Look, this weird thing about picking on praxus has really started to bug me. I don't know what the deal is.

I get some of the hate towards newbies in the GS threads, I understand the distrust for some of the mods, I can see why people get annoyed by Trench and BC. I really don't get the "praxus is negative so let's echo that every time she posts" shit.

Anyway, carry on. Just had to say something about it.

I like Bradley a lot, but he was due a big payday after this season which wasn't happening here and we needed to make room for Hayward's contract. The factory got Morris back in what was essentially a salary dump is awesome. Crowder is trash though. Really trash, while he's a above average defensive player his offense is terrible. Im so sick of watching him choke in the playoffs the past two seasons. IT was great here, and people here really seemed to love him, but he's older than Kyrie, has huge health questions with his hip and is a huge defensive liability. I think they are expecting a lot from Jaylen Brown this season as well, so it's going to be really interesting to see how he develops, and how much Tatum can help immediately as a scorer off the bench

Anyone else want to complete the #Forzathon co-op event for the VIP Porsche?  I have the VIP cars, and according to TA, someone without the VIP cars can gain the challenge if one of the co-op participants uses the required car.

 
QuakeCon is this weekend, didn't even realize. It explains all the Bethesda stuff on sale though, as they have a sale on PSN as well. Though their sale includes all of the Fallout 3 and New Vegas DLCs while ours doesn't for some reason.

Hard to say what news will come out. Marketing shit for Evil Within 2, Wolfenstein 2, and Dishonored 2 DLC. Maybe more info on the Creator's Club for Fallout 4 and Skyrim, and the VR games they're working on. Quake Champions just had some news as it went up for purchase on Steam with a $30 all character unlock pack like Smite, and Doom Guy was added. I expect their to be plenty of Quake news at it's own con though, I'd be pretty interested in a console version getting announced. It looks pretty fun, and definitely has more character that LawBreakers.

 
Speaking of sports, been watching Murdoch Mysteries on netflix the past few weeks, and there's been several sports episodes. I'd be more inclined to follow or support sports in general if it was still done like in victorian times. Athletes played for the challenge and love of the sport while still working real jobs, not for million dollar salaries, advertising campaigns, and video games including their likeness. If these companies took away their players massive salaries and incentives and they had to work factory or warehouse jobs in addition to playing I doubt most would continue playing, so sports are extremely negative in my skewed, jaded, negative view. Too negative a post?

Sure, the problem being that the owners of teams or sports organizations like the UFC want to make millions of dollars on ticket sales, TV revenue, etc. Seeing that, players decide they want a piece of the pie, which let's be honest - they deserve since their talent brings in the viewers. If owners were willing to not make tons of money and sell tickets for $5 a piece along with $2 beers and hot dogs, they could justify paying athletes less.

Valid as well, it's not just greedy players, it's the team owners and owners of the stadiums. If stadiums revenue were just based on the cost of upkeep things might be different all together. As any sport stands now I'll just never be a fan of such things. And yes before anyone says anything, I view all corporations the same way, from Hasbro to Pharma. Guess I am a bit of a communist.

I'm going to pick mine up today. Is it poor quality? I have a couple other headsets for back up, but I was hoping a $130 headset would be nicer than the $50 ones I already own.

I'm too lazy to go back for quotes, but a couple of the responses to Praxus were rude at the very least. Praxus doesn't strike me as the type to report, so I'd guess it was someone championing her or a lurker that thought things were getting out of line. Mods also just seem to get wind of threads derailing even when there's nothing specifically against the rules.

I would be down to try. I am a lowly plebe. I usually get on for an hour most mornings (6am to 7am Eastern) and various times between 6pm and 10pm or so during the week.

 
It's absolutely fucking ridiculous when people complain about how much athletes get paid. You are aware they weren't always paid so well right? The only reason they make so much money now is because the product they produce brings in even more money now, a huge percentage of which comes from advertising revenue. If the players weren't making so much money, all the revenue would go to the owners, which is why worse. They also dedicate more time and effort into their craft than any of us will ever put into whatever career we choose. They also have a much higher likelihood of a life altering injury or accident, and they are away from their families the majority of the year. Plus nobody wants to watch part timers who suck at their sport play, the NFL had replacement players once during s labor strike and it was really bad

My sister says the same thing. She's a wannabe social justice warrior who can't keep a normal job

Well I just spent $450 on textbooks for 3 out of 4 classes. If I express interest in spending more than $5 on anything on here, someone quote this and remind me of my student debt.

For those interested, my friend who was injured has made great progress in physical therapy, and may be discharged home on Friday. Will be on crutches or in a wheelchair for the next 8-12 weeks, but the worst of it is hopefully behind us.

Damn. I just had my sylabbi posted for the semester and I have a book that’s $180 with no older Canadian version available. I’m gonna wait until school starts and I make sure the book actually is mandatory before buying it.

My mom is going back to school. Just one of her books was $980

A few books when I was in school, included online content now that requires a unique activation code so you had to buy new. I could see this becoming what all books do.

Currently using on my pc. Feel free to agree/disagree with the below comments.

I'm pretty satisfied with the headset audio. Seems to work well when changing between stereo and dolby while watching movies.

Physical quality reminds of a lot of people. Looks pretty not a lot of substance. I do like the Cordura type material used in the headphone padding. But the of the overall headset is very plasticy. In contrast, this does make it light weight.

I don't really care much about the lighting and light color customizations. Nice perk but I can't see the lights while I'm wearing them. My l backIit keyboard on the other hand is important to me because it's backlit.

Had a few audio dropouts, but this may be due to the fact that I placed the dongle in a rear usb port. Have not tried the extender or a front usb port to reduce obstruction, but plan to do so. I had my Logitech G930 set up with the extender and that worked well.

Haven't really played with the equalizer in CUE software.

No real mic usage, so no definitive coments. I do like the rubberized matetial. It doesn't have an extrrnal foam windscreen and since I don't ever really like those that's a plus for me. Notsure when you say build quality if you're not pleased with the physical structure / durability or the general performance due to hardware /software build.

One last item. I wear glasses and there was no discomfort for me even after several hours of usage. My Monster DNA headphones however can become uncomfortable after 1+ hours. So that particular point of comfortability is a plus in my book. Also no discomfort from the the headband pressing against the top of my head.

Overall, for $10 I would have bought 5 of these. At $130 I would have been less impressed, but still satisfied. Remember the main piece of technology you're paying for is wireless.

No comments on console performance. IMO you get the best performance from this headset while using it on a PC with the intended drivers and CUE software.

I'll give a different perspective as I've mostly used it with my PS4. It's pretty good. Volume is just about right for the time when I play. I play at night after the kids go to bed and wife goes to sleep next to me. The surround and directional sound is pretty awesome as well.

Comfort wise it's better than my official Playstation pro headset. These I've worn for 2-3 hrs and no discomfort.

The only real negative is that the volume controls do not work on the PS4. Once you raise the device volume on the PS4 device settings that is it. Like I mentioned earlier I don't mind as I play late at night.

For $10 bucks I honestly cannot complain. Wouldn't have paid $130 though as I don't really game on my PC as often as my PS4.

I used to buy my text books out of India for < 5 rupees and have them shipped in. Cut my textbook costs by 75%. Granted that's not always possible. But excessively expensive textbooks seems to be a US problem.
