Capcom did learn from one mistake though. The budget being half the cost of planned DLC budget means It was really, really, really cheap by Capcom standards/AAA standards most likely. I saw Steam sales are only at 24k so I'd imagine even if the game bombs Capcom will probably break even.

The downside is obviously Marvel probably won't do another Marvel vs Capcom again because of the weak sales. So this might be the last MVC game we will see.

The other upside is we should see this game cheap relatively soon. I don't see much in the way of legs in terms of sales (ironically Arms has good leg sales lol).

But some matchups could live on if Nintendo reaches out to Marvel for characters for Switch Smash and keeps Capcom in the fold.

Go up the corporate ladder and we could finally see the mascot showdown of all mascot showdowns - Mario vs. Mickey Mouse. Bring in Warner Bros for a triple threat with Bugs Bunny.

There’s really a lot of good mobile games. Too many to name, really. I play a decent amount — mostly premium because I hate F2P micro transaction shit.

Mobile gets a bad rap but I never understood why. It’s cheap and there are lots of console ports even, like recently Darkest Dungeon and The Witness. Tons of JRPGs.

Love even having something like Geometry Wars 3 on the go.

Lately I’ve been playing Cat Quest, which is also on Steam and soon PS4. Also playing AKA to Blue, a cool shmup from ex-Cave devs.

And mobile gaming is...cheap!

Supposedly Capcom is planning to do longer term support adding stuff over time, beyond the 6 announced characters. It probably depends on sales, but Street Fighter V sold pretty poorly overall but has been kept alive by the FGC buying stuff. Maybe that was part of the plan, Capcom seems to depend on them since they don't have the mainstream success with casuals like NetherRealm.

Not often enough as a series. I remember buying them separately because they weren't on sale together.

Speaking of rewards, Microsoft Rewards is so much better than Xbox Rewards was in Canada. We can get 150 points searching (90 PC/60 Mobile), doing the random survey things get around 20-40 daily, being a Tier 2 member means I get 20 points for every dollar spent in the shop and a bonus 500 points to start off and 10% reward points needed to redeem for a prize. After three days, I have almost enough for a $10 card :p

Witcher 3 got updated with a 4K patch for the Pro (according to the video, it uses a weird checkerboarding system). It should be interesting to see how the X improves this.

You have to be on drugs to think Ben Affleck’s Daredevil is better than the Netflix series. You must also think he and J-Lo won Oscars for Gigli.
 
Was on the XBL Rewards site and checked and the survey is up now (as it wasn't Oct 1st). So hmm, question asks to narrow down to 5 Xbox One X Enhanced games. I went:

  • Crackdown 3
  • Assassin's Creed: Origins

  • Star Wars Battlefront II

Tough to narrow down, initially had Gears of War 4 and Shadow of War also checked too.

I've had mobile games stolen from me via updates, games I purchased turned into free-to-play garbage, and those promoted as being fully playable offline requiring you to watch video ads to save. Too much bullshit to bother with most of it, especially games that want you to pay upfront.

Woah. Iron Fist at #1? I absolutely hated that. Honestly thought Jessica Jones was pretty good...and Kristen Ritter is kinda hot.

Awesome news about Forza. I was hoping something like this would come our way and I think they more than made up for it and learned to not pull that shit again.

And a great game indeed even though the Pens couldn't pull it out.
 
Only watched season one of daredevil, luke cage and half of Jessica jones. Enjoyed everything I saw so far but can’t give a proper list since I’ve yet to see defenders, iron fist and daredevil season 2. Saw something interesting when going home today though
for Jessica jones season 2 they’re filming by my job, and they turned a Chinese restaurant into “Ghengis Connie Too” so it’s nice to see her come back from luke cage.

Also some more off topic, I caved in and bought a pixel 2. That camera looks great.
 
Anyone know what all these BC title updates are? Just tweaks in preparation for the X or something else?

Also, Penguins suck. Go Caps! It’s our year because the team screwed up quite bad losing Schmidt to Vegas, resigning Oshie to an absurd deal, and dumping MoJo for scraps in a salary dump. Good things only happen in DC when you expect the worst.

Even when I have three or four updates I want an update all option. Some times it feels like it takes way too long for it to register when I select to start an update. This week when I got 15+ a couple of days ago and then 20+ yesterday it's pretty frustrating.

Yeah, those are showing up as “not supported” showings for Movie Pass. What’s odd is that an IMAX showing IS showing as supported. I thought those were not part of the Movie Pass deal? If this one is, I most definitely will see it in IMAX.

Same list as I have, though 3 and 4 are interchangeable for me. Both seasons of Daredevil were great. Jessica Jones started off slow at first but got better towards the end. Major props to the writers for squeezing in a camel toe joke. The next Luke Cage and Iron Fist series should be a Heroes for Hire jaunt instead of separate shows.

I couldn't find the answer from a light Google search, but if my Xbox Live Gold expires, will I still be able to play my GwG Xbox 360 games on Xbox One?

Yeesh. I enjoy Daredevil and Jessica Jones so much (especially the former because I used to read DD for a bit once upon a time) and all the character moments in the Defenders made it worth watching, but Danny basically ruins most of the scenes he's in.

Every time he says something that's supposed to be dramatic or serious, or even just "...I'm the Immortal Iron Fist...." all I can think is:

This is the only answer.

For real, though, they nailed Murdock, he's well-cast, they do a great job developing his two identities and his religious conflicts with who he is. The Kingpin is equally well-developed and the show really sets them up to be rivals in interesting ways. The first season is one of the best things to come out of the MCU.

Some of those fight scenes in daredevil were awesome. Some were better then I've seen in movies. The hallway fight was excellent.

The punisher in season 2 was excellent as well. "Shane" was the best punisher so far.

Can't wait for his stand alone series. The trailer for it makes it look even more gritty then daredevil.

The fight scenes had a real artistic edge to them, I don't remember the last time that direction or cinematography made scenes like that stand out so much.

The Punisher was definitely well-done, even if season 2 felt a little bloated. My only issue with it is that the show goes for such realistic violence/gore that some of the ambush scenes (like when he's in the hospital) look more like real-life mass shootings, and it's hard to sit there and watch it for entertainment when it mirrors real-life tragedy. I realize that may have been their intention, to make it uncomfortable, but I still struggled with it.

 
Honestly main gripe with the Netflix series is that they need to feel a little more connected to the other movies and shows they share continuity with. Just a few more simple name drops other than just "The Incident".

 
Also throwing my hat in for the Netflix Marvel series being pretty great. DD season one and the first half of two are awesome, Jessica Jones was surprisingly amazing, Luke Cage was good, and Iron Fist was as shitty as everyone says. Defenders was best when he wasn't on screen.

I saw an interview with him and DD's actor, and he seemed likeable enough outside of being The Immortal Iron Fist, but either the writing for him is garbage or he's just playing the character to be outstandingly unlikable.
