It just sounds like more Borderlands-tier writing, and I feel it got old after the first game. Now ancient memes and jokes that just don't hold up. The only aesthetic angle I feel they have a solid grasp on is their art style.

As far as the gameplay, it feels pretty average. The gunplay mechanics are average, the MOBA aspect is painfully plain, and the story mode felt pretty barebones aside from having a ton of dialogue. I don't really like MOBAs to begin with, and I just don't see why I would pay full price to access one, especially when I doubt Gearbox will follow the normal MOBA content plan and instead to a shitload of paid DLC.

I have no faith in Gearbox any more after the last few years.

Well, considering everyone seemed to think PvZ GW was going to be a $15-20 downloadable game and then they released it at retail for $60...

I'm willing to bet that if Titanfall would've been exclusive to PS4 it would've sold much, much better, with the much larger user base. Now that the sequel is finally coming to PS4, plus XB1, I think it will do well and unfortunately we won't be seeing free dlc. But, we'll see.

Looks like I don't have any Street Fighter games on 360 so I picked those up along with Remember Me.

Glad I'm not the only one who's on the Doom bandwagon. I still need to play Doom 3.

 
Wasn't horribly impressed by Battleborn. Fun, but not Smite fun. I'll wait and see what Overwatch is like before I sink money into two shooters almost at once.

Battleborn might be a good game but it just feels like the player base is going to be extremely small and niche after a few months. I don't want to drop the cash and it ends up being a giant boost-a-thon with guys from TA like Evolve was.

I had that game! I never got very far in it, though, cause like most NES games, it was pretty hard. Not like modern games. #kidsthesedays

It actually wasn't that hard. However, the instruction book never told you to press B on the item menu to access other items (like the X-Ray glasses), making progress impossible if you did not figure that out on your own since we didn't have the Internet back then for guides. I spent the longest time figuring I just wasn't good enough until a friend borrowed it and found it by accident.

On the same note Mega Man was the same way, it didn't tell you that you could use the sub-weapons from bosses by pressing up or down on the menu (it did mention taking their power). Took me forever to get to Wily's stage using the pea shooter and got stuck on the Yellow Demon until I paused one day to go to the bathroom and hit down by accident equipping Fireman's weapon. I thought the color change was a bug until I fired a shot ... :)

Game instructions sucked back then and we had no tutorials, only word of mouth. And none of my friends had Mega Man. The box art was terrible and only showed a single picture of the stage select, so no one thought it would be good.

 
NES games were crazy hard compared to now

Much like lizard/snake catching I have no idea how I was so amazing at it as a kid because I suck at them now

One I could never figure out was jekyll and hyde

 
Damn! I should have bought the Arkham Origins Season Pass when it was on sale.  Finally got the game and I'm loving it.  I wish I would have pulled thre trigger.  Here's hoping for another sale on it in the next couple months.

I bought it I waited a long time for the season pass to go down and was thrilled when it finally did

I've been waiting 72 and a half years for bioshock 2 dlc to drop will probably end up rebuying the trilogy on some sale down the road before the actual dlc drops

You may be right...I was like 6 and had no sense of dedication back then so I'd just play the beginning parts over and over. :)

Fuuuuuuu... NES games?!? Shit. They were simple compared to Atari 2600 games. I spent hundreds of hours in Raiders of the Lost Ark and still didn't solve shit. I found a way to blow a hole in a wall and buy a flute from a salesman. Never figured out shit else.

I have a free Redbox rental for today only and I cannot decide if I should rent Dark Souls III or The Division.  I loved Bloodborne but I want to try DSIII first since I never played a Souls game before but I also just bought a copy of The Division with the GS 50% promo and I want to know if I should really open it up or not.  Both games cannot be done in a day so that is really not an issue.  Maybe I will win a free code for DSIII from Major Nelson this afternoon and it will solve the problem.
