Paid bills today. That was depressing.

Yet I spent more money on that Wii U deal. Ah, I’m worth it. :)

That said GameStop hadn’t shipped the damn thing yet. What happened to the “Usually ships in 24 hours.” Guess they take that “usually” seriously. Price went up $65 today so at least I got in on time.

Resisting any more Xbox sales for now.

FYI, I got the Game Pass $1 sub in November, and just got it for $1 again, even though it says "new members only." It only doesn't work if you have an active subscription.

Yeah, I saw that too... good until 1/6/18, I think. I'll probably do it just to finish up that 500,000 star achievement on Sky Force Anniversary. I think I'm at about 350,000 now. Picked up Sky Force Reloaded... you can unlock different ships, which is cool, and there are more upgrade levels. There are also more "bullet hell" moments in the levels, rather than just during the boss battles.

 
Guess my X is about to die soon. Saves didn't sync up right. I wiped my entire drive already and did factory reset. Basically re-downloaded all my games but It's having errors just installing shit now. Somehow games still run for the moment at least.

This sucks.

I can't say for sure but it seemed much better when I played a week or two ago. I only played a few matches but none of them dropped. I know it's not many matches and could've been lucky but in the past I could get disconnected multiple games in a row. I don't know if they've been implemented yet but I just did the beta for dedicated servers.

How kind of them to not include the winter games DLC for all the people that already own the game. I didn't pay much for the gold edition and even getting credit at a discount I really don't want to pay full price.

Man, I wish I had picked up Prey for BF. I don't want to pay $5 extra, but I doubt it will be cheaper before the spring sale. That's like only paying $1/mo to play it now instead of waiting. Who am I kidding, I'm just going to play for an hour and then spend days staring at the menus trying to figure out the optimal leveling path. The trial should hold me over.

My project scorpio edition started having trouble with saves and then after a week wouldn't even turn on. Is there any reasons as to what is the problem. Is this a wide spread issue?

Is yours a Scorpio? Seems like most of the problems I’ve read about were with that version. So far so good with my regular version.

At least it’s still under warranty, but still is shitty to have that big of problems so soon.

Just wanted to reconfirm my hatred for GameStop. I mentioned that Wii U bundle deal I got on Christmas Day. Well, the games shipped but the console has not. Of course, talking to their incompetent customer service doesn’t help anything. Just that it’s in processing.

First they said it wasn’t in stock then they rechecked and said it wasn’t in stock. Who the fuck knows?!?

With my luck, the console order will be cancelled after the game return date passes.

Sorry wanted to vent...

I’d buy some more Xbox games to make me feel better if I didn’t blow it already on that bundle! Should have known better than to throw money at GS.

It's a Scorpio. TBH I don't even care about the fancy lettering on the front anymore. I rather just have a working console.

Basically what happened was I got a E105 error when I first got my Scorpio at launch and a reboot fixed it. I never thought much of it just thought it was a update issue because everything worked fine for a solid month. I never had a problem till about the first few days of December. I got another E105 error and did the factory reset but choose to keep everything. A day later I got some odd error code and basically NOTHING would install/update for a good hour. After a hard reset keeps started to update again and have no issues. A few days later I would get a occasional error saying installations were stopped but after a few retries they would work again. I decided to do something drastic this time and wipe my entire internal hard drive while leaving the external unplugged. It seemed to solve the issue for almost two weeks but last night my rocket league asked me to accept the TOS and I did. Of course my dumbass just realized I was resyncing my save so I ended up losing my entire career stats, not a huge deal because going to leaderboards you can still see your goals assists etc but sucks regardless.

Anyways I haven't been able to replicate the E105 error and it seems random when to have issues. I haven't been able to get it to persistently have issues to be completely broken. I only had a rare crash with PUBG and some 360 BC titles. No over heating or anything of that sort so I am 100% sure It's a internal hard drive issue or the system needs a update. The issue with the update is the OS team is on holiday vacation so who knows when the next OS update is going to happen.

