Uh.. you do know that just because YOU happen to own the games they offer free, doesn't mean the offering itself isn't good. These are AAA games they're offering. And good ones at that. Don't look at it as getting burned because you paid for it. You got to play the game long before it was offered for free so you still benefitted.

My brother said the movie was good (saw it with his kids) but that the game has more glitches than the usual Lego game. Still a good game, but he had a couple issues where he had to repeat areas.

Yea I had some crashing when I played it too. Not the best Lego game out there but if you enjoy Lego games you can $5 worth of enjoyment out of it. I think I paid $15 from a MS store glitch, was worth that. I wouldn't pay more than that for it.

Also still waiting for $5 Lego Jurassic World.

I haven't played the Lego Movie game yet but the Lego Movie movie is superb and well worth watching. I went into it expecting it to suck but its excellent.

So I pulled out and hooked up the 360 which has been set aside while I'm working on redoing that part of the house and then turn on the XB1 to double check that I have the XB1 games and there it is in the Gold section.  Could I really have just bought it from the XB1?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the latest update added the ability to do that. Anything that goes BC is purchasable in the X1 marketplace from my understanding.

I hadn't bought Lords of the Fallen yet, so I at least thank you for making me think to check. Wolf Among Us shows as available to "buy", but I already backlogged the Telltale Collection. Can't remember if I downloaded it, wonder if it would show as purchased if I had done so. Looks like I also backlogged Dead Space for $2.99 in Feb 2015, XB1 SR4 / Gat Out of Hell for $7.50 during the Gold deal in late Feb and Sunset Overdrive during the countdown. Ignoring the different console for SR4, I think this is the first month I've had all 4 GwG games.

S2 has been as low as $8.25, so I except the price will be lower in the future.

It's dropped to 78 on Metacritic, but a lot of reviews in the 90s and 80s. Just some screwed up outliers. fuck Gamespot and Giant Bomb (4/10) especially!

I'm totally still excited for Quantum Break.
 
Quantum will be used within a week at GS since it's only a single player game and the price will plummet soon after and thats when I strike with the 20% coupon in the app. No need to pay anywhere to full retail price for a 11hr game.

 
I won my digital copy if Quantum Break (shoutout to Windows Central! Woot Woot!) but if I hadn't I would have preordered digitally at full price, all the extras like the windows 10 copy and the Alan wake games were huge perks for a game I was already psyched about. That being said, I wouldn't expect too massive of a surge of used copies hitting GameStop because for once a lot of people are going digital on a major release. But hopefully you find one of those sweet looking steelbooks used at GS.
 
I'm actually very thankful QB is a relatively quick campaign. I have at least 10 other games in my backlog that will take 100+ hours to complete so this is OK with me. Besides, you can get nearly double the time if you go for all the achievements, since there's difficulty related achievements as well.

I always wonder why certain games will get almost universal praise and then there are ones like QB that still have a ton of reviews above 85 (26 of them right now) but yet there are a few 40s? I know opinions and all but when I read the reasons for those low scores it is like they played a completely different game. Oh well, I am still going to buy it.

Because on a highly rated game, the shit reviews get a lot of clicks. Same as movies - you always see this outliers on the greatest movies ever - because they know people will read their reviews.
 
Eh, that works both ways too. There are a lot of reviewers happy to slap an 8 on any hyped up new game with good graphics, regardless of whether it's actually any fun.

 
Sometimes those low reviews come from someone who doesn't like the genre or concept to begin with, and probably would have never played it otherwise. Or it's someone who blasts through as fast as possible on a low difficulty and misses the experience that's intended.

Or sometimes it is actually a shit game and the other reviewers missed it.

I'm guilty of this. If I'm on metacritic looking at reviews, I usually click on the shitty reviews to see their justification for the score rather than the good reviews.
