Yes. They all do. The more expensive versions include more bonus stuff, but even the standard gives you the game. It's what I have.

Also, if you would ever want to upgrade to a higher version, you would simply pay the difference.

X-com 2 is tempting, but with the new DLC coming out it won't be long till there is a GOTY version. Mario kingdom battle will hold me over till then.
 
They just keep tempting me with XCOM. I want to pick it up but I feel after the expansion comes out I can snag all of it for a better deal

Thanks. Still kind of torn so I’ll pelt you with another question. Since this is normally $40, are you essentially getting $40 worth of the F2P stuff that will be sold when it comes out? Or are you pretty much paying for just access?

Think I’m going to grab Ninja Storm 4. $7.50 seems like a good deal. Only played one of the more story driven Naruto games on 360 and am not into the anime, but the fighting looks pretty cool and a bit simpler than some of the fighters that I completely suck at.

Minecraft Story Mode I thought was pretty good. If depends how much of a Minecraft fan you are and some of how much a TT Games fan.

Is it worth it to buy Battlefront at this point in time, since Battlefront 2 is just around the corner? Are people still playing this game on XB1?

Yes, it's still a good game, esp now that everything is out for it. Sure you'll see all the numbers drop once BF2 drops but I don't think everyone will leave. Considering you're getting the Ultimate Ed for $5, def a good pick up imo.

It's in the name, Standard Founder's Pack, Game with Founder's Pack goodies. $30, do it, it's a really fun game. I've been entertained with the story and the horde style gameplay plus the tower defense defense segments - although mostly people just shoot the crap out of the husks before they get to the traps lol.

I would love for a Katamari game either BC or a new one on current gen. $5 is a good price for me if I could play it.

Is Fortnite worth it? I hear a lot of good from you people.

My wish list is MUA collection and Batman collections for $20 each. And Tekken for 25.

Goodies are nice, they've added an upgrade for your character's backpack and your storage vault. It is plenty of room for a while but after a few weeks you'll probably be close to full with your inventory - which you can also expand via skill points in the RPG skill tree available to you. The nice thing is you can recycle the weapons you don't need, are worse than what you've got, etc. The worse thing at times is running out of ammo lol. The biggest thing is, yes, early acess as every level loaded you'll notice "Closed Beta" in the top right.

At the moment they're doing a Storm Event where you can get Orange Hydraulic weapons - aside from Storm Tickets and upgradable collectibles - but they're only available during this event. It's been going on for a while so I wonder how long they're thinking to run the event. The weapons are sweet, but just like all the weapons in Fortnite over time they'll degrade via use. They'll also degrade if you die and respawn before or without the help of a teammate's revive. I had a pretty sweet Orange Hydraulic Rocket Launcher with infinite ammo but lol yup, I used that one up pretty quickly. :(

Fortnite boils down to find set location, grab BluGlo to power said device, defend against the horde. You'll go on and explore the map, scavenging for supplies, or rescuing survivors, or trying to find special mission specific items and then come back and build up fortification to defend against the horde. If you want a fresh gaming experience don't read any more, just play it and discover the game out like you're supposed to or/how I did.

The game throws a ton of schematics at you for weapons - ranged and melee -, traps and crafting supplies. There's a bunch of different Heroes you'll be able to use, although initially they'll have you play as Ramirez, the woman soldier you see front and center on the box art, you'll be able to play as a Soldier, Ninja, Constructor or Outlander. Each hero has their own abilities and perks, which you'll be able to upgrade to your liking as well. You can upgrade the weapon schematics, the traps, the heroes, the defenders (A.I henchmen you can bring along with you to defend your home base or during a mission if nobody joins your game), the survivors (basically people cards, each giving you a stat boosts for having them equipped in whatever squad, which will be all unlocked via the RPG skill tree), all by collecting XP for schematics, heroes, and defenders/survivors. You'll get to upgrade each schematic after you unlock that ability in the skill tree. I have only just about done all the unlocking on one skill tree, there's 4 levels. There's a ton to do, a lot to unlock and the llamas are a good RND loot system up to a point (I hear a lot of complaining from very high level players but this is pretty much normal when you go this route).

Would you consider it a good game to try for a newbie to the RPG genre ? I just started Saturday Morning RPG and enjoy it quite a bit. I'm not looking for anything too crazy.

