I'm sure he has a super successful life and is thoroughly prepared for when his life no longer revolves around achievements.

And I know there is a super small minority of gamers (probably an even smaller percentage than recreational athletes who go pro), but I wouldn't say it's a solid career choice.

Basically the guys you are talking about are famous for spending more time playing video games than anyone else in the world, which is an accomplishment, just maybe not one to be proud of.

Being in the PlayStation side last generation, I really am liking the Xbox one way more then I expected. People say backwards compatibility isn't important, but when I have two of my favorite games Rayman origins and legends (last gen, current gen respectively) all under a unified place, is really nice. Yes I know, lazy not to just go switch to the old console, but the last gen machines have been pushed to their limits with the UI.

Though, playing PS2 games on the PS4 upscaled and antialiased, with trophies is also very nice.

What a wonderful time for me, I didn't game during the GCN, PS2 & Xbox generation and I didn't own a 360. Everything's coming up Milhouse.

I've been fortunate enough to own both the last few generations and I gotta say it's a great time to not be a fanboy

I dislike and love many things about both systems but I would never just pick one

having both is affordable these days if you prioritize and I highly recommend people doing it if they can

For people like me BC is so important. Unless they start making nintendo like hardware that never fails they need to prioritize BC from now on

I was there in '85 playing the NES and atari 2600 with a handful of games and here I am old af with too many systems to hook to the tv and too many games to ever play.

Great time to be a gamer and I appreciate being fortunate enough to be able to experience the growth and changes over the decades and the luxury of having a life where I am able to do 1st world shit like collect and play games

Yeah, he probably should have gone for a real job that it's impossible to get laid off from unexpectedly, like automotive factory worker or oil field engineer.

There are so many careers where layoff aren't a factor. Also are you trying to insinuate that being a professional achievement hunter is a more successful career than an automotive factory worker or oil field engineer?

I can agree and appreciate that it is a unique opportunity that someone would be crazy to turn down, it's just probably not sustainable over a long period. What an awesome job though
 
Hopefully the telltale batman will be good. I normally like the telltale games but I'm not feeling the mischone one.

I Put it up and haven't picked it back up. Episode 3 of that comes out next week so I'll probably just knock that out as that comes out.

I hope the batman does well and maybe translates into other DC characters
And marvel characters

Xmen, Deadpool, spiderman, ghostrider, even fantastic four would probably make pretty cool telltale games.

Other movie franchises I think would work would be star wars, Indianna Jones, or even star trek. They could do some interesting things.

What would you guys like to see?

They could do a ton of cool comic Telltale games. Invincible, Chew, Watchmen. Hellboy would be incredible. They could do an episode for different "cases" that are tied together somehow.

 
Was just watching Jeopardy. This writer Candace Bushnell was the answer to some stupid question, but not a single contestant knew, nobody even answered. Going into the episode she was probably delighted to be a Jeopardy question, but after that I'm sure she was disappointed.

Dam is like the Gears 3 beta map Trenches. Whichever team gains control and the power weapons at first, camps the spawn and annihilates the opposing team. After the beta, Dam will be revised to eliminate spawn camping

Frisky posted in the PSN thread that the Beatles Rock Band DLC packs were being delisted on PSN on 5/5.  Anyone read or heard that this will also be the case on Xbox Live?  I want to buy them, but I have way more credit on my Xbox Live account left over from the Family Dollar Deal than I do on my PSN account, so I would prefer to get it on my 360.  I still remember getting the achievement for beating the game in under 6 hours, and I would return to the game just to play "Michelle."

Cant speak on what you played, but of all the Dam map games I've played not a single one of them had any spawn camping, whether it was my team or the opposing team. True the goal is to run straight ahead to get that Boomshot or the Dropshot weapon, but people always ran around with it...plus you only get 3 rounds of ammo unless you managed to stay alive til the weapon respawned

Can someone explain this! This started last week and it kinda makes me nerves since I don't have the Internet at my home. I can take my xbox to work a few times a month to upload and download games. I can't risk breaking my xbox trying to take it to work with me after each achievement I unlock.[attachment=21601:image.jpeg]

That's definitely weird. You said you take your Bone online a few times a month? So it's not like you're earning thousands of achievements offline between updates then?

When you look at the last achievement you earned offline on your Xbox One, does it show up as "Done! Unlocking..." or something else?
