Define "a while" when u say it'll be sitting in a backlog. Surely the game will get cheaper. The biggest question is will it be cheaper by the time u actually play it and will it be significantly cheaper? If it's only 10% cheaper but u have been enjoying it for months already, then no biggie. If u keep it in the backlog for a couple years and it gets GWG (like it's series predecessor) then sucks to be you.

These types of questions really depend on when/if you end up playing vs the time it took to drop to xx.xx price. Witcher 2 was on sale for under $5 before they gave it away.

I'd say it'll sit there for a few months and like you said by that time it might be 10% cheaper which I wouldn't go crazy over.

All that said, just the other day I bought four Eneloops instead of packs because they were about $10 cheaper. My One controllers will get the batteries while the kids controllers get the packs.

First of all I bought the Gold Edition of Steep and am kind of pissed that the Moonlight DLC doesn't come with it. Guess it will be coming eventually but paying more for Gold makes me feel like it should be available regardless of preorder or not.

Also, for those that have the game, how the hell do you find nighttime challenges? I found one and that was before I got an outfit that glows (which they proudly announce but then have almost nowhere to use it).

I actually really am digging the game. It's ironic because I hate the pure exploration part of some open world games but I guess as a one time avid skier I'm digging just going through new areas and hitting the more extreme slopes.

Just wish you had the option of nighttime in the entire game.

I hope your "high output" NIMH batteries are the "pre-charged" type, and not the traditional NIMH batteries. I used to have a bunch of 2500mah batteries that were not the pre-charged type, and over time they degraded badly (many just failed) until I realized that the newer pre-charged variety (which have much lower MaH ratings, in the 1500mah range) were far longer lasting (many more charge/recharge cycles), and also retain most if a given charge for up to a year on the shelf. After many of my "high capacity" batteries started to fail over time, I finally threw them all away, and bought Eneloops or Duracell pre-charged batteries, and never looked back. FYI last night I wasn't watching the UFC fight because the Orange Bowl was fucking awesome.

Florida State won by 1 point, even after Michigan blocked a kick and ran it all the way back! Technically Michigan was hot on their heels in the 4th quarter and should have won but it was a great game because even Michigan, being down by 14 at the half, surged at the end in a crazy game of football.

The atmosphere of the Orange Bowl in the Miami Dolphin's professional stadium was probably amazing in person.

I love sports because anything can happen, it's very much like why I love video games and even competitive video game competitions. Can the underdog pull it off, will a team that's been alluded by the championships for so long finally win one (congrats Cubbies).

Yeah I woke up today and watched some European football and then came onto here to read through the thread to make sure I would update my initial free Gears codes post. Jesus, just admit to your wrong. Not surprised Rousey's fight was spoiled as it was last time too.

Feel like Harrison Ford on Air Force One where he doesn't get to watch the game live and has it taped and doesn't want anyone to say anything about the game. Then there's that one jack off who comes in and goes what a great game can't believe so and so won.

FYI nobody said they redeemed Gears 1-3 codes from my post. A lurker could have gotten them but eh.

hmm does the 360 also not allow gold price with a 48 hour trial? I get the gold price on my xbox one using a 48 hour code. I just redeemed another 48 gold code on my xbox 360 but it keeps telling me to Go Gold when i try to buy Catherine.

Microsoft always making it harder than it needs to be.

I guess it makes sense that a gold membership only applies to one console? even though i use the same account on both.

Biggquis, a buddy of mine from work had the same thing on the side of his stomach and it was a wolf spider. It went away after a couple days.

Not really sure but I thought the 48 hour codes didn't give you all the benefits. I think it doesn't give you the Gold pricing discounts but not really 100% sure. Maybe someone else knows for sure.

I dunno about a 48 hour trial, but there should be a 1 month of Gold for $1 deal on your dashboard advertised on both Xbox consoles. I'm pretty sure you can buy it on the website too, but you'll still need to buy the game on an actual 360 if you want to use Microsoft credit.

It really depends on what your poison is, if you like hoarding games and making your library bigger ( For some reason, I liked that at some point ) you might as well get it. But if you're really looking to save, know that single players games are usually the ones that go cheaper and cheaper, so unless you are going to play it right away, hold off. By the time you actually get to play it, it'll be even lower.

