Depends if they are nice enough/think the remasters won't effect sales anymore.

Ubisoft has been releasing ACs BC despite the Ezio collection but BlackFlag still hasn't gone BC from the 360.

There a few games that have X1 versions that have gone BC besides AC but not too much. The Bioshock games, Borderlands 2, COD Ghosts, Costume Quest 2 (oddly no CQ1), Darksiders 1+2, Gears of War 1, Geometry Wars 3, Halo Spartan Assault, Saints Row IV. I'm sure I missed a few.

Hoping there also is a digital version of Origins someday.

Yea, I'd give my left pinky toe for Arkham City.

I believe the engine is the same between all of them so at least there shouldn't be any technical limitation to releasing the others if they can get Origins to work.

I never bought the arkham collection because I have no interest in ever playing city again, would love asylum to go BC or at least sell the remasters separately digitally.

also mega man legacy collection 2 took out save states like 1 had. If you are like me and terrible at mega man this is kind of a big deal.

Dang, did not know EA killed GW1 servers.

But in other Xbox deals related news, Disney is ending partnership with Netflix so they could make their own streaming service. They say shows like Dare Devil, JJ, IF, JC, etc. will remain until contract is up, afterwards though who knows. I believe the article says all this will happen in 2019.

UGH. It's getting to the point that we need a digital streaming cable package....these companies are stretching their limited amount of shows between too many streaming services.
 
Fired up the game for the first time and got put into a Welcome Mat server. The servers are still up and pretty active. Took my search about 8 seconds to find a GW1 match. Now to determine whether I'll enjoy this first match enough to start playing it.

Edit: I'll probably put some time into it. Had fun even though I didn't know anything more than aim and shoot.

Mmhmm, the cable companies were slow to react but when you add up all the HBO Now/Go, Showtime Anytime, Netflix, Hulu, etc we are just going to keep getting bent over like we did when you bought the premium plus package for cable.

I'm surprised it took Disney this long, given the amount of content they have. Fear of this kind of stuff happening is why Netflix, Amazon and Hulu started producing their own content. It's why HBO kept Game of Thrones out of their streaming contract with Amazon, and they're not going to renew it next year to drive subs for HBO Now. Exclusive content drives subs, and the best way to keep something exclusive is to own it yourself.

 
Need some outside advice/thoughts or knowledge. I bought that one s bundle on Amazon, but had buyer's remorse and decided to return it when it gets delivered tomorrow. My issue is that they've already emailed me the 4 game codes, which I have yet to use. Will they nullify them? Should I be foolish and use them? I'd almost assume they'd make me pay retail if I tried it, but the devil on my shoulder says try it lol. Anyone have any prior experience with this?

Explain this to a Amazon csr and be sincere and see what they say.You might hit the mini jackpot and tell you that you can keep the games and return the console.

Trying to decide if I should bite on FH3 UE at that price or keep holding out for a deeper discount.

I do still have a lot of FH2 to play before I'm done with that one, after all...

 
Thanks for the heads up on the free Pop!. I'll have to check out my store tomorrow. Hopefully they still have some Overwatch characters but they have a lot so I'm sure I can find something.

That's probably where the confusion lies then. There was a thing where any cosmetic items you unlocked could be transferred to Garden Warfare 2, but there was a cutoff date for that.

 
Has anyone without Amazon Prime who purchased the Xbox S deal received the 4 codes? I'm wanting to upgrade but worried I won't get the codes as the fine print says Prime only. And I don't have Prime.

I got them the next day, but I was gifted prime and leach off my brother in law's account. You probably won't get them without a prime membership. Can't you still do the one month free trial?

It's not terrible. It's issues are a little more tolerable when you don't pay a lot for it. I personally got bored with it, but I could see some people definitely being somewhat interested in it.

Totally agree. Loved playing as all the different classes and I even ended up getting all the achievements. GW2 hasn't grabbed me in the same way but that's not really the game's fault so much as mine for not giving it more of a shot.

Did they only take down the Xbox One servers or are you mistaken? I played the PS4 version a few weeks ago and heard the kids asking if they won at the end of the game as proof that I was online. With EA Access, they have no reason to take down Garden Warfare's servers since they're accessible to more people than ever and that's more people to buy the currency to get more revenue from it.

I didn't like Dark Souls at first and still question why I do now every time I play it. Originally played it just to prove that I could get all gamerscore in "one of the hardest games ever". Now I am constantly drawn to it. Everything feels masterfully crafted to perfection even though there are some annoying problems (looks at pvp specifically). The game has so many unique mechanics not seen in other games. It is original.

Lords of the Fallen on the other hand is a hot mess. The movement is just a little too slow and it has the feeling of a cheap knock off. Haven't tried The Surge yet. Not necessarily a bad game, but not Dark Souls level of good.
