XBL currency redemptions didn't change when the credits to points multiplier was applied. $3 was 290 before, it's 2,900 now (for Gold / Level 2). $5 was 465, now 4,650. Maybe you're comparing the XBL currency costs with the promotion that ended last month where you could get a $5 Windows gift card for 325 points and apply it to your XBL account. Windows gift cards cost the same as XBL credit again. No idea if the cost of XBL Gold changed.

I accidentally bought these back when Fable 3 went free. (Think it was the first GWG.) Somehow, I missed the memo, thought it was all free, and grabbed it all from the in-game menu before realizing what I'd done. Started Traitor's Keep, but I've yet to finish it, of course.

Gold didn't change. Same pricing too. BTW, Gold is the best value on Bing rewards if you can save up the 29,000 points to get the 12 month Gold subscription. It works out to a much better value than anything else you'll spend your points on.

That's true now that the promo is over for the 325 $5 codes. I'm nervous to pool my points for to long because Bing might ban my account again before I save up enough.
 
With Bayonetta being made BC, it got me hoping that the Bayonetta-esque Metal Gear Rising gets put on the list too. Bought it during a sale earlier this year and enjoyed what I played of it but my 360 gets kicked to the curb most of the time.

What do people think of the assassins creed BC game prices? It seems once they hit BC $10 is about as low as I can expect. Do you think they will hit $5-7 by the Christmas sale? I'm a digital only person.

Oh, wow, I did something similar. I was buying the free stuff from the in-game menu and ended up paying for the stupid dog pack. Annoyed me when I saw I was charged a few weeks later.

If you only do the base story it's probably around 6 hours on Heroic. It was originally supposed to be an expansion for 3 so it ended up being shorter than normal, with Firefight and the Halo 3 MP disc to balance out the $60.

There is an audio drama you find similar to the Terminals in other Halo's, 30 of them so that adds a few hours if you try to find them without a guide.

I've wanted this game forever but the fact that it's like $10 and has another $6 of DLC(needed to get %100 of the achievements) that has NEVER gone on sale ever. Maybe the BC will prompt them to try putting it on sale to push the yearly sales past 0 units.

IIRC, I bought Assassin's Creed 1 for $7.50 from one of the sales so it's more expensive this time.

I got the Forza Horizon 3 Warthog code too. In terms of what I've pleated on the X1, Forza 5 GOTY edition, Forza 6(plus Porsche and NASCAR packs) and Halo MCC. I've installed Halo 5 from the disc but haven't started it.

Seems MCC is the common denominator with everyone.

Mine's probably linked from buying any number of Humbles then. Unless you're trying to scam keys to resell I don't think it should be an issue for anyone since if you have Steam you're probably buying Humbles anyway.

 
Downloading Overwatch now, as part of its free weekend.

Exactly how much verbal abuse am I going to get as I try to figure out its class system?

My immediate thought is to play as Support so I can at least kind of contribute to the team cause, but sometimes its the healer that doesn't know what they're doing that gets the most grief.  (MMO example: "Where the hell were you, mage?")

You can play it quite deeply but like all Blizzard games these days it's meant to be super casual on the surface. If you've ever played TF2 or anything even most modern team shooters you'll be fine.

My immediate thought is to play as [font=lucida sans unicode']Support[/font] so I can at least kind of contribute to the team cause, but sometimes its the healer that doesn't know what they're doing that gets the most grief. (MMO example: "Where the hell were you, mage?")

You have nothing to worry about. This ain't Gears Of War where you'll be ripped to shreds in the lobby if you aren't a semi-pro. Like the other guy said, it's deceptively super casual on the surface, but there's more complex levels to the game if you decide to take it more serious.

I'd hold off on playing Medic until you're a little more comfortable and familiar, but any other class you shouldn't get grief of you aren't doing what your class is supposed to.

Also to the guy who asked. The FH3 warthog code came as a message from Xbox on my X1
 
When your new to Overwatch I would suggest a tank class to start off. You won't die in 2 seconds of combat so you get a little bit of time to figure it out.
 
17 years ago today the Dreamcast came out. That was the first system I had saved up my own money to buy the day it came out. Although a lack of 3rd party support and the inclusion of a DVD drive in the PS2 ultimately doomed the Dreamcast I have super fond memories of it and occasionally take mine out to play

Bayonetta did shoot up in price when she was announced for Smash Bros, I don't know if that applied to the 360 version though. Nintendo ended up doing a second print run of the Bayo 2 without the bonus Bayo 1 disc because of it.
