So... Shadow of War... 49 hours and 37 minutes to completion. Never bought a lootbox (except for the ones from in game tokens). Had tons of really good captains. Killed a shit ton of Orcs. Played all the way through the game (595/1000) without ever really mining for any cheevos. Didn't even spend the gold tokens I earned in the daily and weekly challenges... Anyone who doesn't buy this game because... "lootboxes... derrr... evil!!!" can fuck right off. Game is amazing and lootboxes aren't really useful at all. I guess if you just want to hammer the game out in a few less hours, you can with some lootboxes, but killing Orcs captains is the best part of the damn game...

The end bosses got a little frustrating, but once you learned the way to do it, it was fine.

Solid 9/10.

Fable Anniversary seems kind of obtuse in it's design, never really sure what I'm supposed to be doing at any time, I know the game is like 15 years old but feels like it could have done with a lot more modernizing

I think that's one of the reasons for the quest trail in the later titles. Hmm, it's been a while, I know it was def in Fable 3, not sure if they introduced it in Fable II.

Anybody else watching Mr. Robot? Excellent this season so far. Also surprised that USA has let the show lose in terms of content. Lots of f-bombs. There has to be like 20 just in this week’s episode.

But seriously, this is back to the level of the first season IMO.

I played the anniversary and didn't like it very much, even though I tend to enjoy games that have similar game play to fable. Keep in mind I didn't play in on the original Xbox, so I don't have the nostalgic feeling most would have.

  • Gone Home- I want to go back and get the 1000/1000- but my backlog calls to me and I'm not sure if it's worth the efforts.
     
  • OXENFREE- Amazing and I need to start my NG+ play through for achievement clean-up.
     
  • Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain has my complete focus.  Loving the game and engine; dreading the inevitable ending which I've heard is awful.  Mass Effect's ending was the worst that I have ever experienced.  So bad that I went back and played the final mission again to get a different one.  So If The Phantom Pain does the same.......then i'm stopping my pacifist run and going full assault on all missions, all over again.
     
  • Star Wars: Battlefront is calling to me at the sub $5 price.  I've already spent so much on the game (Base Game + Ultimate Edition (gifted OG game to my family)) but there's so much nostalgia that the connivence of not having to switch discs & own it digitally forever is growing on me.  Is this what getting old feels like?
     
  • Finally resurrected my old PSP and added roughly 64GB of storage.  Makes my daily 4 hour commute much more manageable and enjoyable.
     
  • In New York for the first time for work/wedding; the LA --> NY flight was long. My watch says 11:24pm but the clock in front of me reads 2:24am.  I'm probably going to hate the early morning sun.

Putting people on ignore is just an excuse to be closed minded. I don't agree with Liberals/Dems/Left/PC/SWJ's/Antifa but I won't ignore them because I may not agree with them. It helps me gain some insight. Although I will say that those of us on the Right do not support the KKK regardless how the media try to say we do. Also Antifa is basically the Alt Left. Politics aside thinking about picking up South Park. My friend is playing it and really likes it.

 
The dashboard update installed and I hate it. The last big update added the side menu and I really like it, but now it can't be accessed by just pushing left on the control pad, you have to go all the way up to your profile and pushing a button. Same with 'My games and apps', the icon is smaller and less obvious.

I do agree it will likely be a Cavs Warriors final again with the Warriors sweeping most likely (regardless of Hayward’s health). Celtics are probably still the 2nd best team in the East without Hayward but we will see

I just can't wait for LeBum to leave again next June/July and the meltdown that will happen in Cleveland by all the people that were fooled by him.

He really is a huge dick. (this from people who have firsthand experience with him)

 
I actually like the new dash even though I usually hate change(I just started getting used to the last one).

But one thing I’ve hated about the past 2 updates is they got rid of the ability to have the tv play while you’re on the dash, I also feel disconnected from my feed and never check it anymore.

I also hate that I have to do an extra button press to see stuff like my friends, pins and messages.

That's what bugs me the most about this new dash, that everything takes an extra button press to get to. Kinect commands only make it halfway too. "Xbox snap friends"..."Xbox open friends list?".. "Xbox select friends?"...."Xbox where's that damn controller?"

It's also annoying to me that the home buttons are ordered My Games & Apps, Store, then Pins. So great I can make a shortcut that I have to take the long route to get to!

Credit only works when buying directly from a 360 console. It's stupid and nonsensical. I still have mine hooked up for non-BC games but it's a pretty dumb problem to have when pushing BC.

 
After my 8 day, 50 hour run in Shadow of War, I need to fill the time until AC:O next week... Is Evil Within 1 worth playing? I have it digitally, but have never started it. I also have Watch Dogs 1 and 2 that haven’t been played. Are they a better option? God, sometimes I despise my digital backlog...

Just finished Chrono Trigger on as you said that. I actually never finished it for some reason (the start was kinda boring and I guess I just kinda lost interest). Easily a 9.5+ but still behind FF6 for me. Gonna run through Secret of Mana next.

Haven't touched the X1 lately since I'm waiting for the XBox X to get here, then I'll be back on my XBox 24/7.

9 more minutes till the BC drops.

Edit: Nothing? Ok guess my XBox sleeps another week outside of the rocket league nights.

Are you a fan of Re4? If yes then evil within 1 is for you with some stealth mechanics and some cool boss battles and it's scary as shit.

Have you played Final fantasy 7 or Xenogears? Them along with chrono trigger and Final fantasy III are the greatest Rpgs man has made.

FF7 was great but don't feel it holds a candle to FF6. This is just my IMHO. Xenogears is also great. The only PS1 RPG I consider amazing was Suikoden 2 (and 1 was also great of course) probably a 9.9/10 -0.1 for translation errors. Suikoden 2 is still my favorite RPG of all time, and of course game of all time just ahead of Megaman 2/Mario 3.

Edit: FF9 was under rated all things considered as well.

City skylines free to play weekend on xbox. Looks to be 25% off if you wish to keep it.

Yeah, the right only usually supports white supremacists and neo-nazis who are not part of the KKK. The KKK is bad for the PR.

 
FF6 is timeless. I know FF7 was a phenomenon because of the graphics and art style, and it still has plenty of charm, but FF6 has aged better. 

I love how FF6 has no absolutely clear protagonist, even if events somewhat center around Terra. Locke and Celes get equal attention and they do such a great job world-building, including [spoiler[ destroying the goddamned world and actually bringing the apocalypse. The fact that wasn't something for your team to prevent, you actually don't save the world in time, and then get to explore the World of Ruin... I still get chills thinking about the first time I went through it[/spoiler]. 

FF7 also removed most of the meaningful differences between character abilities, until you get into upper level Limit Breaks, since every character can learn/equip every spell or ability. FF6 presented the possibility with Espers for everyone to do anything, but you had to be thoughtful as you leveled up, making for a bit more planning, along with unique character abilities like Blitz attacks. 

I'm still amazed at how much character depth and development FF6 pulls off with such simple graphics.
