Exactly. This change is just so that people buy it now and their sales don't look like shit. They will add micros in a month or so. Everyone still gets screwed.

Buying for $10 or waiting for EA Access. I only care about SP anyways.

So from this sale I got One Piece Burning Blood Gold pack, Lara Croft & TToO season pass, Batman season one complete, Banner Saga and Just Cause 3 XL. I'm fine with this.

Also side note: the first game on my games & apps is sorted as "The Banner Saga" and the second is merely sorted as "Banner Saga 2" in short, they really gotta remove the "The" from sorting so I don't go goddamn insaner.

Still a month of pure gameplay to enjoy. I was essentially stuck getting this no matter what because I bought the digital edition from Best Buy with a gift card in the summer, and threw out the gift card months ago. So I'm happy with what I can get.

I can usually find Xbox credit for 20% off anytime. I can't do that on PS4 so it basically balances out for me. I have all systems to I'll just do the math and get it where it's the cheapest.

The Surge was one of the games I was hoping to be on a better sale than the $24 price it was last week. I definitly enjoyed the trial, but I don't think there is $24 worth of game there. I could be wrong though.

So far I've purchased Overwatch, which is 18.99 less than the previous lowest.

Games I'm 99.9999% sure I'm buying are Sunset Overdrive Deluxe Edition, and ReCore. I've played both on the Gamepass, and enjoyed them. I especially loved ReCore. I'd rather spend the rest of my two months trying out other games that are on Gamepass.

I need to look into most of them more. Battleborn has a trial so I'll try and get it downloaded this weekend. I'm tempted to wait for a better sale on Agents of Mayhem, because I feel like it will be cheaper by the time I can play it. It looks like I might get spoiled on the Saint's Row storyline if I play it before I finish the series. I'm also wondering if Andromeda will go lower at some point, as I still need to play the original trilogy.

yeah I just cashed out for $55 since they have a deal going on, left a little in case a black friday/cyber monday deal pops up.

Nice thing is you can get a free year of xbox live or game pass.

You could basically buy a system and never have to buy anything with bing.

Plus with free game pass rewards, you can really make out.

Something happened with the 360 sales. A ton of things that were on sale have gone back to regular price according to Storeparser. I'm gonna check on the console and see if it changed there as well.

EDIT: It appears most of the games I was looking have all gone up in price. Interestingly, Metal Gear Rising is not longer available for digital purchase at all.

Hope it's all fixed and the prices are normal by tomorrow.

I played through the demo and other than the framerate issues it was decent. I picked it up when it was under $15 and was waiting for the big patch to play it so I'll probably start it up in January when I'm through some of the big games I'm interested in.

I'm not some platformer snob either I'll play an average ass platformer and get enjoyment out of it. So far this year I've played through Legend of Kay Anniversary, Voodoo Vince Remastered, and Skylar & Plux (a bootleg Ratchet & Clank) all three have their charms but all barely above average quality games and they are god tier compared to Super Lucky's Tale.

From my experience.

Depends on how many you redeem in a day.

The first two redemption should come by email fast like within 15 minutes. If you do a third on the same day you will increase you chance to be flagged, I've never got pass four redeems in a single day, once flagged they have to check for fraud so codes from then on can take up to 48 hours before being sent.

The best thing to do is no more then two a day if you want your credit quick.

if you order gets stuck on inprogress you will have to wait up to 48 but you should get it no problems

if your order gets hit with a declined you will have to wait 48 hours before you can try again if you, if you try again without waiting you normally get hit with another declined

Watching the fallout from this whole situation has been a sight to behold. I saw elsewhere that all the unlocks in the game would take 4500 hours (or 562 8 hour days) or cost $2100 in microtransactions. It's a new low for the industry.

My thoughts exactly, a 6/10 is usually worth $5. And since it's not CoD the odds of them being paper slips are probably a lot lower.

 
Man, I wish EA handled that stuff differently overall, but I have to say, seeing people complain both before and after they do something about it, like; isn't the point of the early complaining to get them to change it? Then they do and you still complain? Lol, I'm glad it did get changed for now though.

