~80 reviews and over 60 of them are 7.5 or higher. But I do think it was a bit of a sleeper hit - critics liked it didn't resonate alongside Doom and Quake the way they were hoping. Also, Prey was in development hell for 11 years, so I think by the time it finally came out, a lot of people had moved on from the trailers and previews they'd heard about for years. Between that and Duke Nukem Forever, it's no wonder 3D Realms went under.

I think it was one of those that reviewed well and the core gamer picked up but really didn't sell very well overall. We'll see if Prey 2 turns out as well since it's going through the same development hell.

Yes.

There are still a couple issues playing Forza Horizon since it became BC / GWG. The server connection for uploading 1000 Club medals can go out from time to time. It was really bad when the game went GWG, and while it's gotten much better, I still had to redo a few medals the last couple days because the server connection was dropped. Rivals doesn't currently work, if you still need the related achievements (like I do). I also had to switch back to the 360 to either buy or use tokens, I don't remember which step had failed.

Of course I haven't done the achievements yet... mainly because I'm not a big racer fan so I only play them when I'm bored, but I never like when a game has unobtainable achievements.

My fault for playing too much Destiny though

Yeah. I know the game was commercially successful, they sold over a million copies within the first three months between 360 and PC. I have a feeling the other issue is the really crowded shooter market, multiplayer is pretty straightforward so it didn't have the same long-lasting appeal that a game like Halo did. If they had been able to get a sequel out within two or three years then it probably could have been a very successful franchise.
 
My console is having issues turning on lately, I think it doesn't like the power fluctuations we've been having. This time it took a good 5 minutes on the green Xbox screen before it loaded. Makes me a little scared.

I traded in the old one for a Slim and it's not staying in instant on for some reason.

 
I wish EA would support further roster updates for NHL Legacy this coming season, and I'd definitely bite.  I have NHL 15 and also traditionally a habit of editing/updating my rosters on my own (as I only buy a new NHL game every 2 or 3 years, so that bridges the gap), but... it gets tiresome and I have less and less free time to do so anymore.  I have no problem with NHL 15's gameplay and would probably plonk down $10 to know I could still get further updated rosters this coming season.  But if I'm going to have to do it myself anyways, I'll just stick with NHL 15 knowing I already added Eichel, McDavid, Larkin, etc, in there myself anyways, so I may as well just add the newer crop to NHL 15 instead.

I think I'm going to start using my Bing Rewards for something other than XBox credit.   Getting harder and harder to find games even worth spending the credit on, and that's sad.

Except it isn't going to be Prey 2. It's going to be a "reimagining " of Prey, which sucks as a fan of the original. And some are questioning why it even is carrying the Prey name.

Resident Evil games went on sale right as I am in that RE mood. I was watching lore videos a couple days ago. That season pass for Rev 2 is mine and maaaybe Code Veronica. Big maybe. Probably depends on next weeks sales.

Patiently waiting for the remakes to go on sale in a similar price range.

Try playing with the help menus until you get the option to call eBay. They agreed that I could get a refund from my written request, but told me I had to return the item. When I called and explained that it was all digital and I had nothing to return, they refunded me on the spot. Worth a try at least. Good luck.

I thought it was so so. Good fun that reminded me of Black & White for a couple of hours, but I never picked it up again. It's been between free and $1 multiple times on the PC and the requirements are very light. I'd play it there if you are interested and have even a potato PC.

On another note: Thanks for the date night post, Bloomy! One small correction: 'Mordheim' is listed in the Rocksmith track pack. It's a great SRPG, but for a second I was like, "fuck! There's a band named 'Mordheim'? Instant Buy!"

a part of the free game selections is to get people to buy the dlc and the sequels/rest of the collection

highly doubt they would give it all away when they want to get ocd collectors like me to buy the rest

also unlikely because it would probably aggravate a lotta subs that don't want wasted months on a franchise they already collected or aren't interested in

 
Wanted to take a moment to point out something Wampler13 had done.

By now I think someone and their family would actually die if a 360 XBLA game were to go on sale that hasn't had a sale before. Still waiting on Half Minute Hero, Scene It, Skullgirls and the first Soul Calibur; but it's been years now and they really just can't stop putting the same things on sale on the 360 side over and over again.

a part of the free game selections is to get people to buy the dlc and the sequels/rest of the collection

highly doubt they would give it all away when they want to get ocd collectors like me to buy the rest

also unlikely because it would probably aggravate a lotta subs that don't want wasted months on a franchise they already collected or aren't interested in

How are the India/Russia games? I haven't gotten to the China one, but I have enjoyed every AC game so far.

 
Mafia 3 is good and everyone that complains is being a whiny little bitch. It's crashed on me 5 times but you know what? I'm a fucking man and crashes just make it that much more challenging!!!

They aren't traditional AC games, but rather 2.5D side scrollers where each section/area has a 3-star rating system based on your performance. That said, still fun!

I have been on the fence with these games. Had it in my cart again last night. I really suck at old school platformer. Is this more of a side scroller then a platformer?

To give an example I almost finished Raymond Legends but couldn't get too far with Guacamelee.

I keep meaning to try China but never get around to it. Maybe I will force myself to take a break from Gears 4 and give it a try to see if I would play them.

Wait, there is an option to put games into a cart? Every time I buy something (either on Xbox.com or my console) it just buys it right away. I would love cart option, like PS4 has.

Am I Xboxing wrong?
