I think RE 4 is worth a $10 play through if you're a fan of the series, through it's ups and downs. Then again I loved RE 5 and that seems to take a lot of hits these days, but yeah RE 4 was a solid entry, I grabbed it and 6 cause I already bought 5 at launch in the fall for the co-op and the Thanksgiving sale price was $35 for the three so probably getting no cheaper than $10.

 
The AC movie is probably getting crap critic reviews because the plot for the movie (a la the plot from the first game) is fairly ridiculous. You strap a guy into a machine an he relives his ancestors past lives in a mythical fight of Assassins vs Templars. If we the gamer saw the movie with no previous knowledge of the games, it would most likely be a vastly different experience. The trailers have looked faithful and quite good though. I'm going to see it regardless.

 
Just finished the Technomancer, trying to finish as many games as I can over winter break. I feel like it's much better than the reviews rated it. That being said, anyone grabbing it while it's on sale, a few tips. PLAY IT ON EASY. It's very difficult and unforgiving on normal, and I even died 17 times on easy, while on FFXV on Normal I died a whopping 0 times. Seriously, play it on easy. The first 2-3 hours are pretty brutal, but once you level a bit, and have a party, the game gets much easier. There is a lot of backtracking in the game. The first 20 hours I didn't notice it, but those last 10 I was very annoyed by it.

I didn't think the combat was bad, I liked the story and the characters more than I did FFXV, it goes in to depth about party members. It feels like a bioware RPG. 

Anyways, I would probably rate the game a 6/10 (I gave ff a 7/10). It's good, above average, and was so close to being great. 

On to Dead Rising 4 tomorrow.

My classes ended on the 9th too but grades aren't due until 12/21 so friends have had exams up through last week. My program, all we do is write very long/involved papers, I don't miss taking tests at all.

That was a weird indie sale of Firewatch, Oxenfree and something else I grabbed after Thanksgiving. I don't know if Superhot will ever get to $9.99, I can tell you it's as crazy as advertised. There is nothing really to compare it with, one of those rinse and repeat things and if I do pass the level I feel like I could of done that much better. Been going for a couple hours now.

Alright, need guidance, I'm upgrading my old Xbox one to a one S today for various reasons. But I'm torn between the white bf1 bundle and the blue gears of war 4 bundle. I prefer the blue console but I also would probably prefer bf1. But by the time I finish my trial of bf1 it will probably be on ea access. Thoughts?

Edit: titanfall 2 gets all my multiplayer time so I'm not concerned about that aspect.

I bought Superhot at release and it is insanely fun while it lasts. Seeing the level you just beat played back at full speed is like watching a crazy choreographed fight scene from an action movie and it never gets old.

It's biggest issue is that you'll beat it in just a few hours. Hopefully the sale price removes some of that sting. Once you beat it there are extra modes which is basically replaying the same levels with different modifiers. So there is replayability, I just wasn't super compelled to do it.

Ugh, I hate backtracking, and I'm a masochist/achievement whore so I'd have to play it on Extreme to complete it. Oh well. I probably won't get around to it until the summertime anyway lol.

The console will be around a long time so get the one that looks best to you. Games come and go and both of those will be $10 at some point.

If you're only playing the single player of BF1, you'll probably beat it before the trial ends (unless the full campaign isn't available via trial?). Either way, I would go with the color console you want the most. You'll be looking at that thing every day whereas you won't be playing BF1 very much.
 
Superhot is tempting, but its not even 50% off. I got enough in the backlog that I can continue to remain patient and wait for the inevitable deeper discount. Good find tho

I hope they don't take away Walking Dead. It seems like a free trial that is literally just the first full episode that you can also buy is a mistake. I booted up the 360 to re-download TWD2 to update it to upload my save, and was greeted with a system update.

And yeah, some colleges are still going. I'm BSing through a paper that's due in the morning now so I won't be able to actually play the game til tonight. Yesterday I had a professor not realize our final class was supposed to be then instead of tomorrow, so he just canceled the exam entirely, that was pretty awesome.

 
I have 3/4 for next month. Guess I'll try Deathtrap(hope it doesn't have the same impression I got from the first Van Helsing freebie) and snag Rayman Origins so I'll have it digitally. Meh month for me......bring on the countdown sales!!!!!!
 
Deathtrap is sitting at Very Positive reviews on Steam at least.

So got Walking Dead up and running. For some reason when I click on enter password to import my save, it simply wouldn't respond in the keyboard. I was able to use the Xbox app to type it in, if you guys get the same issue.

I haven't even tried Van Helsing yet, with my GwG backlog. Is it really that bad? (I never even bothered to download Deer God after what people have said here - lol.)

Halo Wars Definitive edition for X1 just became available to download recently if you preordered HW2. Corrected - Halo Wars is already BC

Just checked out a gameplay vid of Deathtrap. NOPE. Not a fan of tower defence/action-RPG games. Not gonna touch this one. Rayman wins GWG next month

Mass Effect 3 multiplayer is still going strong, for anyone wondering. Once it was made back compat I started it again to get it beat in time for the new ME next year. But, you have to play the multi to get the best Galactic Readiness rating.

Turns out the multiplayer is awesome and you get matched instantly still. The key is to remember to download all the free DLC for multiplayer so you are compatible with others.

I've almost maxed out my first soldier and haven't been back to the campaign in three nights.

Halo Wars is BC already. But I do agree that there is no way in hell that would have been free the same day the remastered version launches.

 
Not that they are always believable but Gamespot gave Deathtrap a 7/10 so hopefully it's not as horrible as Van Helsing. It actually looks good so I'll stay hopeful.

Already have Rayman Orgins and The Cave (on mobile). Suppose it will be nice to get all the seasons for Killer Instinct even though I really haven't been playing it.

Not a great month, but not a bad one either.

Edit: thought Killer Instinct was the ultimate edition (or whatever it's called). But it's only season 2. That kind of sucks as a GwG.

Well, this has 4 player co-op, so it shouldn't be that bad. That's pretty novel for a tower defense game.

Does anyone know if the Killer Instinct Season 2 pass is also good for the Windows 10 version of the game? My friend doesn't have an Xbox One but does have a PC and XBL Gold - can he use this in the PC version of the game?
