The one huge irritant with the PS4 Pro that I have is that they didn't make the drive bay on it 1/2" higher. Even 1/4" might have done it, as that's 6.5mm on top of the existing 9.5mm. 1/4" (or 1/2") higher drive bay and the PS4 Pro could have taken 3-5TB drives. No external support, so 2TB is still it for space, unless you buy a 4TB SSD, which starts out at $1300+.

With that aside, most of the issues I've heard of with the PS4 Pro and games sound like immature CrossFire-like support, as frame drops and other items like it are usually video card driver issues when it's a PC we're talking about. That's why I want Sony to get 1-2 system SW updates out before jumping on it.

With Scorpio and it's modified 7770/7790-type video card, I'm assuming they're going three ways with the GPU:

1) CrossFire-like system with a second GPU, which I hope is the last option.

2) Some higher-performance ATI card that's a superset of the 7770/7790-class card they have in there, like the RX460/470/480.

3) They go a completely different way with the video card, such as one from NVidia like a GTX1060-class card. That could cause issues if their OS support doesn't isolate the video hardware from game designers, nor support anything except ATI hardware.

I would think that maybe they go dual-CPU with the Scorpio and a RX-class single-GPU video card under the hood. Hopefully a SSHD internal drive as well.

Not to mention Bulletstorm isn't Skyrim or even Bioshock. It was good but it was kind of a sleeper hit, so I'm having trouble imagining a $50 re-release doing very well. Which is a shame because more people should play it.

 
I worked at a used game store when Bulletstorm came out and for several years after. Had a huge infux of copies come in after the Gears 3 beta ended, and couldn't even sell them for $2.99 each just to clear the shelves. Nobody I know in person knows or likes the game, and those I know that bought it, sold it back shortly thereafter. I'm confused as to why it deserves a remaster. That's pure BC fodder.

I wonder how many of them actually played the game since clearly the Gears beta was their reasoning for getting it. Because if they had, they would've known how awesome it was. That was one of those games that did what it intended to do perfectly. But like everyone else has stated, the price is insane. I'll replay it for $10-$15.

I can't remember if I got it only because it was with the beta or if I picked it up for cheap. Either way as everyone else said BS was fun. I will pick it up for cheap at some point for sure.

A game that I'm quite fond of is Hunter The Reckoning for the OG Xbox. Not sure how popular that was because I was like 12 years old when it came out but I have so many memories of that game but never hear about it anymore. I wanna see that remastered.

Crackdown suffered a similar fate where people bought it for the Halo 3 beta, dabbled in the game itself, and then there were tons of used copies going around. As a short SP game without competitive MP, I'm not surprised most of the target demographic didn't give it much of a chance. Like I said, total sleeper hit. If anything, I'd expect a remaster to accompany a proper sequel. Or the original to be a giveaway ahead of one. Either way, no one is going to play it for $50, and adding Duke almost adds to the "does anyone care?" mindset since the character is well past longevity.

yeah I miss those kind of co op games. The Hunter games were great, and so was that Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks game.

I believe the biggest thing about this is that Gearbox, as Randy Pitchford announced at the VGA show, will be funding indie titles as the example here being Bulletstorm's People Can Fly developer. They were probably like hey can we throw in Duke Nukem and they were like ah sure if you're funding this project why not! I watched the reveal and half the *bleep* Duke Nukem said was *beep*ing curses lol. Being streamed all over the world and censored. What the fuck.

 
Still own my Bulletstorm disc. Might have to give it another try but don't remember being impressed enough to want a remaster.

There's far more deserving games. Vanqish would be ahead of it on my list -- or even just BC for it.

Man you guys are taking me down memory lane. Shaolin Monks was a classic! I remember Ed Boon teased a remake of it but nothing ever materialized. Wonder if he's still considering it.
 
Shaolin Monks is tied for my favorite OG Xbox game with Jade Empire. Game was so fun in coop playing and Lu Kang and Kung Lao. was really dissapointed it never became 360 BC

Alright, decided on Firewatch & Oxenfree. I'll pass on The Witness until it hits a sales price again though.

Shaolin Monks is tied for my favorite OG Xbox game with Jade Empire. Game was so fun in coop playing and Lu Kang and Kung Lao. was really dissapointed it never became 360 BC
Also heads up to anyone with Vermintide. First of all, great choice in games, secondly, there is an event right now where u just have to sign in to get a free item (think it may be each day this weekend)

There's a DLC expansion coming soon too to Vermintide. I bought it on release day but it's still in my backlog.

Hunt the reckoning and fusion frenzy were so awesome. I remember playing them at a friend's house when I was 12 or 13 on xbox demo discs and we played those over an over. If only they remade them and put em out as arcade games with online, all the og xbox players would be so happy.

I could not agree more, fellow N7er. This is one of my favorite franchises. I have waited almost 5 years for this. Yeah, the facial animations were a bit odd in the trailer and I'm going to miss Mark Meer and Jennifer Hale, but I don't care. Mass Effect is BACK. Day One Deluxe for me!

Glad it was helpful, and thanks for looking into it more. Awesome that it's every single day til Christmas. Today I got 2 items, so I'm wondering if they gave me one for yesterday too?

The game itself is really good from the very short time I've played. The classes seem to play pretty differently, and it's a lot like Left 4 Dead with rats.

Because it probably cost them about $50 to port it and it's free money.

 
Only a couple of missions left on Fallout: New Vegas and I've encountered a game-breaking glitch, after I've put 38 hours into this save file. I loaded a save file from an hour before, replayed through that hour, and same thing. It's a common bug with this quest, so I looked up fixes and tried them all, and still nothing.

Ironically enough, the quest is called "You'll Know It When It Happens."

DONE.

You're right, I will definitely miss Mark Meer and Jennifer Hale but it sounds like they have a good cast on this one. Still none can be what Jennifer Hale brought to Mass Effect.

But the human girl's place face (Fem Ryder? I can't remember the name) looks very weird.

Somehow, Bioware appears to have messed up what humans look like in this game :/

Hmm, I seem to have acquired the Gears 4 Season Pass somehow. I just logged in and had the Vintage JD pack, 2 Elite packs, 5 Operations, 5 Horde, and 5 Versus, along with owning the two DLC maps that are out.

I don't gameshare with anyone. No out of place logins or purchases. It doesn't seem to show up under my ready to install list but I don't know if it would normally. The only thing I can think of is that I did login to play splitscreen on my cousin's Xbox during Thanksgiving and he owns it. Anyone else have this happen or hear about something similar?

Regardless, I don't really care about the maps all that much but I did open all the boxes so I think those will stay. I'll have to see on the 6th if it lets me play in the VIP playlist.

 
Havent been on BLOPS3 in a minute, so I had to dl the last 2 map packs. The Micro map where you're on a picnic table is crazy lol

 
Yeah they're listed as promotional GC so they do expire 90 days after redemption and do have a redeem by date.

In other news I've really enjoyed most of what I've played of Recore so far despite its issues. The progression though is really starting to feel forced and grindy to pad out the game though and that's unfortunate.

Glad I held off on redeeming points, since I've got enough now for $15 in credit.  No worries about expiration here, once the codes come in, the Forza expansion pass will be purchased.
