Bike courier was one of the first things I read when I clicked the link on the trailer and it had a brief synopsis, it's not in the trailer, but yeah it's in the actual movie and I guess that's how she gets her tomb raiding abilities? I Guess?

I don't really see how you would keep it alive. "Sales" of Xbox Prime games don't really exist at the moment, and we've had very few games actually announced for BC still. I think just Crimson Skies and Fusion Frenzy.

It's supposed to be free. Xbox One Edition just had a small update. When I booted it up it gave me an in game prompt to take me to the store for the new version. I already had it owned from the Beta though, so I don't know if that's supposed to make it free.

The transition seems kind of weird. Their FAQ says a few things like the Mass Effect mashup pack won't transfer, but the in game prompt specifically said it will be coming later. It looks like you have to "re-buy" stuff you own that is available, it shows up free in a new store. It said there was a big update to the Halo pack but I don't know if that means for previous Xbone users or new other platform users.

There's a microtransaction coin system for stuff now, I guess so purchases can stick together across all platforms. I don't really have a problem with that, as now there seem to be 3rd party creations on here too, but the exchange rate for dollars to Minecraft coins is bullshit. I'm curious if the free custom skins feature they've mentioned before is actually going to come. Seems counter productive with them selling skins.

The Realms crossplay has a max of 10 players on a server for $8 a month, or just 2 players for $4. I hope you can play splitscreen still while using the service.

Overall it seems like a great upgrade, but some of the changes are going to take getting used to. I was worried that Mojang was going to treat this version as secondary, but they made a lot of little changes console players wanted just from the short Beta.

Yeah, I'm just glad I held off. You don't get to play the main mode, but it is kind of shitty if you bought it thinking you'd have exclusive access until some time in 2018 like they said.

They're offering refunds if you bought the game between when Battle Royale was added two weeks ago and when it goes free. Nothing lost if that was the only thing you wanted out of it.

 
I haven't played the Fortnite Battle Royale mode, but it seems like that wouldn't be the smartest way for them to introduce the game to the general, non-paying public.  That mode is brand new and the standard mode is surely more fleshed out.  I'm enjoying the standard mode quite a lot and would guess the Battle Royale mode might only feel like a weak add-on to the main game at this point - especially since the game was likely never designed to be made for battle royale.  If I was the dev or publisher, I wouldn't want to turn people away by showing what is potentially the weakest part of my game first - even if battle royale type games are the hot thing right now.

 
Last I saw it sounded like this mode didn't have any progression or whatever tied to it. They must plan on changing that fast. Have to sell something if it's free, and they clearly made this decision to get players before PUBG actually hits.

I don't think so, I'm perfectly fine letting more players into the world of Fortnite and with the popularity of Battle Royale games it's not hard to see why they went this route.

Well I don't care what they do with the BR add-on as the base game is where it's at and quite frankly the more people that come into this game I think the better. The word needs to get out that Fortnite is hot tamale! The base game is a lot more but the Battle Royale mode is a good taste of Fortnite.

Edit: Eh, I liked the trailer for Tomb Raider, I was fairly surprised how much closeness it is with the game (Tomb Raider 2013) - that could be good or bad, we'll have to see.

It's just going to have cosmetic stuff sold for it with nothing that affects gameplay beyond maybe getting outfits that make you easier for others to spot in-game.

I hear ya. I'm not expecting even to make it our of the group phase. I'm taking this as an opportunity to try a bunch of games in my backlog, and figure out what I'm going to tackle next. Like, I own all the Gears of War series. Played through Chapter 1 on the original GoW last night. I might tackle that series now, you know? Or maybe I'll play through some other games. I'm not sure. I'm using this as a good excuse to play some games.

Speaking of which, the new COD is going to be X enhanced. But I'm assuming Sony marketing doesn't want them to talk about it.

All Anthem has to do is have a cohesive story, large explorable maps and lots of content to keep players interested. Destiny 2 a massive flop as I and everyone else immediately discovered how little there is to do in the game now and it didn't take long time to find out. They improved a lot on story but everything else is absolute garbage. Just go read the bungie forums if you wanna see all the complaints about how little there is to do and no incentive to play end game content.

Well if the multiplatform game has a Pro edition then it's more than likely there'll be an X edition, I would say. A Pro and PC version will have the 4K assets.

Plus PVP is bleh compared to first Destiny. don't like that they made it 4v4, plus not as many options. Just one option that uses a random generator for a game type with not many maps.

Don’t agree with Destiny 2 being a “massive flop”. I’m totally enjoying it. Much improved over the original IMO. Less confusing. More diversity in missions and environments. Just an all around better experience.
 
