Well a huge good sale for this week so I finally decided to pick up Ori and the Blind Forest & Lego Movie Videogame. I only pick up Lego games at $5 lol.

Yeah they're still good until early Tuesday morning. They will be gone in 12 hours though.

 
Looks like its time to pick up Sleeping Dogs DE again. Any comments on X1 Alien Isolation? I had it briefly on PS4, but only got to the part where the Alien is first introduced? Seems like a lot of game for only $10 though.

Someone talk me out of purchasing Destiny the Taken King (especially the Collector's Edition). I started playing on the PS4 when it first came out but just couldn't get into it. After watching a few reviews on the Taken King, I'm getting the itch again....

Planned on waiting for fallout 4 to drop more because of my backlog but.. Who knows how long that will be and you still get the fallout 3 code till February. Even though I'll probably never play 3 again I convinced myself it being thrown in makes it totally worth it. Also in for alien, screw it.

Very true. I have quite a bit of XBox credit, so I might just pick up Rise of the Tomb Raider and then trade my physical disk into Best Buy. I can then use that to purchase Destiny the Taken King Legendary (with GCU) cheaper. Is the collector edition stuff worth looking into though?

As much as people try and claim it's changed.. it really hasn't.

While there is more narrative, the game is the same mechanics, gameplay and many of the same environments you already were bored of in the first year.

If you didn't like it then, more then likely you still won't.

I had the same itch you did, to the point a close friend of mine surprised me with a copy.

I played halfway through the new content, felt entirely "been there, done that" uninstalled it and have not looked back.

Also if you do still decide to buy it, make sure you actually buy the whole game and not just Taken King DLC.. or else you'll need to buy Destiny, All the original DLC, on top of Taken King. (UNLESS this has changed)

 
Just purchased an X1 yesterday! It came with Gears of War, but then from the sale I picked up Black Ops 3, Halo 5, Sunset Overdrive, Ori, and Rise of the Tomb Raider. Loving my X1 so far and really loving RotTR. Its been a good start to my week!

Thanks. That's why I was leaning towards the Legendary Edition which includes the base game and all DLCs. I actually enjoyed the mechanics, but I was really playing it more as a single player. I guess that's why I became bored with it. I've just recently gotten back into a more multiplayer feel, so I thought it might be good to give it another shot.

TTK comes with the previous expansions (TDB and HoW) now.

I'm still debating whether or not to pick it up myself. I played the vanilla version over the summer and I'm currently sitting on $75 in store credit.

Any help would be appreciated!  Some context if it matters, I own Sleeping Dogs 360 thanks to GWG, but have yet to play it.  I've beaten the Saints Row 4 campaign on last gen systems, but have not played any DLC.

If you already own Sleeping Dogs on 360 it's not much of an improvement. Great game though. I hadn't played much SR4 when I played it on Xbox One. It was a blast, but the DLC is not worth buying the collection for. Almost all of it is terribly repetitive. The Christmas stuff is dumb fun though.

 
Really been trying to buy something from this past week's sales but I just can't bring myself to buy old 360 games I won't be playing any time soon.

Also it's kind of dumb that if I wanted the DAI DLC it would be cheaper to just buy the GOTY right now.

I cant say anything about Sleeping Dogs but I loved the base game of Saints Row 4 when I played through it on pc at launch. I ended up getting Re-elected on PS4 during a sale. I really just didn't enjoy the DLC and seemed like it was mostly just filler side mission content that wasn't much fun. I really don't think it is worth playing and you could probably get something else that is on sale for the cost that you would probably enjoy more.

I don't think so. I'm using the same logic, I'll get more enjoyment from Taken King and all of that than Blops and it will be a better-than-even trade.

Yeah, I could probably just play the 360 version and be good. The only thing that is pushing me towards a purchase is that I much prefer to game on the One, $10 is a good price, and the DLC is included.

I was actually referring to Gat out of Hell as the DLC for the game. Really did not enjoy Gat at all unfortunately.

Get Sleeping Dogs DE, skip saints row. Sleeping Dogs is really fun and different, may as well play the native xbone version if you are going to play. The Xbone/PS4 port of SR4 is really poor, the textures look terrible, aliasing is non existant or really bad, and the DLCs are all meh so I can't imagine you having a good time if you already played the base game on 360/ps3.

 
Finally pulled the trigger on The Evil Within digital bundle. Been wanting to get that for awhile now but always hesitated. I probably won't play it until Evil Within 3 comes out but fuck it.

I really liked Gat Out of Hell. I might even like it more than the base game, although it is a lot shorter. I prefer the superpowers aspect more than the shooting.

 
Is the Evil Within digital bundle for 24 basically the season pass plus base game? Also is there any reason why I shouldnt be all over that Alien Isolation collection for 10 bones?
