So many people consistently complain about the sales it boggles my mind. I play a crap load of games and probably 90% are bought when on sale in some form and I keep finding things to buy on a regular basis. This sale I bought Bedlam, Adventures of Pip and both King's Quest games all of which I believe had yet to go on sale. 50-75% off seems like good deals to me, this is usually the range I buy in. I just rescanned the sale and there are plenty of good deals to be had and at good prices. Could some stuff be cheaper? Yeah and it will eventually... maybe,  but good lord people it seems like nothing will the stop complaining.

To make this more positive here are some recommendations for those who don't already own them:

Forza Fast and Furious - some might have missed the freebie and this game is a lot of fun for $5

King's Quest - so cheap you should buy it twice and actually play it at least once

All the Lego games - not my jam but these are good deals and many enjoy them

Peggle 2 - a great casual game to play for a few minutes and it comes with the 2 dlc

Titanfall - many already have it but this game is a true classic for any fps fans plus all the dlc is free 

Book of Unwritten Tales - another very well made adventure game(this one is about 20 hours long) though I would recommend King's Quest over it

Wonder if this has to do with future BC as well. I know Borderlands 1 included all the DLC when it was BC on X1.

Edit: Doesn't apply to all games, Dungeon Siege 3 still needed to the DLC bought and some other games. But I know Borderlands 1 wasn't the only game that came with all the DLC. I forget the other games sadly.

One can hope. Also seems like a classic stupid Activision move when you think about it. You would think the description for the game on XBL would tell you that the previous DLC is included, but of course they neglect to put that little tidbit in there.

Unless it was super recent (as in two weeksish ago), this won't be the case. I was just playing the vanilla version of MUA a couple of weeks ago and was really missing the DLC characters.

Ultimate Alliance was onsale when II went to bed last night around 2-3am. I got up and went grocery shopping, grabbed an XBL card on my way out due to the 10% discount.

When I logged on to grab the UA series.. they're $40 again!

Was it a limited sale, or what's going on?

Yeah Activision makes some bumbling decisions. Let's not even get started on the two Prototype games that run worst on the X1/PS4 then they did on the 360 and they were $50 ($60?) at release together on the X1.

I couldn't get to my 360 to buy MUA in time, and I couldn't get back to my code stack in time to keep from pissing off some dude in the trade forum and getting negative feedback. :( Holiday cheer* + 2 nieces + 1 nephew climbing all over me and each wanting me to play with their new toys with them = time vacuum. Damn cute little bastards.

I'm gonna complain on Activision's twitter account. I don't think its fair. The description on XBL should tell you the DLC is included. That's a huge selling point for many people and if it was common knowledge I'm sure a lot more copies would have been sold. I think the sale for both games should be extended another day at least.

Its not that its not cheaper or going to be cheaper, but like nearly every other sale we have had all year, physical is cheaper. That and 98% of this supposed giant sale have been on sale several times throughout the year. XBLA has hundreds of games and only a handful were on sale this year. There are games that are still being sold at launch prices and never seen a sale or price drop. There are games that sell maybe a couple dozen copies a year that people would buy if they gave a discount to. I've spent less than $40 all year on digital Xbox content because I am not paying launch prices and have no interest in the regulars(aka most of the shit in this sale.) There are probably hundreds of digital games I would buy(and I might not even get around to playing them) if they tried discounting them, but they aren't important enough to me to pay full price. I have a giant balance of MS credit that keeps growing(MS rewards and MSstore promos). It's not that hard to get me to spend the money, just put some of those games that have not been on sale since they launched 7 years ago and put them at %50 off. If something like Half Minute Hero for XBLA was put on 50% off sale they would probably sell more copies in that week than they have in the past 3 years combined.The complaining will stop when they stop with the same rehashed more expensive than physical deals that they regularly roll out every few weeks and put things that people want to buy(have waited years for) on sale. Whoever is in charge of MS's digital store deserves to be fired.

DLC Sales would be nice...at this point I have some many games in my backog, that every game is a potential GWG title and I have lost interest in buying new games....only want to get dlcs to have "complete" games. Not totally abandonded buying games but it's very very limited.

 
Well, at least we have the new weekly sales and date night to look forward to tomorrow. Perhaps someone in Microsoft's marketing department will put the crack pipe down long enough to skim here and Reddit for customer reactions and requests for the new sales. Somehow I doubt it, and these sales were likely decided weeks ago.

One can only hope for a DLC sale this time around, right? Because that seems to be a big request all around.

In all seriousness, as much as I make fun of the Rockstar deals, I did sell off a bunch of games today trying to upgrade to digital, and RDR was one of them. Has that game ever hit $5 at any point in time? I think that's the only Rockstar game I don't own digitally besides Table Tennis.

 
Wow - quite a bit to catch up on over the past 24 hours. Mostly racism and football related banter. So, I didn't miss much.

Yes, this week has been so-so. Hopefully tomorrow brings a new wave of stuff we can love/hate together.

So far, I've grabbed Dragon Age GOTY (for the DLC), Need for Speed Deluxe (loved the Access trial), and Lego Star Wars for BC. 

Hopefully this week Larry gives us that Alien Isolation Collection I want so badly...