Gotta recognize all the players who are having a good time and playing the game, not typing out their complaints on the forums. Same could be said about the Bioware forums lol.

just wait when you hit the soft cap. All the gear you get will be useless. Only way of getting higher gear is through the weekly reset missions. A good majority of exotics are trash and not worth it to equip. Static weapon perks makes garbage weapons stay garbage. Going around each planet collecting tokens only to be given a RNG lower power level legendary piece without ejbg able to choose is a huge waste of time.

Can't choose pvp game modes like in destiny 1. All 4v4 maps. No 1v1 gun fights, just team shooting.

Assist kills appear as kills on your screen.

Nightfall having a timer is a horrible way of making it harder when the games about killing everything in front of you, not running or driving past it.

The raid gives more tokens than actual gear and it's not fun to play at all. If someone dies in the fire team, they have 30 seconds to revive the downed player or else eveeyobe dies. Everyone also only gets 1 revive. This is normal mode FYI. All old destiny 1 raids had unlimited revives on normal mode. Just had to wait for a 30 sec cool down to revive someone. All the raid armor doesn't have any unique raid armor perks to them. They're just for looks and if you want to infuse in it.

No weekly bounties like D1.
No fireteam icons on the map showing where your teammates are when you're on patrol.

A lot dedicated D1 players chased after God rolls, a good gun had perks to make the gun even better. They'd grind heroic strikes or Crucible for these guns.

OH yea no strike specific gear.
Strikes are a waste of time to play when public events give the same kind of loot at a fraction amount of the time it'd take you to finish 1 strike.

All the subclasses only have 2 skill trees to choose from and you can't customize any skill builds.

They took away any kind of customizing of gun perks and subclass skills customizing to balance pvp.

All there is to do at 280 power level is do the weekly stuff and get the "powerful gear" engrams from the respective npcs, hope you get something useful and use it or infuse it, and go play something else when that's done.

Destiny 2 at end game is literally just about who looks the best with all the shaders. Everyone's weapons are the same and all armor sets act exactly the same.

They brought back the most used exotic from destiny 1 and its all everyone uses in pvp now. The mida multi tool cause no other gun is nearly as good as it.

Bungie did great with the story and the initial content was very good after completing the story but around 260 is when things slow down and you're left with very little options left to choose from to get any higher. 280+ is basically the same as a 300. No difference at all and even being that high doesn't help in anything like the raid, trials, nightfall, etc. So to me an every other destiny player that played destiny 1 is very disappointed in this game.

They throw everything at you to make things as easy as possible, give you 2 exotics before even hitting lvl 20 and hand you 4 exotic quests to do without any effort into obtaining them.

Its just a matter of time before people find out how little there is at end game and trade this pile of dog shit in for battlefront 2.

People are total sheep, and need a popular figure to tell them what opinions are ok.

People may have hated on Destiny's lack of a story, but I much preferred the in game narration of your ghost to 2 hours of opening cutscenes. I was bored out of my mind running down linear hallways, clearing a room, hitting a cutscene, and then getting dropped somewhere completely different with new gear. I think I had made it far enough to at least pick which mission full of linear hallways to run down, but I honestly don't remember. Maybe it was because I started a warlock, but I absolutely hated the jump controls. I kept falling short of high jumps and I really lost immersion when my super badass power armor wearing death machine would bump his shins on a ledge & maintain a death grip on his gun instead of pulling himself up. Another thing I noticed, because I suck and kept having to hide to regen hp, was that the AI is still pathetically weak to wack-a-mole tactics. Nothing makes me feel like a badass quite like peeking around corners to get a couple hits then hiding til my shields/hp replenishes.

I dunno, the whole Halo series was kinda meh for me so I don't know why I expected more from Bungie in Destiny. The gunplay is great; the sound, animations, and reactions all work to give the guns that sense of reality and weight. After that tho, it's just linear corridors and fighting arenas.


No worries tho, I'm having a great time playing with all the new mechanics in Xcom 2 War of the Chosen. It really adds a lot for fans, but for people that already felt overwhelmed it's probably worse. I really like the covert actions and exhaustion mechanic that force you to have a much deeper roster of soldiers. Accompanied with much expanded bonus abilities, I've been having a jolly old time leveling rookies.

Overwatch is still fun. Junkertown is a nice little map with a lot of interesting vantage points. Mercy ult is now fun for her and less annoying for the other team, since she can't just run in and negate a lost team fight. Dva changes are ok. She gets a lot more dps in exchange for half the shield uptime, which is better for balance but muddles her role as a tank. Overall a good patch, but it can't address the toxicity... of our city, our city! (Couldn't help but go there)
