I own Dead Rising 3 on disc and rebought it just to have it digital. Same for State Of Decay, bought it for $6 at Target clearanced but picked it up digital. Looks like it's trades in for $11 at Gamestop, so not bad.

For something like Resident Evil 4, if you had it for Gamecube / PS2 / Wii, 3D'ed it last gen, then bought it digitally again this gen, you'll have to get a table.

but this could be said about a chunk of games for me

and the weird thing is that games I actually have played and love and would love to buy multiple times like far cry 3 or luigi's mansion for example never get remade/remastered

what gives?

 
Debating on that DR3 sale. I have the OG disc version without the DLC but it would be fun to gameshare with my cousin and play together. Plus there's the DLC.. but something tells me this game will either hit GWG in December since it's a launch title or it'll be free with DR4 which I plan to get. Smart move might be to just wait.

 
Time to buy REmake on Xbox 360. I also own it on Gamecube, PS3, and PS4.

And I too have not played RE4 yet. I still need to finish Code Veronica.

I rarely game yet spend a lot of time and even more money on a collection that is of epic size

that went for dvds and almost all console gaming

I have a disease obviously

I think it's called spoiled first worldia or something like that

 
I had about a 4 year stretch where all I played was Diablo 2 and Counter-Strike. I missed a lot of games during that time. No regrets. Those 2 games are still awesome.

General consensus is they are more action-orientated vs horror compared to previous RE games. Single player is okay to good playing solo with the experience better with a co-op partner.

Me personally, RE5 was a bore and strayed far off the RE path. Now RE6.....that was a horrible game, even with a partner. Campaign lasted far too long(30+ hrs) and you can't have the story dialed up to 11 the entire time. It was like a Michael Bay film with explosions and non-stop action for waaaaay too long. Can you even imagine a 30 hour Michael Bay film? Yeah, that's RE6. But it's made by a team of over 300 at Capcom with the thinking, "yo, this is what Westerners like right? Explosions and constant shooting of monsters every few seconds." Ugh

I've got it on Gamecube, Wii, 360 and Steam. I'm sure I will eventually get it for Xbone, which makes 5 (out of 8 possible platforms).

I think I've owned RE4 on only 3 consoles.. maybe 4. Only played through it once, on Wii, but it was glorious. I actually started it up on PS3/4 but didn't make it too far. After playing the Wii version, it's hard to play with traditional controls (can't say that about any other Wii Game, like ever)
 
weird thing is I hardly ever play games and it costs me massive amounts of money

I've played with myself for 20 years and it's never cost me a dime

I went from disc to digital and believe it downloaded a small update (390mb I think) then just downloaded the add-ons.

fuck Aliens, Resident Evil 4 is a pretty pivotal game in gaming history, hell let alone in the horror genre.

Like Gears of War? That was highly influenced off of RE4 and its pacing. Have the game on Xbox 360 and PC. :twoguns: that PC port though.

I should pick it up on the WIi for the motion control scheme but I'm knee deep in games for now.

ha I remember playing re4 mercenaries and thinking this would be an amazing multiplayer shooter with a few tweaks.

I don't mind the whole horror vs action thing because I'm a chicken when it comes to horror games (I think the "scariest" game I ever played was Alan Wake).

RE6 sounds like a chore then. Oh well, seems like another week I won't be picking anything up.

This is also, what, the fifth time RE4 has been released? That excuse is given every time the game gets rereleased. It's a good game, I've played through it twice since its original release on GC, and I think I'm done with it now and most probably feel the same way except for the hoarders. Just because it's influential doesn't mean we need to own it for every device we have including our toasters, especially when the 360 version has been $5 several times and easily could have been made BC.

If you have any appreciation for the Alien movie franchise at all, get Alien Isolation. It's the game us fans need and deserve, and it's still a fairly original survival horror game even if you're not a fan of the movies. It has its issues, but none that would hinder it from being considered a AAA game by any means. I think the top complaint with the game was, what, that it was too long? You get too much game for your money, how terrible!

- Evolve will NOT being going Free to Play on consoles. Turtle Rock is not involved with the game anymore.

- Word on the street is that there are only 3 multiplayer achievements for Titanfall 2. The rest are single player related. List should pop up asap.

Really? Color me interested. Still not buying the game until January or February as I didn't like either beta.

In unrelated Titanfall 2 news......the end of Act IV in Gears 4 can go and die in a fire :twoguns:

I liked getting the 2000/2000 on 360 but I couldn't on X1 because a few modes were dead, sadly. I may jump back in to prepare for Titanfall 2 though, maybe I will score a few more achievements there.
