I would agree the QB is more a game to own physically rather than digital. I really like the game, and story a lot but it's not something wanna play again really. I got it from CDKey's at launch for like $48 and sold off the W10 version for like $25 to soften the blow.
 
I'd highly suggest renting it tbh. It's a super fast completion, like 6-8 hours. Definitely wouldn't pay $30 for it. It's a good looking game with fun combat mechanics and an interesting story but it's 100% a rental.
 
Question. I just upgraded to a new external with more storage than my last external. Is there an easier way to move my games to my new external without having to move them little by little to my internal, then plug in the new external, and move them there? AFAIK the Xbox One only detects one external drive. I think if I were to plug my external with games into my PC, it'll detect it as a bunch of gibberish files, would I be able to move everything to my PC from my old external, and then onto my new one that way?

Use this app if you want to do that, Xbox One External Storage Device Converter 1.1. I used it once around 6 months ago, allowed me to dump some stuff to my NAS for a while, then move back.

Though the Xbox One does support multiple external drives. At one point I had two 2TB hooked up, though you have to go into each game and select the move all option of the game one at a time.

If anyone is trying for the staples 20% off Xbox gift cards at the 281/1604 staples in San Antonio don't bother. I only found Microsoft store cards, tried those and it didn't work. Of course no one in the store knew about the deal and they said those were the only gift cards they had. The MS Store cards were next to the PSN so I guess they might have stocked the wrong type.

I'm too weak to pull the trigger on the Resident Evil 3 pack, Dragon Age GOTY and Ori...I really want to but I'm using my brain and know they'll be cheaper by the time I play them.

I'm pretty sure it can read two HDD at the same time

Ori is great, I don't even like platformers but I loved Ori. For $10, people should definitely consider it.

Dany is correct. Just plug the second drive into your Xbox One and move the stuff directly over.

I did that when I got a 4TB to replace my 2TB.

 
How many HDD's can be on a Xbox One? I read on reddit that you could have 3, so I just bought a third. I hope that's the case...

It has 3 usb 3.0 ports, and I couldn't find anyone talking about using a usb hub to expand to more than 3 drives. Not sure if that would work or not.

Some people claim to have issues using a hub. I have a 4tb and a 2tb hooked up directly and have no issues. Except for lack of space again already...

 
Traded in some stuff to Gamestop and got way more than I expected. I was going to get cash and pay the remaining cash to get $50 XBL for $40 at Staples, but I ended up with $45 alone so I just turned that into XBL money.

So! Help me decide what to get. I definitely want The Evil Within, but is the DLC worth an extra $6, or is the base game alone good?

Same question for Arkham Knight, $16 for everything sounds great, but I heard the DLC wasn't very good. Still, that's a lot of skins and random extras for the money. $10 for the base game is a more attractive price for sure.

I hear Ori is a Metroid style platformer, is it a must-have for a die-hard Metroidvania fan like myself?

Also considering Wolfenstein New Order and the Metro/Saints Row bundle, but now that all these other games I want are part of the sale and I'm strictly limiting myself to the $45 I got, I'm still undecided.

With the amount of DLC you will get, $6 is definitely worth it. You can't beat $6 for an entire game's DLC.

I haven't played Arkham Knight, but I would say if the DLC is mostly skins and doesn't give many more achievements you can earn (which is what I think about when I buy DLC), then I personally would pass on it.

Ori & the Blind Forest has great reviews, and looks absolutely beautiful. I'm surprised that you don't already have it.

I've owned my X1S for less than a month, I don't already have most games :) This XBL sale was great timing (I actually feel bad for people who aren't getting one til Xmas and missed out...).

Regarding TEW's DLC, it's definitely a good value, I was more wondering is the DLC any good / worth playing.

Arkham Knight includes 2-3 story based DLCs but internet says only one of them is really worth it. Normally I prefer to get a GOTY on disc but oddly enough there's only a digital version of a complete copy of Arkham Knight.

I beat RotTR on 360 a few months ago and loved it. I would have jumped on the season pass for $6, but I flipped it as soon as I beat it.

I hear Ori is a Metroid style platformer, is it a must-have for a die-hard Metroidvania fan like myself?

Also considering Wolfenstein New Order and the Metro/Saints Row bundle, but now that all these other games I want are part of the sale and I'm strictly limiting myself to the $45 I got, I'm still undecided.