Been while since I played but it’s quite a different game. Not a typical RPG story because it focuses on the life of Chopin. Don’t think it’s overly challenging so probably safe for newbies. But at the same time, I’d recommend reading a few reviews to make sure it’s something you’d be interested in.

Of course, $3.75 isn’t much of a gamble.

Obligatory Dark Souls cheerleading: Good price (lowest?) for a couple really great action rpgs. Dark Souls 2 got hated on at release, but people have warmed up to it over time. I think it mostly suffered because the was told it wouldn't be a Souls game, and at the last minute Miyazaki was brought in to "legitimize" it. It's still a great game in its own right, and it's not the worst Souls game. 2 is still considered the best for PvP because of the viability of different equipment/builds. 3 is fantastic, it looks and plays the best, but suffers from overdone fanservice and repetition. Oh look, another gothic castle filled with knights. I think it's a great game, and I'd argue that Abyss Watchers, Dancer, Soul of Cinder, Lady Friede, and Slave Knight Gael are some of the best boss fights in the series.

Fortnite is a good deal at $30. I know a lot of us picked up codes from the trade thread for $25, but I'd say it's worth another $5.

I'll echo this and also say it's a great game for RPG noobs. It's pretty dang easy outside of the optional content and it's also not that long by RPG standards, iirc it took me around 25 hours to beat. The battle system, however, is more in line with a SRPG than your typical menu driven turn based game, which I bring up cause you mentioned Saturday Morning RPG. Battles in Eternal Sonata take place on an open map and you manually move each character. While there is the concept of turns those turns actually play out in real time with a timer that counts down. So it's all about positioning your characters quickly and dealing as much damage as you can as quickly as possible.

The story is nonsense though. I honestly had no idea what was going on half the time and the ending was completely baffling. Doesn't stop it from being a fun game though.

 
Enslaved is easy to recommend at $3.75, pick that up if you have any interest in post-apocalyptic action adventures with a bit of a tug at the heart strings. Too bad it's also not BC.

 
Not a bad sale. I missed Eternal Sonata last time, so that's another off my list of games to buy.

100% agree. Not much replay value (unless going for all the achievements) but the game itself is really fun.

P.S. If you have a 3DTV and want to play the game in 3D, you have to buy the DLC :lol:

OT: Can anyone recommend a good, but cheap, powerbank for iPhones?

 
I see a couple people recommending the $30 Fortnite. Is it not worth the $15 extra to have 8 characters instead of just 1?

Also, when I was looking into it I read it feels 'grindy' and that you can really feel the F2P elements... confirm or deny?

Good sir, you have opened my eyes to how wrong I've been about Dark Souls. I did not truly appreciate it's potential.

Finally beat Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.  I liked it. More balance over Revolution but the story was a little simple.  The side quests were nice though.  I was able to get Pacifist so my New Game+ will be guns blazing.  I thought I never tripped an alarm but I did not get that achievement.  I hope the DLC is good.

Hoping it gets the X patch as it sits in my backlog. Pre-Ordered the Deluxe edition because I loved the first one but sits in the backlog.

Dark Souls 2 was great. The DLC was probably even better then the main game itself. To me the most amazing thing going from DS1 was the 60fps goodness. However, I think quality of life improvement wise I would probably still go with DS3. Especially if it gets a X patch of some sort. I know on PS4 Pro It's unlocked and fluctuates between 40-60fps, so getting close to 60fps a lot of the time would be great.

I'd say maybe. It would be helpful if you have SOME RPG experience as it's a JRPG and they are their own breed of game. However, the combat pauses when you aren't moving making it semi-tactical and giving the player a breather if need be. Battles have multiple elements such as light/dark and backstabs. It becomes really fun once all the elements are introduced and you put them together. Plus each character is truly unique allowing you to create a personalized squad. All that being said the main game shouldn't give you a problem. It has optional superbosses like most JPRGs but they are completely optional. Plus you can over-level if you really need to. All this doesn't even include the charm of the story and way it is portrayed which really sets the game apart from any other RPG I've ever played.

 
Woke up early this morning and caved on Vanquish and Streets of Rage since the majority of it was with credit anyway. Even if the Vanquish port is happening, and it probably is, I won't be spending $20 on it anytime soon.