The problem is that if you're smart you know the changes they are making aren't actual changes. They are just manipulating the numbers. In essence you're still getting screwed. That's why people are pissed.

Now they are saying they will be removing micros for a while. Would you trust EA not to bring them back after they get all the poor suckers to buy the game to satisfy the sales numbers they want? I don't.

I hope people keep complaining about the shady shit that EA tries to pull.

Also, for those looking for 20% off XBL credit, there might be some deal on BF that you can stack with the $50 for $45 packs.

I trust they'll change the system yeah, a lot of people will get mad and say they won't make it better, but you know I try to see the positives and be happy about things, don't need to get upset/stressed over a game, and I'm willing to give them a chance to even things out.

Like others have said, maybe they'll just sell the cosmetics when those are out, or do something like Halo 5 has where you can get better gear still in one mode (Warzone) but have that mode have a system in place that can make it so it doesn't throw off the balance too much (Having to use points to use certain weapons etc), so who knows.

The Surge was one of the games I was hoping to be on a better sale than the $24 price it was last week. I definitly enjoyed the trial, but I don't think there is $24 worth of game there. I could be wrong though.

Does Game Pass stack with sales? If I were to buy/try a month and Recore went on sale later, would the sale and the Gamepass discount stack?

I plan on trying out Game Pass. I still haven't used the 14 day trial nor my 1 month code. Plus the $1 month on sale now. If anyone knows the way to maximize my options please do tell.

They don't stack as far as I've seen. Recore is $1 cheaper right now than it was with the Gamepass discount.

Realistically, EA's reputation tells us that we should be extremely skeptical of how they are going to change the game, and all the PR speak makes it sound as non-genuine as possible. They're clearly leaving room in their statement for the fact that the microtransactions will return, so why not just directly give us a broad strokes plan?

I think they'd get a much better reaction if they flat out said something like "We have heard loud and clear that our players do not want progression to be connected to real money, we are removing lootboxes until we are able to implement a rewards that don't affect gameplay, like cosmetics." Instead they said something close to this, but with more vagueness on what will actually change so they have wiggle room, and they're continuing to try and deflect the criticism as much as possible like they have been for the past 3 days or so.

As of now, I think the upset people are going to stay upset (but less so), because the progression system is mostly RNG based, credit payouts are still dismal, and the campaign seems to be pretty meh like the often phoned in Battlefield stories. For EA to stop getting shit on with this game, it would take massive changes that would likely take over a month to develop and implement, and even then a lot of people won't let the original intention go, much like the awful announcement of the Xbox One that crippled Microsoft this generation.

Seriously, it is a XBone thing, as in how the public reacted to it, but I don't see how locking gameplay changes behind a RNG system was any innovation though (as I previously felt that's what Microsoft was thinking with the online centric device back when XB1 launched).

 
Looking back at the time spent on Battlefront, I just didn't really enjoy the game. Playing as a stormtropper or rebel is just not that fun. I agree with the CAGCast today.

I'm not saying it's a bad game, I can see why people enjoy it, it's just not for me at $60, but at $10 I'll play the campaign.

I can understand this for sure, do you usually not like most standard shooters ala Battlefield/CoD where you play as a regular soldier?

 
The main reason I may keep my BF 2 pre-order is the space combat. It’s phenomenal. I’ve been craving a game with something like it for years. CoD Infinite Warfare did a really good job at it in the campaign and wish they had added it to MP. I’m doubting Activison will revisit futuristic combat anytime soon with the response to WW2 being so positive.
 
So how exactly are you guys getting xbox money through bing? Is there some trick to it? I used bing for just about a month a while ago and never earned much points at all. I think the last time I checked I had somewhere around 1200 points. Not enough for anything after a month of putting up with it. Yes, I prefer google for searches and news.

At mimimum.

150 (pts minimum per day) x 30 days (on average per month) x 12 months = 54000 pts/ year minimum

currently 7000 for $10 of MS store credit, so you can get $70 of credit

There are other ways to get points - trivia, bonus point days, etc
