games use these buttons independently for separate functions. Watch for unexpected actions if you press one button before the other.

i call those buttons "dash dash dash" and "box box" just because its good for a laugh when i refer to them during game chat or with friends

they rarely have a context in a game that corresponds to the icons they printed next to the buttons on the controller

"view" and "menu" doesn't do a good enough job describing which button is which

Yeah ah my 360 boots up hella lot faster than my Xbox One. This is why I always just use the suspend feature and never really wait unless I moved the system, booting it up for the first time again, or restarting it. Love that feature with my One & 3DS.

I still call them Start and Select, and most people know what I'm talking about. One of my friends tries to tease me that they aren't called that, and I tell him they are, there are just typos on the controllers.

 
You'd think they would have the Director's Cut version of Dues Ex too. Hopefully Portal means Orange Box and the Left 4 Deads will come eventually too.

Tried this a couple days ago and I could not get it to work. The best I could do was a black screen with random blaster fire flying at me and my lightsaber would move but never deflect anything.

I like the idea though and can see the potential in playing around with tech like this too.

I only played little over 2-5mins and had to stop owing to the fact that I was at work. I know it wont work flawless, but it did ok and I can see that I wont be playing past 2-3 times but it looks fun nevertheless.
 
Yeah I am really bummed by the list like everyone else. I mean I am happy to have Hydro Thunder and Ticket to Ride because at least they have local multiplayer but really MS? Weren't we pretty much promised that Bioshock and Black Ops would be on this list?

 
I bet Activision will not allow call of duty to be backwards compat. Why let ppl play the old ones when you need them buying the yearly release and dlc packs.
 
I totally understand the disappointment with the BC list, but for me I swore off caring about BC when I made the terrible decision of buying an Atari 7800 instead of an NES because "hey it's compatible with all those 2600 games." And yes I'm old. Now get off my lawn.

They still charge stupid amounts for them. Plus they never release "goty" versions that come with everything.

I only ask because The Orange Box can be considered a compilation disk and other compilation disks have let me install individual games from them. Oh well, maybe in the future.

Some of the Microsoft games are games they don't own (Braid, Iron Brigade, Portal, Spelunky), so those devs had to approve them being BC.

Everything I've read says that the power to say yes/no lies with the pubs and not the devs. Since MS is doing the heavy technical lifting of making the games work the devs don't NEED to be involved.

Tried looking for several games, used multiple web browsers, logging in & out, etc.

Although it is the same game, Portal on XBLA is a different game with some extra levels, I believe, and is completely treated like a separate game with separate achievements so it's not the same in this case.

I was gonna mention the 2600 to 7800 debacle along with other poor BC moments like the issues with OG to 360 or the fail on the PS3 with the removal of hardware. Not only did I make the same choice, but my parents made me sell my 2600 and some games before I could get the 7800. At least I kept ET.

Red Dead Revolver played fine in SD, but was unplayable in HD because everything on screen flashed non-stop in a non-synchronous siezure inducing mess.

I'll always remember the release manager at my first job saying she once shipped out blank CDs to customers because it was the end of the quarter and our contract stipulated we had to get something out. Didn't care for the time when it was me driving around late on the last day of the quarter looking for a still open late night Fedex dropoff to get CDs into their system.

Earlier this year :

"Hey, we need to get these images for Apple Watch up on our web site to show our software works with it."

"Ok, it's done."

Short while later :

"Crap, we need those taken down now! We weren't supposed to post them until after Apple's announcement."

I enjoyed my 7800. Summer Games, Winter Games, Impossible Mission that was really impossible. Though even if it could be beaten, I never figured out what the hell was going on anyway. Spent a lot of time with Robotron, Food Fight and Desert Falcon. Really wish the 7800 version of Desert Falcon had been ported to the Game Room. At least the arcade version of Food Fight was. I'll eventually get the time playing achievements in it from that, though I wish I could buy more stuff to get the rest of the achievements. Silly MS.

I remember playing Combat with my older brother. We just waited around for the other to move, then pressed the button when the mover stupidly wandered into the line of fire (from sheer boredom). Game over.

I also remember being blown away with Basketball. ....Just look at that ball - its square! You actually don't 'shoot' the ball, you just press the button on the joystick and your player simply raises his hand to stop from dribbling...and the ball floats over in the general vicinity of the basket. And you'll notice sometimes the player actually shoots downward to the basket, as the game is obviously operating in a ridiculously-basic 2D frame. But my word, back in the day, it was glorious.
