I got Mortal Kombat XL recently also, but I don't know why. I can't even play the game on medium. It took me a half hour to beat the training because I couldn't figure out the combo timing they were requesting of me.

This has nothing to do with anything, but I'm spending a week at the outer banks starting today and I brought one of my XB1s and my PS4 in hopes I could leech internet because I have a 300GB data cap each month. Anyways, it's fucking beautiful. I've got over 1TB of games I've been sitting on queued up on both. It's like the real Christmas this year.

Some CAG New Years Resolutions for 2017:

1) Cheaper Than Cheap - Only buy Xbox games when they're at 75% or better. Everything else can wait for cheaper.

2) Two Steps Forward - You must complete 2 games in your backlog in order to add 1 to it. This is the key to destroying your backlog.

3) Me, Myself and I - Give up multiplayer games that add countless hours of not working on your backlog. Only focus on single player games. Maaaybe 1 MP game if u must, but no more than 1.

4) Historian - Only buy a game when it is at the lowest price point ever. This means you have to do your research before making a purchase.

5) Matching contributions - Only pay out of pocket for half the value of your games, at most. Things like Bing points, GCU, promos, sales etc can eat up the rest of the cost.

6) Abstinence - Buy no Xbox games in 2017 to work on backlog. GWG doesn't count as a purchase since they're free.


I'm personally taking on options 1 and 2 but there's a few options I'd consider CAG Resolutions.

Yes if you've gone weak in gaming due to open world muchness I'd also recommend Inside & Child of Light. There's always Stardew Valley as well.

I know what you mean man, the reason I play a lot of Pinball FX 2 is is a good chill game in-between big open world games. I'm deep in Ori & the Blind Forest well atm.

Guacamelee is great, def play.

Can't believe I forgot to put Doom on my list, a oh hell yah def for to 2016 game.

And Fiesta Bowl, more like Siesta Bowl...

Nice list. So you think World of Final Fantasy was that good? As in a lot better than FF XV (which isn't even on your list)? Haven't played but this has me curious.
 
I've played quite a few Final Fantasy's in my time and World of Final Fantasy is my favorite. I'll probably play XV at some point but I haven't seen a single thing about it that looks even slightly interesting to me.

Dang. Forgot about that option. They're pretty easy to set up too right? Just plug in and push a button near the modem to establish first link and then plug it in at another location in the house..

I like all the bitching about trolling in a thread that's likely going to be replaced tomorrow. Plus, this thread has been off topic for the last week to the point any trolling would be a waste. Like one out of 10 replies is about Xbox Live deals.

On an different note, Xbox put the weekly deals in the same place they had the daily deals (looked like a pic of BLOPs III). Was giving me false hope they were going to surprise us with a new daily deal for New Years Day. That said, I have enough new games to last me well into 2017...plus yeah, the dozens of games I have collected through sales and GWG....probably only play one of them every few months it seems.

 
Well I bought Flame in the Flood from the sale. Escapists DLC and Slain from the same period but those weren't technically the holiday sale. Makes me wish I had bought Escape Dead Island just to have spent more credit...

 
This is my 2017 so far...

12:01am - Make resolution to only buy games for $15 or less.

12:20am - Buy Diablo 3 for $20

12:22am - Contemplate weak will power

12:23am - Begin waiting for 2018 to try again

When I was growing up, people told me I looked like Opie Taylor (though I didn't hear any Richie Cunningham comparisons in high school). Then a few years ago, some chick at a Dave Matthews concert told me I looked like John Daly, and that she had a huge crush on John Daly with some additional implications. A lesser man may have taken advantage of that. Sometimes I wish I was that lesser man. He probably has more fun, though possibly VD as well.

I'm personally taking on options 1 and 2 but there's a few options I'd consider CAG Resolutions.
