Have you played any of it yet? I've played a lot of the main game and some of bozacks horde. BH is an interesting challenge mode if you have at least one person to play it with. I really like the main game. Haven't touched the following yet.

I decided to get it digitally today since I still have a lot to play and like getting rid of my physical games. It sells for $25-$30 on eBay it looks like, so I can get the money back.

It may be chinese miners-like news, but I just found out the Ultimate Edition of FH3 doesn't even include the future expansion... I'd have to spend 105€ for everything. I love the game but no way I'd spend that money.

 
I'm just hoping the weird assortment on titles on sale on 360 hint at the older SEGA All Stars Racing being added to BC this week.

Manhattan Project is BC, so I'll probably grab that. Already have Sonic & Knuckles which is BC. Fireburst and Hunter's Trophy 2 are $2 each, which isn't terrible but it'd be nice if they went BC as well.

Ryo is a $4 DLC, afaik. And it's the one DLC that's not on sale. :wall:

Ryo is also available as a DLC character in Transformed (without the fork lift), but only on the Steam version.

Gears 4 is 34.99 Digital and Forza Horizon 3 is 39.99 on Best Buy also, seems like they are matching Xbox Digital prices so I expect Recore to be $20 on Thursday night on Xbox. I will wait cuz I have Xbox currency to spend.

I grabbed that Gears 4 and Forza Horizon 3 deals on Best Buy for $24 and $32 with GCU for physical. I was thinking of going digital on those but for this price I will go Physical for now and maybe go digital in a few years when they are dirt cheap.

I think it is. I payed almost full price because a friend recommended it and I had a blast. It is slightly more fun with 2 players but is still solid playing through it solo. Being out at night trying to survive was one of the most intense things I've experienced in the Xbox One era.

Sonic Racing obviously isn't as good as Transformed (best kart racer ever imo), but it's still good. It has some enjoyable tracks, and Banjo-Kazooie as a racer. I sold my disc copy when Transformed came out but I'd gladly get it again, if it were $5 cheaper and guaranteed BC at some point, even with Transformed already being BC.

TIL that "illusive" is an actual word, and that it actually means something in relation to "elusive". From what I can tell from the tried and true in-depth scientific research method called "7 seconds on Google", "illusive" means deceptive or misleading, or that something you assumed was there was never there in the first place.

So maybe King's Quest is a lie, along with the cake, in which case blinknot was right all along !!!!

I assume you didn't try the campaign when the beta was out.... I did not enjoy it. Couldn't figure out where to go or the next thing that we were supposed to do. You'd get to a door blocked with some force field that won't let you pass, but apparently you had to go down some corridor and clear out some adds before that door opens. WTF -- how was I supposed to know that?!?!

Sad even at $10 I think I am passing. Loved Borderlands 1 back in the day and BL2 even now. TPS was meh. Wanted to like this game but many the alpha/beta was pretty bad.

50/50 on The Division. Just not sure I would ever get around to playing it. Maybe.

Probably going to trade TF2 today to GS and rebuy it digitally. $40.20 with bonus and $5 coupon I got on PUR day. Might pick up FH3 even though I hate driving games typically. But Staples has $50 credit for $40 so.

Was thinking of also trading The Witcher 3 and upgrading to the complete edition but well I almost never get to half the dlc so not sure it is worth $12+ to me.

Also probably going to get Dying Light at GS on BF if any of them have it still in the afternoon. I will probably drive by at least 3 of them if I go out.

Way too many good deals this year. I also bought several games off PSN and Rise of Tomb Raider for PS4 on disc.

BE CAREFUL! The complete edition does NOT work with a save file from a vanilla copy of The Witcher 3. Complete edition and vanilla are treated as completely separate games for some dumb reason. I had completed a ton of stuff in vanilla, traded in disc to wait for complete edition, but then they announced that the save files are not compatible so I said fuck it. There's no way I'm rebuying vanilla and then buying DLCs, and there's no way I'm buying complete edition and replaying hundreds of hours.

