...and they are using broken English to subtitle their caveman language. Aren't the characters fluent in their native language? I don't like the idea of reading broken English in this game, especially after playing 100+ hours of Far Cry 4.

Will be grabbing Quantum Break day 1 I'm sure, and actually started playing American Nightmare last night on the X1. It looks and runs great, aside from some slowdown during cinematics. Looking forward to the original AW making BC as well
 
I've never used anything but prepaid cards but I'm away from my Xbox 360 and can't resist buying Marvel Ultimate Alliance 1 and 2. Is removing a credit card or unlinking a PayPal account after the purchase straightforward?

I'm confident they'll see another sale soonish but the backlog must be fed.

If I were you, I would just buy a $20 digital code from Microsoftstore.com and be done with it. That way, you don't have to use your card on XBL.

That's pretty cool that you get the PC version as well, especially since if you have a PC only friend you could split the cost and each get the game. Do cloud saves carry over from X1 to PC? I recently got RooTR on PC but had started it on X1, so hoping the save will carry over

Never got a chance to fully play Alan Wake, but the little I played seemed great. Glad they went the Fallout 4 route and giving it away for free with Quantum break even tho the games aren't related.

If you like third person action games or Deadpool, then yeah. It's not the best and is kind of shitty looking, but it is a totally serviceable action game. Domino and Cable are in it too, and they're awesome.

It's not worth $30 at all, though. I'd spend $20 on it, at the absolute most.

 
Trials Fusion finally went on sale.

For PS4. Guess I'll be getting it there, then. Unless someone thinks there's a chance it will go on sale on X1 as well sometime in the next week.

I did recently get $40 in free MS credit so this may be a good option. I'll have to see if a PC gaming buddy of mine would be interested in that code since I will only play the X1 version.
 
Did not know that MUA 2 had a digital re-release let alone with the dlc included.  That was a pleasant surprise for me today.  Dusted off a gold code I had just to purchase it.  I have the gold edition disk for MUA 1, so no need to nab that.  In fact I was playing MUA 1 it not to long ago, running through the game with the overpowered/broken Silver Surfer as my only character, good times. :lol:

Honestly, the Gold Edition is worth $13 before PUR.

It's quite coveted, but I decided the digital version would be better in the long run.

In otter news, they had one Elite controller at my MS store yesterday. I'd never seen one in person. It was glorious. I would've dropped $150 on it right then and there but my wife was with me and I couldn't think of a way to justify it.

I swear to god, I almost bought her a new laptop just so I could say "go ahead and throw that controller in the bag too".


Sigh.

This is what I've been waiting for: true Cross-Buy support between Xbox One and Windows 10.

No more having to decide if I want the Steam version or the Xbox One version. Now - with one purchase - I have a game where I can get both the PC and console versions of a game. I hope Microsoft really pushes this with their Xbox One exclusives. Who knows - maybe years from now it can become a thing with games that aren't even Xbox One console exclusives.

Bonus points for letting me use my Microsoft money.

Question:

Anyone have experience playing game with the Windows 10 service? The Xbox app sitting their on my Windows 10 home computer kinda scares me - too many Game for Windows Live flashbacks....

They regularly go for around $100 over at Amazon Warehouse Deals. That's how I got mine. It's a really nice controller.

 
Great bundle if pre-ordering Quantum Break digitally! I wanted to buy Alan wake with dlc and American Nightmare so since this comes with all that no need for me to wait on price drop for Quantum Break, this will probably be a day one buy for me. I doubt my standard pc would be able to play that game well though so I would end of giving away the pc code or selling it which makes the deal even more sweet.

My buddy bought the $10 ukrainian Rise of the Tomb Raider on Windows 10 and imo its meh. I mean its fine technically, just an icon that shows up and you run like anything else.

However, Windows 10 store games are encrypted and stuff so there is no EXE shortcut, its all hidden away and not accessible afaik. So you can't run fraps for example against it. You can't run shader enhancers. No mods or cheats or anything like that. No INI files to edit. Not even sure if the nvidia tools work against it.

so yeah, not a fan and at this point I'm not sure I will preorder the game. If they announce VR support on PC that would be an insta buy on PC, but at this point I don't know how long the game is (is it an 1886 or Until Dawn?), if there would be any benefit to playing on PC over Xbone, and how low PC keys will sell for. If people will trade away PC keys from their digital purchase for $20 a few weeks after release may as well just wait for that...

If they announce VR support on PC that would be an insta buy on PC, but at this point I don't know how long the game is (is it an 1886 or Until Dawn?), if there would be any benefit to playing on PC over Xbone, and how low PC keys will sell for. If people will trade away PC keys from their digital purchase for $20 a few weeks after release may as well just wait for that...

Thanks for the info.

Being able to run SweetFX and having a Steam Big Picture shortcut icon of a game are two very important aspects of PC gaming for me.

EDIT: reading this thread here about Rise of the Tomb Raider SLI issues does not inspire confidence, either.

Hopefully Microsoft is ironing all this out and taking feedback....but the service isn't without drawbacks, it appears.

I'm amused at how mad people are over the pc version being given. One of the dumbest instances of butthurt I've seen in some time.

This is probably the best news. I bought a Xone for QB and Sunset Overdrive, but seeing the way some games have been running on Xone... I think I'm gonna go with the PC version.

e: Looking at the requirements, yikes. Guess I'm getting that digimal Xone version with the free PC one to replay when I build a new pc in a year or so.