Ori is great, get that one for sure. I have AK and I don't feel like I've missed anything by not getting the season pass. It's a lot of game for $10 and a little bit more game for $6 extra.

Good point. For 60% of the cost of the base game, you can get... a very minor additional amount of content? You convinced me.

 
Anyone play Elder Scrolls Online and know if it's worth getting the 5500 crowns for the DLC? I enjoyed the game, but haven't played it in about a year.

How is Need for Speed and is the Deluxe Edition worth it or is the regular version good enough?

The DLC for Batman most definitely has achievements. SP for RotTR is a must at that price as well as owning Ori, very good game!

I had my Xbox over at my Aunt & Uncle's house grabbing all my games I had picked up and the ones I had in my Ready to Install list. I was just curious, before I disconnected it and we drove back to the country farm house, and looked up how much I used. I had asked my folks while I drove them back home how much do you think the Xbox used over a series of 3 days and my father said hmm 20 GBs? ... try 313 - while downloading and playing games connected to Live - .!!! :oldman:

Now with leftover turkey sandwiches in my belly, Rangers hockey on now, I'll be playing Skyrim Remastered up until I go to bed tonight with a big smile! Can you bring your old save over via the cloud?

I'm still buying Mass Effect Andromeda though.

Newegg has $10 off $100, I think you need a promo code I'm too lazy to look for.

Staples has $10 off $50, in store and unadvertised. You can stack cards in $50 increments to keep the discount rolling.

I can't speak to some of the other stuff you asked about. I bought Batman because it looked like a hell of a deal, but haven't played it yet. Same with Evil Within.

Wolfenstein:The New Order may be the best game I've played yet on my X1. I just tossed it in because I had an old, cheap disc copy from Target back when it was like $9 on clearance and ended up absolutely loving the game. Incredibly good game. For $6.60, you cannot turn down that experience. It truly is phenomenal.

That's quite the endorsement on Wolfenstein, you might have convinced me. Sub-$10 is hard to say no to.

 
fuck... I am so done with spending. I swear, I have enough to play for the next 2 years. That Staples deal helped a lot. It also helped that I sold all the physical games I bought for cheap over the year and never played to finance just about everything I bought. I flipped Overwatch and Titanfall 2 from the DOTD at BB and made more than the digital versions cost, so I just upgraded them right off. 

I also ended up selling the Skullcandy RAZR headphones that I got free from Best Buy and year ago for $50, which got me more Staples XBL credit.

I don't know why anyone would have been upset with the deals this year. The prices have been great in the Xbox store and in stores for physical. All of the Staples discount credit has just been icing on the cake. 

I think, when it's all aid and done, I'll have bought 3 physical games (FC:primal, Overwatch and Dishonored 2) and gotten a ton of digital games (upgraded from physical or new).

Also, the SP for Battlefront Ultimate is, indeed, a code, so I redeemed that already and will sell the disc from by $20 BB copy that just came in UPS.

Destiny is a timesink but if you have friends to play it with then it's a lot of fun. I played it almost daily for the first year it was out w/ my best friend, and if I wasn't in a really intense graduate program I'd probably rebuy it on X1.

Bioshock has $20 written all over it eventually, $10 per game at $30 more than $10 per game at $40 is still more than I'd like to pay.

Minecraft: Story Mode - Adventure Pass (Additional Episodes 6-8) for Xbox 360. Is it like Pinball FX 2 where if you buy the episodes on 360 they're also good for One or just only a deal on the 360?

Found an used copy of Pure for 5€ at Gamestop and since it was a bundle copy it also included a second disc with Lego Batman which is BC :D

Tomorrow I'll go preorder Mass Effect for a grand total of about 30€ and that's it for my black friday.

Also debating ROTR SP in case I ever find a cheap disc and want to go back. I wasn't enjoying it that much but people keep telling me the DLC is great

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think any XB1 game has hit the vault came with all the DLC included. At most, I could see a single DLC piece for the purpose of tempting you to buy the rest. I've yet to redeem my SP code for the game though. Maybe I'll hold out a couple weeks until it hits Access to confirm.

I have been waiting on season pass sales. Now, I need AC Syndicate SP to go cheaper than buying the gold edition, since I already own the game. Very nice.

I've seen ROTR for ~$15 many times. I bought mine for $30 during 1st week of release. It's been over 1 year & I've still not played it, sadly (yet I keep piling on).