I also had to send back my controller a week ago because it would constantly lose connection. I knew it was the controller because my older controller has never had a issue I used it instead. It would lose connection once every few days, but then ended up losing connection every 5 minutes (or less) and was beyond annoying. They didn't send me a prepaid label or anything and said I had to self ship so I spent $7 of my own money to ship that out. I've heard It's a fast turn around for controller because they supposedly send you back brand new controllers.

Right now I'm just waiting it out till things get worst so I have "proof" my shit is broken. But from what I read it doesn't seem to matter too much because through the advanced exchange program they keep your broken one and you get a new or refurbished unit.

I'm more worried about having the new unit just break over 90 days and having to pay again. I don't know how much it costs to fix a broken X out of warranty (which it would be after It's fixed 3 months down the road) but I believe It's $115 for the S.

It's a decent drive away but apparently I do have a store near me. I actually bought it from MS themselves because of the 20% off currency deals. I was able to get my X for around $420ish that way. I'd probably spend the money on gas alone or just around it going there but that's great advice.

Yeah you can't wish a Merry Christmas and then say but not that one person. That's not how it works. I was a little irritated that Christmas music now and days is all non-Christian music (not once did I hear Hark the Herald King, SIlent Night, O Come Ye Faithful, etc) while listening to DISH's Christmas music channel or the Christmas station on XM. Pandora on the other hand delivered.

Was an enjoyable and a Merry Christmas with family in Albany. We drove over on Saturday because Sunday NY was gonna get dumped on with a bunch of snow. I was quite beautiful when you're over at someone else's house and you don't have to clear the snow or worry about driving through it lol. After Christmas my cousins, Aunt & Uncle invited me to see Star Wars Ep. VIII The Last Jedi with them and oh my god, wtf did I just watch - so many inconsistency. I will spare you all my rant lol but if you're interested it's over in the off-topic thread.

I was able to download a shit ton of stuff, games all updated as well which is nice, at my Uncle's house. I didn't ask for any games because everyone knows I pick them up during BF lol. Did get a bunch of Blu-ray movies though (Arrow S4, Wonder Woman, Spiderman: Homecoming, Logan, War of the Planet of the Apes). Got some Star Wars icon glasses, that I don't know if I can look at the same after watching Ep 8. Did get some Amazon & Gamestop GCs as well. Saw Agents of Mayhem $10 at Gamestop from the CAG FB post so I might liquidate my GC on that.

I finally got Mafia III Deluxe, Steep update and decided to pick up NBA 2K18 on Game Pass before it's taken off at the end of the month (not really a basketball video game fan). I'll prob cave on Kora and Solus Project (good to finally see that on sale) though.

Also thanks for the link for Music of the Spheres. Even though I'm not a huge Destiny fan I have been a fan from that one guy.  :whistle2:$

Mine started out saying there is a problem with your game saves with no error code. It said on the screen that the issue would be fixed by resyncing the save on the next boot up of the game.

That issue turned into an e105 which happened 5 or 6 times but the holding in eject sync and power as instructed was able to recover and it lasted almost a week with no problems.

The final nail in xbox was an e102 that said it had to be sent back, it wasn't a month old at this point. I tried a hard reset and it would not reboot so I unplugged it and let it sit overnight. On initial start up the animation was choppy and slow motion but after booting up I reset the console to factory stock and boxed it up. Returned to best buy and got a regular one it is now on its 4th day of use.

I know it's not cool to talk about Madden, but my son wanted it on the XB1 since that's primarily what he plays on upstairs. I've had Madden on PS4 Pro since launch and didn't plan to get it on XB1 but since it's only $24 it was a late addition to his Christmas presents. Anyway, I had put it on the old XB1 fatty that he plays on yesterday and decided to copy it over to my new X I got last week.

Holy. Shit.

I know everyone raves about AC Origins and a few others as being the penultimate demonstration of the X's power, but I would put Madden up against any of them. I didn't expect there to be much difference from the Pro but I can assure you that assuming you've got a good 4K w/HDR TV there's a VERY noticeable improvement.

It's not often I can say this, but well done EA. Well done.
