True. It's very easy and short.

I ended up playing through the game on the hardest difficulty (I forget what it's called in this game... maybe just Hard mode?) and compared to Veteran on some of the CoD games, it wasn't too bad. Some of the misc. scoring achievements are difficult considering your AI teammates like to rush ahead and kick ass while you're taking cover, but other than that it wasn't too bad. You can go back through and get the score-based achievements on easy after you've beaten the game if it's an issue getting them on your hard playthrough.

I'm one of the few that played this game for the campaign. I got all of the campaign achievements, then decided to dive into multiplayer finally, and realized it wasn't for me. I'm just not hardcore enough for Battlefield, or any online shooters in general. But Battlefield requires more patience and time than I have to give. I have way too many single player games in my backlog calling my name for me to put up with the same die-respawn-die-respawn crap.

Lococycle? Wasn't that an advertised launch title for :xb1:? Why would they make that BC?

 
Well, I just got done playing Bard's Gold for a couple hours. While the game is really fun and reminds me alot of Rogue Legacy like I was hoping it would, the game is just way too easy. I was expecting rage quit difficulty, but instead I just died a couple times on the first level, learned all the traps and beat the entire game within an hour and a half. All the bosses are unfortunately laughably easy. The game reminds me of a much much better version of Princess.Loot.Pixel.Again, but I doubt anyone here has even heard of, let alone played that game.

So do I regret buying it? No, not at all. It's definitely worth the measly $5 I paid for it and I recommend it to anyone that's into these type of games. Just don't be expecting too much of a challenge.

No new info on this. The scoop was that all of those EA games were going to hit during E3. And that did not happen for some reason. Soon though...

Is it me or does Overwatch get kinda boring, really fast? Tie that in with the ridiculous luck-based achievements and I'm kinda regretting buying it on day one. It feels more like a $20 XBA'ish game than a AAA one.

Considering this one although I was pondering the PS4 version instead of the Xbox One version since it has cross buy with Vita support. What happened to the 100 levels that were mentioned in the developer's blog? Are they that short?

I played it extensively during the week-long beta and felt like I was done with the game. It's a great game, fun, and well made, but I felt like I had done everything already.

A bunch of people on my friends list have the game, and they played it a lot right after buying it. In the past couple of weeks, I haven't seen anyone playing it anymore.

I agree with others say -- it probably has more longevity if you're playing with friends. I was really surprised this was not a F2P title, tbh.

Has to be the most overrated game of the last few years. It's obviously lovingly crafted, but it just feels... empty. I'd turn it on, play one round and then think, "yeah this is cool. Why don't I want to play it more?"

They are kinda short. The playthrough that I beat the game in took about 40 minutes, and I was taking my sweet time. There are 4 different stages and each one has 7 or 8 levels (can't remember exactly) and a boss fight at the end of each stage, so I'm not sure about the 100 levels. Maybe they meant 100 different level layouts or something.

Exactly how I feel right now.

And I love MP games. Battlefield 4, Titanfall, Gears, PvZ GW, etc. Overwatch just feels really empty like you said.

And I'd just like to say Genjii really sucks.
 
Has EA made any of the other BF4 DLCs free since Last Stand? I swear I heard that they were all going to be free leading up to BF1

It's not a game for achievement hunters. I play pretty regularly and still have fun. Only thing I don't like is same as every team game, being last pick and having to grab support/tank.

The fact they priced it $59 on consoles and $39 on pc turned me off right away, being an online only title and a Blizzard title that won't see a discount digitally until forever....

 
When you consider GCU, $48 + $10 Best Buy gift card, I would say Overwatch is worth 10 $5 or $10 poop games we get on sale in this thread.

Yep that's why I boosted a lot those stupid luck based ones early on lol. I play on :ps4: but still the same. I'm glad I did so I can just play for fun and not worry about trying for them. Only one I'm missing is the glitched Lockdown trophy/cheevo then I would have the plat. The funny thing is I unlocked quite a few anyways just playing lol.