Thanks for the heads up. I bought it for about $13 or so when it was on sale at BB and haven't taken it out of the wrapper yet.

Not sure it is a game I would be into but for that cheap I was willing to try it.

They have to patch that. That's just inexcusable.

As for Division, it's a steal at $10. I've only played sparingly since the incursion was released, but I've read they fixed a lot of things.

I'm on the fence with FH3. I bought the deluxe for FH2 and never finished it haha

There is nothing to patch, the games have two different game IDs on purpose. Shadow of Mordor and the Arkham games did the same thing with their vanilla and GOTY versions. It's just the way some developers do it to entice us achievement hunters to double dip on their game.

 
Man, I almost just impulse bought Fireburst... Racing game for $2, how bad could it be? Read some impressions and apparently it's pretty dang bad.

NBA Jam: On Fire Edition is pretty fantastic.  If for some reason you don't own it, and have any fond memories of NBA Jam at any point in your past, go buy it.  All the unlockables (an NBA Jam staple) are fantastic.  I just spent a game playing as the Toronto Raptor and an alien against the actual Toronto Raptors and I thought my 4 year-old daughter was going to explode with delight watching me play as them.  Just ridiculous, over-the-top fun.

And if unlockable ridiculous characters aren't your thing, unlocking legends like Pippen, Shaq, Bird, Magic, etc maybe is.  When I'm trying to advance in single-player I usually play as the Celtics as Bird/Garnett and just toss up shots all over the court as Bird (kinda' like Curry in real life), and try to make the CPU outshoot me.  Another fun combo is Dwight Howard/Shaq on the Magic, and just block ALL the shots.

I've sunk so many hours into the game, way WAY more than I ever thought I would.

I own this game, but I've never tried it. You've convinced me that I should. I have many fond memories of that franchise: playing the Super NES version at home when I was a kid, a friend of mine setting the cabinet's switch to free play at a local arcade so we didn't have to pay and the operator replacing it with Mortal Kombat, my college roommate whupping my ass on the Genesis version of Tournament Edition, and the mind-blowing NBA Showtime: NBA on NBC game on Dreamcast. Ironically, I hate watching basketball on TV, but I love NBA Jam.

Enjoy! I can't believe how addicted I am to that game. I never like MP FPS games but every night I'm there collecting bounties and attritioning (?). All on top of a stellar campaign I will no doubt play multiple times now that I own a non-tradeable digital version.

 
Wow - awesome news. (Only reason I bought a Wii U at launch. Never finished, kick ass open world game though!)

It's the best NBA Jam ever made, period. The feel and flow is a lot better than the older versions, including the original modern reboot. Games are so short you can quickly blow through 3 or 4. And as you get past the Bronze into the Silver and Gold levels of teams to play against you really need to start learning to Shove more and to use your Crossover Dribble to give yourself an extra split second of time to get a shot or pass off. I completed all the Gold and am at the next tier (Platinum I think). At the Gold and Platinum stages you get the insane CPU you used to in the older versions (where if it comes down to a last second buzzer-beater shot, you know the CPU is going to make it and beat you), so there is a bit of grinding to get past some of the tougher teams/matchups. But if you've unlocked say enough legends, you should be able to come up with a combo that beat about any team.

And once you've gotten good at it, it's still fun to mess around on the Bronze (lowest) levels on, goofing around with alley-oops and stuff. And the lower levels still give you a little bit of points towards unlockables, no matter how many times you beat them.

I only wish rosters were updated enough to where you could play Curry and Klay or Curry and Durant together for the Warriors (or Draymond even), or James back on the Cavs (cause I wanna' see him play with Mark Price). But ultimately, there are enough unlockables that you can get whatever combo of 2 players you want for just about any team you'd care to. The game's not supposed to be real anyways.

 
Ya know that guy who tweeted about the Cubs/Indians Game 7 like a year in advance. I wanna try to do something like that...

On November 22, Major Nelson will announce that Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is now backward compatible. He will also include two games that nobody cares about, specifically Operation Darkness and Men In Black: Alien Crisis.
