This may be the most apathetic I have been for a Black Friday ever.  After getting Gears 4 for $24, Forza Horizon 3 for $32, Dark Souls III for $20 and The Division for $10 earlier in the week it just does not seem worth it going to a store. Drove by my Target on the way home tonight and it was not that crowded but I still could bring myself to look if AC: Syndicate was available.  I think some of it is I am kind of obsessed with Warframe right now. I have like 250 hours in and I still find the grind fun.

 
What do people think of the price of MK XL? It seems warner tends to drop prices on games soon after sales. Do you think this game will be much cheaper in the next 6 months or so. Thanks

So, lots of good reviews on Doom, but what's the verdict on the season pass? I enjoyed playing the beta online, but from what I've read, not a lot of other people dig it, so I'm afraid of not finding games with the DLC if I get it. That season pass is CoD pricing. Crazy. I also don't see the season pass going on sale by itself again any time soon, so I feel like getting it with the game in the deluxe bundle is the way to go.... at 50 effing dollars.

I may be in the minority here but I have Rise of the Tomb Raider for the 360.  Is the season pass worth it? Not sure it has all the stuff the X1 season pass has or the 20th anniversary stuff.

Do you not have an X1? If I only had a 360 I would put any money I wanted to spend on games aside until I had enough money for an X1.
 
oh and while I'm whining about prices put dying light enhanced at 20 and for the love of lori loughlin one of these systems put RE zero and RE revelations 2 at a trigger price for once

Season Pass is entirely MP stuff and each DLC pack includes even less content than a CoD expansion.

There's going to be 3 packs total. Each pack includes 1 playable demon, 3 maps, 1 weapon, 1 "device" and some armour sets/taunts/hack modules/etc.

So for 40 dollarydoos you get:

9 maps

3 playable demons

3 weapons

3 "devices"

X amount of cosmetic stuff

Doesn't seem like a whole lot, does it?

Not to mention that everyone I know has said the MP is garbage/relatively dead, and based on the MP beta I played, I'm inclined to believe them.

I think its better than the reviews and there was an update that fixed some of the problems (think there were really long loading times?).

It's not an amazing game but fun enough. Also think the digital download is still $15 on the Microsoft store (really don't understand why XBL didn't match this).
 
Is Doom any good on the XBone? I've heard people rave about the PC version, but is the performance of the console version sufficient to provide an enjoyable experience?

If I actually play everything in the backlog and not buy anything else in good till probably Julyish. I have 125 on the x1 I haven't played yet. I could knock out a backlog pretty quick if I could quit playing multiplayer games. My son and I play halo every night. I try to get as much achievements that I can get but it doesn't rule my gaming. I'm fine blowing through a game and moving on. I get what I get and don't let 100%ing get me. I know so many people who will keep grinding on a game for weeks just to get achievements. I'd rather use that time and bust out another game.

I booted it and played for 20 so I could answer this (and try the game I paid $15 for). Outside of an agonizingly long initial load to get into the game, I think he platforming shooting are pretty cool. Lots of auto-aim but you quickly realize it's so you can target enemy cores and time your robots ultimate moves.

I'm happy with my purchase.

Thanks for the link, but Major Nelson's lists are so useless. 50% off of what?!?! It's 2016. The website should be able to detect what region we're in (US, Canada, etc.) and list the actual prices accordingly. I'm supposed to look through a list and automatically know 40% off is a great deal?!?! I removed his bookmark a long time ago. There was a deal where if you preorder the game you get $15 in rewards, essentially making the game $5. Pretty sweet.

Well color me impressed. I thought the sale was awesome overall. The only thing I didn't see that I was hoping for (due to Walmart having it as a deal) was a sale on farming simulator 17.

Oh yeah add Dangerous Golf to my list, really fun game and I can confirm load times are fixed.

Of all the games I got though I feel most compelled to give a shout out to Valley. Fantastic game IMO. Surprisingly satisfying movement and platforming and just a relaxing game to play.
 
I went ahead and got the ReCore code from Microsoft and redeemed it through Smart glass not thinking it would queue it up to start downloading. I had disabled auto download on my XB1s but I traded one in Tuesday to get an S model and I don't think I changed the specific settings after I picked instant-on. I drove 7 hours to Pittsburgh yesterday and my data cap is getting close for the month. I'm guessing there is no way to stop it if in fact it's downloading? My gut says no way but if it can start that easily I figured it wouldn't hurt to make sure that it's impossible to stop remotely.
 
Yeah....I'm over that bastard data cap. Guess I'm paying extra next month. That's what happens when you download 7 games in a 3 night span. Damn sales.
 
Just bought Skyrim SE digital, was the only game I was really hoping for a decent sale on, still was five bucks more than I wanted to spend on it...but oh well.

Skyrim SE

Any games $5 and under I should take a chance on?