I love being support using Mercy but only with a group. Same goes tank with Zarya but I need competent group. Those are my 2 favorite character. Sorry Junkrat, you were fun for the first 2 weeks. If not in a group, I hate that too. I'll gladly do it for a group but hate doing it for dumb randos. The thing I really love is I made so so so many friends playing Overwatch.

Why is the price difference a problem for you? Have you ever checked any other PC game price? They're always cheaper.

I skipped it because noone of my friends were going to buy it, and I already had Doom and Mirror's Edge to play in this period when I'm already full of exams.

Finished Doom yesterday: I LOVED IT. If it was a sp-only game it would be a 9, too bad the mp is not on par with that quality. Don't get me wrong, it's fun in its ways, but it's not as good as many other mp fps we have on X1 (especially Titanfall, Halo 5, Battlefield 4).

 
doom levels almost seem too open, like knowing I need to go back to an earlier part in the level but not sure how to get there, thats just for the collectibles though, the core game is great

 
I'm pretty sure Overwatch is $40 on PC because a lot of the skins and stuff are microtransactions in that version. I believe they also have the $60 version that is the same as the Origins edition we got on the consoles with all the skins included to unlock.
 
I'm in a deep and unhealthy Overwatch addiction at present with over a day of total play time. I'm considering buying it for PC, too, but there's no way my PC can run it. I also can't imagine paying $10 for Halo 5...

I hear people have different tastes. If Overwatch isn't for you, then that's the right answer. There are no wrong answers when it comes to personal preference.

Upgrade the suit so it gives you the collectibles on your map. Then you just need to look for the classic maps.

Easily one of my favorite 1k GS, and not that difficult.

Genji doesn't suck if you really know how to use him. That's all I'm going to say, he's a really good character in the hands of someone who knows how to use him correctly.

I can use Genjii. I've had matches where I went 20-5 with him. I feel like he needs a health buff, his deflection needs to last a couple seconds longer, and his throwing stars need to do a little more damage. Shit, I get more joy running around as Mercy healing everyone.

That's funny because my problem with it is the opposite you have in Doom, Overwatch being a mulitplayer only game I think is priced too high at $59, it's bordering on free to play mechanics with loot boxes, would of been an easier pill to swallow at $39

Well, with GCU 20% off + $10 preorder certificate it's $38 before tax, but neither here nor there.

I occasionally wish I could spend real/MS money on Overwatch currency (to buy skins). They don't support it on Xbox one thankfully, otherwise I would waste real money on silliness and they'd revoke my CAG membership for sure.
 
Wanna trade but I'd rather chance the stealth bumps this weekend...if no bumps I'll trade for the same values they are now anyway cuz I doubt anything would drop that isn't a boomerang

You can buy loot boxes which are even better because you get items for classes you don't play and duplicate items yay

lol. I thought you can only buy loot boxes on the PC version? I will say this for loot boxes for characters you don't use: it got me a legendary skin for Zarya and that encouraged me to start playing her. I'm glad I did. She's a monster :)
 
I redeemed the free $5 code ms emailed me about a week ago for video products. Does anybody know if I can use that $5 for anything even though they want me to use it on videos? It just showed an increase in my account balance when I redeemed it

Already pre-ordered deadlight and mighty no. 9. Pac man is an easy $5 purchase. Belly of the beast looks pretty cool, may pick that up depending on the price.

Heart and slash will be a discount buy later on.

I'm late to the Overwatch talk, but I think it's worth at full price since we know all future characters and maps are free. It's like Splatoon was on launch, really fun with solid mechanics, but a bit light on content.

It sucks that we on consoles were only given the Origins Edition, especially since all the extras beyond the in game skins are for PC only games. (You can actually get the Diablo bonus on consoles without even buying Overwatch). it would have been nice if they would have sold the normal $40 version, even if digitally only.

If you think it's too expensive, obey the CAG law and just wait. Just look at the past month's games. Doom is 5 weeks old, $40 at Best Buy. Battleborn seems to basically be $40 retail now. Mirror's Edge is barely a week old and is already $41 at Gamestop. At $40 I think it's a no-brainer for Overwatch.