As a side note , and as someone who doesn't post often, I've read about this "Ignore" feature/button but I've never felt the need to use it. I might, though. So, anyone care to tell me how do I use said feature ? Thanks in advance.

The pats can't play the giants or cowboys in the playoffs. The only team that has a chance to beat them in the playoffs (in my opinion) is Kansas City.

Go to your profile page and click "Edit my Profile". You'll see 'Ignore' Preferences in the options on the left.

 
Honestly, I think this might be one of the best holiday seasons to date in regards to the sheer number of great deals that were available, especially in regards to the new releases. I don't know, maybe its just me but it seems like this was an amazing holiday season for gaming deals. Its been just one amazing deal after another since Black Friday. Some games have been discounted even lower than thier Black Friday levels. Lego Dimensions is a perfect example. Wound up picking it up at Amazon for $29.99, which is like $10 lower than any of the Black Friday prices I was able to find. Same with Gears 4. Its curently like $4 cheaper than it was on Black Friday. I can't believe I just picked up Dead Rising 4, which was basically just released not to long ago for just $23.99 at Best Buy. I even got lucky and found a copy of Assassins Creed: The Ezio Collection in the discount bin at Best Buy with a $19.99 price tag on it. They wound up honoring the price and even gave me the additional 20% due to my gamer club membership so I picked it up for $16. 

Lego Dimensions for $29.99, The Division for $11.99, Skyrim Remastered for $19.99, Final Fantasy Type-0 for $8, Dead Rising 1 for $8, Doom for $14.99, Dark Souls 3 Day One Ed. for $14.99, and the list just goes on and one. I definitely went a bit overboard this year as between Black Friday and yesterday I picked up 5 PS4 games, over 30 PC games (on GOG and Steam), and roughly 40 Xbox One games. Not to mention a couple season passes. A bunch of Sideshow statues I currently have on pre order got delayed so I had an extra couple hundred bucks to spend and given all the great deals, I decided to spend that money on games. I definitely wont have any shortage of games this winter, lol. 

And I gotta say, I had my doubts about EA Access in the beginning, but IMO that has easily become one of the best deals on the console side of gaming. I no longer have to buy any EA sports games as I really don't care about being 1 year behind. That alone saved me like $50-$60 bucks a year by itself as I usually always purchased NHL & NFL when they got down to the $20-30 levels. I purposely didn't buy Mirror's Edge Catalyst, Star Wars Battlefront, Need For Speed, and Unravel as I figured those would likely come to the Vault and sure enough, they all did. Not to mention, I have already saved at least $15 on DLC with the additional 10% off and now they are even making backwards compatible 360 titles part of the vault incuding the entire Mass Effect Trilogy and Dead Space. And the 8 hours of demo time a week before a game launches is a VERY cool bonus. At roughly just $2.50 a month it really is just an insane deal, at least for those that regularly play EA games. And I love that once a game goes in the vault its permanent. So you don't have to worry about games coming and going. I truly hope this winds up being a big success for EA and that other big game studios do something similar. I am definitely on the EA Access train for good. The amount of gaming I got out of EA Access this year for just $29.99 is just crazy.

Thanks for the reminder on the Titanfall 2 codes needing to be redeemed today. I had two 12 packs that I had to tear into and get the codes out.

Given the two double XP weekends they've already had, these have less worth, but I'm 1-1 in the Coliseum. Pretty tense matches.

I fixed a ladies heat today and she told me I looked a lot like Rob Gronkowski. I'm assuming she means the slightly special looking grin cause he's got like 6 inches, 75 pounds and about 9 abs on me

I honestly contemplated picking up Dead Rising 4 at that price from BB with that sweet GCU price for at least a hour lol. I finally decided that I'd skip the deal with how many games I've gotten as well. I agree, a lot of great deals occurred from BB, Target and then the crazy good BF XBL sales.

Yeah I think Microsoft's hold onto the EA Access/Xbox One partnership probably made their initial investment and then some.

Now we've got the Peach Bowl, Washington & Alabama. I think Alabama will go up against Clemson, who'll win over Ohio State, for the whole tomelle. That and the Pats get caught for cheating again. :whistle2:
