Thanks. I just decided to start the game and give it a go. Friend said some, if not all, of the DLC should show up in the radio at the beginning of the game. It didn't show up in the "downloadable content" menu so I started the game and got nothing. Can't decide if I want to buy it digital at $30 (30% off regular) or deal with the disc and only pay $13.

 
I am tempted by Titanfall 2 but at this rate I feel like by March it will easily be had for $20 or less and with so many games as is I should just wait. Though I did just buy Witcher 3 on X1 when I already own it and the season pass on my ps4 since launch haha

I was always behind in Destiny (job, wife, kids) and so the clan I had would never really care to play with me, so it was mainly a solo endeavor. Kind of frustrating to be honest. Alone, that game is 7/10, but with friends it is an easy 9.

I really would like Titanfall 2. Enjoyed the first, but had nobody who played it, so I eventually just sold it back for pittance. I just got a new phone though and am probably only going to be able to get one game, which may be Witcher 3. Is there a group of CaG who get together and play? I've mainly just hung around the Humble thread.

If I activate my Gold trial, will I qualify for any discounts (like PS+ does for PSN purchases), or does it not matter if I sign-up for Gold before buying? Thanks.

There is indeed a video, (and references throughout the game), of The Witcher 2. You aren't really at a disadvantage if you go straight to The Witcher 3. For $25 for the GOTY edition, this game is such a steal.

From what I remember/understand, you get discounts with your gold trial, but not games for gold games.

I think they upped it to a 30 day minimum to qualify but don't quote me on that.

For the actual discounts, (best that I've seen Microsoft give yet), you're getting, just get a gold card. I'm sure someone here can point you in the right direction for a deal on them.

I won The Witcher 2 CE in a contest and played a few hours of it. I never went back, just couldn't get into the combat but yeah I went right into The Witcher 3 and just like the Mass Effect series, I'd say you should play the previous one to get the full experience but you can definitely just start from the most current one. Annnnd I'm playing Titanfall 2 now and haven't played The Witcher 3 in like months...

Grabbed Inside with bing credits I had for a total of... $5.36. Not too shabby.

It took me a second to understand what you meant by dashboard...

I turned on my Xbox One and saw an offer for a free month of Gold. Signed up, downloaded the Games with Gold and I see the BF sale prices. Thanks!

EDIT: Oh wait, just found out that Quantum Break comes with Alan Wake. I'll just wait to get a copy of that then instead of buying Alan Wake in this sale.

Pretty sure you have to be a silver member for it to show up. Should be on the main page in one of the ad tiles. Try refreshing, (press left trigger, right trigger, and the Y button together), and see if it appears.

I was planning on stocking up on xbox gift cards, like with the newegg $90 for $100 xbox credit deal, and then hopefully I get the xbox rewards points too. There are so many good games on sale on xbl for Black Friday, and I like having digital copies of games.

Eh, they got Mass Effect 2+3 to be released on the vault and those are multi disc. I'm sure they can figure it out with some work. It's on top of Phil Spencer's list to get every first party game BC as well as having multi disc games available for purchase.

The fact that the shirt was there to "entitle" you to a free copy means they are working on it.

But yeah if no hints for GWG in November the dream is dead.

I noticed the bundle before it went on sale, but not that it contained the deluxe editions. The last few sales that had a bundle the final price was pretty close and I needed to check with my bro about BF1. Oh well, IIRC it's just cosmetic junk.

I already own Rare Replay on Xbox One, and no, it doesn't unlock the included 360 titles on your Xbox 360. I also uninstalled Replay because it ate up a lot of space. 70+ gbs if I remember correctly. Hence, why I'm buying Nuts and Bolts.

Rare Replay does not take 70+Gb.The base game takes like 13GB. If you install every X360 title that's when it starts adding up.

Yeah, I mostly played Destiny either by myself or randoms (via LFG). Didn't do many raids for several reasons (long & frustrating).

I play Titanfall 2 almost nightly anywhere between 6 PM - 10 PM EST, depending on what else is going on (usually for 1-2 hours). Sometimes we have a gamenight for CAGs on Friday evenings, though that's usually after 9:30 PM EST and could last until the wee hours of Saturday (it's always a great time if I can stay awake). With 2XP in Infinite Warfare, 4XP in Battlefront, and Forzathon, not sure what's on tap for tonight.

Eh, they got Mass Effect 2+3 to be released on the vault and those are multi disc. I'm sure they can figure it out with some work. It's on top of Phil Spencer's list to get every first party game BC as well as having multi disc games available for purchase.

The fact that the shirt was there to "entitle" you to a free copy means they are working on it.

But yeah if no hints for GWG in November the dream is dead.

Putting them in the vault is different. The vault is an Xbox One only thing.

Were you at the launch party too? Crowd was pretty shit for the live matches. My gf was thrilled she got to meet Alexa Bliss. We're not doing 6 hours in the stadium though, party at a friend's house after WCPW that day.

Relevance: Attack Cats is (sadly not a game, but a World of Tanks add-on).

Yea I didnt mess with that stuff, I was only concerned in getting in the ticket sales line and getting out.

 
Quantum Break is $40 on Windows Store, appears to be cross-play when purchased. Still not cheap enough for a one-playthrough game.

Sorry, got a bunch of questions to toss out there at this point, mostly opinions.

What are the odds Read Dead Redemption or Watch Dogs (both for 360) are a part of Games With Gold sometime soon-ish?  I always try to keep that in mind with these titles, and RDR in particular I've always felt was primed to be a GWG title, but then they hyped it being BC and I don't know if that increases or decreases its chances at this point (as I would have expected it to be GWG when it became BC).  And I know WatchDogs 1 got a lot of pub at launch, then fizzled and disappeared because of problems.  I don't know with WatchDogs 2 out if releasing 1 as GWG makes any sense or not.  I always wanted to give it a whirl, and $5 seems cheap.

Also, I'm not really an RPGer, but has Oblivion held up ok or no?  I have not played an Elder Scrolls title since Daggerfall (even with all the "OMG SKYRIM!" going on).  I might consider it for $5, to fool around with like I used to Daggerfall.

And there are more games still coming, right?

probably will be awhile before RDR becomes GWG. WD1 was fun $5 is a great price for it r

RDR is all conjecture at this point (I don't believe it will, as they raised the price when it came BC) but I can make a comment on Oblivion. It depends on what you'd like in an RPG. Oblivion has the massive open world, but it streamlined a lot of the RPG elements (IMO) unfortunately. The RPG shift is almost akin to Mass Effect to Mass Effect 2: they're still there, but it isn't quite the same. Morrowind has the much more significant RPG portions of allocating skills, etc. I was so into Morrowind that I didn't care for Oblivion, but I know I'm in the minority. It's a big open world RPG with more quests and explorations than you can fill, as well as the awful voice acting you'd expect.

If you're looking for an X1 RPG, Skyrim remastered will be on sale on Black Friday, so you can try to wait for that if you'd like.

Hmm, I scooped up BF1 & TItanfall 2 physical w/ Gears 4 on Target's B2G1, and the latter two are still in the wrapper. Seriously considering that BF1 & TF2 digital bundle and flipping the physical.

 
I was planning to get TF2 Deluxe, but have just a passing interest in BF1. This bundle is tempting though, and would be another $27 bucks for BF1 deluxe. 

Decisions, decisions.
