A hexkey works just fine if you got one in the right size. That's how I detached and crammed mine in the box for an exchange.

Oddly enough, my favorite game genre are Actions RPGS, and Action Adventure.. but there haven't been as many this year.

Also, some how I forgot Splatoon.

I have a backlog of thousands, and while I do game.. I feel it's hard to start a new game at times.. or just rip myself away from just lounging on the couch like a loaf.

The Elder Scrolls Online on Xbox one. A friend and I both loved Skyrim so we thought, great, a multiplayer Skyrim. Nope. Beyond, the terrible experience of installing the game which took hours to complete even with the disc copy, logging onto the servers were near impossible. After hours of attempting to log in, I finally got in and started to play. I felt like I had done all my homework on joining the same group and all that so that my friend and I could play together. Alright, we're both in the starting area but can't find each other. After navigating the terrible menus, we finally after even more hours of trying to get put together, finally meet up. My friend accidentally steals something so the guards capture him, he doesn't have enough gold to pay them off so they kill him. He respawns, the guards grab him again and again, he doesn't have the gold so they kill him. I ask him how much he needs and give it to him but by the time he gets caught by the guards the bounty goes up and he can't afford it. Now we've gotten separated and I can't find him. We both say fuck this game and traded it in the next day even though at the time BBY was only offering $35 instead of the then normal $40. If I had waited until a bonus trade in, I would have gotten more but I was just glad to be rid of it. Even beyond the trouble I had, I didn't enjoy the gameplay or story. The last MMO I played was runescape when I was in middle school, it was a better game (and realistically it was a garbage game too). Though, I did use to play PSO with my friends offline on the gamecube when I was in highschool, THAT was a good game. So in summation, fuck ESO.

WWE 2K16. I liked wrestling games in the past, but all. Those. Load. Times. Are. Unbearable. Especially when trying to make your own wrestler. Plus the mechanics felt so imprecise.

Kung Fu Panda. A horrible Smash Bros clone with terrible controls. Played it for 5 minutes and took it off. I'm still cheesed I wasted a free redbox rental on it.

Lifeless Planet was possibly my worst game I played this year. It was so slow even though it took about 10-12 hours to complete. I had hope for this game as well.

Worst game this year for me was Payday 2: Crimewave Edition.

That game was broken at launch for :xb1:, got rid of it a few days after it came out.

LOL - I remember how excited you were about it! I still have my copy, but haven't tried it since launch. Maybe they fixed random matchmaking by now and I'll give it another go. It was great on 360. Really disappointing they released it broken.

I never had any problem with the loading times the game loads pretty quick. I already have well over 100 hours on it and never expreinced this problem. Also, the mechanics in this game are some of the best the series has had in a very long time.

But, I understand that this is your opinion.

I picked it up recently from Gamefly and it seems that they have fixed most of the problems that the game had at launch. A few times here and there it'll randomly drop me from a multiplayer game.

fuck, I forgot about that. Luckily, I had friends to play with but it was impossible to matchmake with randoms to grind out missions for drops. What a shitshow, did they ever fix it?

So many bad games this year for me amongst all the good ones and although it's difficult for me to really narrow down my worst game, I can definatly say my most "disappointing" game this year was Ark: Survival Evolved.

I wanted to like it. I tried to like it. I bought it on steam a few months ago and couldn't understand what all the hype was about so I got a refund. I even gave the game a second chance on the Xbox One preview program and thought it was worse! The graphics are worse than the blurriest PS2 game and the gameplay is about as fun as watching paint dry. It's tedious and annoying. Maybe I'm just getting older (I'm definatly getting older lol) but I think maybe my tastes have just changed. I can see a younger kid or teenager wasting their time deficating and punching trees to build weapons but it's not for me.

My runner up disappointment is MGSV. I've been playing since the first Metal Gear Solid and this is NOT a Metal Gear game. It provides some fun moments and I'll try to beat it some day but I feel like the whole open world idea kills the fun and creativity that the series is known for, like it's a cop-out for not having to put much work into the game beyond a few bases that you visit over and over and over and miles of empty desert.

Ugh, a few of the games inside of Rare Replay just killed me. Slalom and Sabre Wolf immediately came to mind. They just haven't held up after all these years.

Worst game of the year?  Difficult because I tried demos for a bunch where I didn't like it and I'm probably forgetting it was this year that I played it anyway. Therefore, I'm going to mention one that gives me grief just from the title alone.

You think I'm going to say Amy. Well, I'm not.

My choice is Red Johnson. Besides being the worst side effect on Date Night (or any night for that matter), the game has terrible gameplay and mocks you with bad voice acting. It's like you spent the night with Amy and she sent her cousin to "finish the job".

Runner-up would be any point and click game I've tried this year.

P.S.: I'm surprised no one mentioned Goat Simulator.

Edit: I know MCC came out in 2014, but it was finally fixed in 2015. Had so much fun on Big Team this year.

... that fuck 'ing "Steam Monster Summer Sale 2015 Clicker Game" to click on monsters and ... um ... build up points to cause more damage to defeat monsters that did absolutely nothing ... and what did that give us?

  • 4.97 million players
  • 180 million monsters defeated
  • 362 million abilities activated
  • 322 million items used
  • 97 billion mouse buttons "clicked"
... all just to unlock 3 slightly-better ( :whee: ) sale-prices on games each day. :wall:

I'm glad I didn't participate in that nonsense buy at least it was something to look forward to with each day. Now it's just oh look, the same mediocre deals as yesterday.
