My biggest contribution to this site LOL. It was such a big deal to me I put it in my signature. I wish there was something similar nowadays, getting a $100 ultimate edition for $60 was a no brainer.

He left out a couple things I thought were notable. Hunt Showdown has looked pretty neat so far on PC, 2 player co-op online mix of PvE and PvP with some Pubg elements. You fight other teams of human players and I'm guessing zombies but there is also "boss size" monsters like a giant spider or some giant pig head thing with a chainsaw. Also in the Pubg vein Dayz finally has a release date, that will be a weird one on consoles and always seemed the game is more what you make it like a Sea of Thieves. I also am interested in the new game from the PS4 exclusive "Until Dawn" people, game is really interesting. Has a choice making element, I guess like TellTale stuff but more of an action real time focus.

I know by now anytime there is anything at all MS related going on there won't be a BC announcement unless it's part of the presentation. I don't think it's dead at all but there is a finite supply of games to do.

 
Was about to bite on Agents of Mayhem but then reconsidered. Seems like the type of game that's perfect GWG fodder so I'll hope that MS announces next months offerings before sale ends. Although they've been running pretty late on that recently.

Yeah right now it's just solo or duo's but it's kind of an early access thing like all games these days so that could change.

It was a good deal though. I ended up getting boxes buy on get one free and had coupons. I got like 6-8 boxes I preordeed adrift, and mighty number 9 got rare replay for free.

They cancelled my preorders so I called ms and they gave me all the coupons I used in free Microsoft money. I made out like a bandit.

Thanks again folks for the feedback. I am working on seeing a counselor but I am preparing for the worst. I have not seen the papers yet... so still look for lawyer even without the papers? It's gonna be fun times. I had no idea when they met half of everything even your 401k! We are still living in the same place. I told her I am going to give her all the space she needs but I can't leave the house till the courts make us sell it. Yesterday I spoke to her till I was blue in the face to no avail. Today I've become much, much, much less stressed out. Crying a bit (btw I never cried for almost a year before this all happened) but It's all come down to the fine details now. I had to take a personal leave from work which I am also needing your CAG thoughts and prayers. Apparently a personal leave is still ultimately up to my store management's hands, so they could fire me. That would just be the cherry on the top of a shit sundae.

Also... Gamescom is disappointing. I thought we were gonna see a new elite controller. The biggest announcement I saw was PUBG leaving Game Preview. Seriously? The game can hardly maintain a locked 30fps and still has plenty of bugs. Kinda like my current marriage.

I'm very sorry to hear it dave. Keep your head up. It will get better and this too shall pass. Hit me up if you need. Even just a friend to a play a game with. Even though this is hard sometimes its for the best you may not notice it now but you may find that you are happier in the end.

I would suggest you file for fmla at your work. Call your hr people. You should be covered.

Doubtful FMLA covers divorce.
Not to be that guy, but, its not one of the things...his employer might have something like FMLA that he can use for divorce.

The purpose of FMLA is to provide a means for families to balance both work and medical or personal needs without sacrificing their job security. An employee may request FMLA for any of the following:

  • To prepare for the birth of a son or daughter
  • To care for a newborn child
  • For adoption or foster care placement of a son or daughter

  • To transition employees or spouses who are called to active duty

It doesn't sadly. I took a leave for what I could do to get my head straight. I was at work bawling my eyes out and could not focus at all. Management saw it and is well aware I was useless to them in terms of ability to work. You have to leave your baggage going into work.

I am aware once I have my court days and lawyer dates I'll have to be doing those the day I work or days off. I don't think work is gonna have a issue with me taking a court date off. However I was well aware a personal leave might effect my job and I am hoping they understand me. If not, then like I said I have to deal with it. I am lucky to have amazing parents if I need to live there while I recoup and friends that have offered a place for me to stay.

On top of everything a amazing CAG community. I hope I can land on my feet and shower y'all with more giveaways when the time comes.

Gotta agree that Xbox's Gamescom was pretty lame. Hunt looks alright but I wouldn't say any Crytek games have been amazing beyond graphics. I'd say DMC V was probably the best thing in Xbox's show, along with Supermassive going multiplatform with more tradtional games closer to Until Dawn than some of the weird stuff they've been doing lately. Outside of their show, Biomutant looks pretty fun, and Soul Calibur showed off what appears to be a substantial single player mode for Create-a-Soul characters, which look decently expanded themselves with the ability to chose several races now. The only downside there is Tira being announced as DLC, but it seems like she's a pre-order bonus rather than them showing off paid stuff before the main roster is even completely known.

Good luck with everything Hibiki. Work stuff is hard to judge when you're having a tough time, as it really depends on both the company and the people directly responsible for you being understanding or at least lenient. I know it sucks hard but just try to focus on the good things, like the friends and family you mentioned. If multiplayer gaming is something that will take your mind off of stuff for a while, myself and I'm sure most of the regulars are open to play.

It can get really crazy especially when lawyers get involved. They end up taking half of everything before you two end up splitting the rest. Here's to hoping you get to keep what's important to you.

For like 15 mins.

Just shot of an email to see if they'll add the points. The 3$ pre order discount is probably what kept it from happening but since that's about as much as 3,000 points will get you it kinda works out the same either way.

My rule of thumb: if you have the cash (NOT CREDIT, don't buy video game stuff you can't afford) and are going to play it now, then go for it. If your just back logging it, wait for a good sale, modern video games always get cheaper unless they are somehow rare cartridges or something.

that my only concern i got a huge backlog but i kinda wanna try the game out but im not sure it might just end up in my backlog guess ill sleep on it and decide in the morning

I bought it because I had bing credit, plus you get 100 points per dollar as part of the summer spotlight. It’s really fun! Gameplay is really polished and satisfying
 
I can't believe y'all slept on the biggest announcement from the Xbox broadcast: The new Tomb Raider will have more water levels! I was holding my breath, but thankfully Lara will have to hold hers more often. If there's anything the gaming public demands, it's always more water levels. So relieved Eidos Montreal has stepped up to give the people what they want.

But really, that was the weirdest promo for a new game. If anything, it made me less interested in the game.

 
Is there a way to put a password on external hard drives? Which would you guys recommend? I keep my games on a 5tb hard drive, and the rest of my media goes on 4tb seagates, I'd like to lock these things up but have no idea how.

What I'm reading from David, he could file for temp. mental stress. Go see a doctor/therapist, explain how much this situation is taking a toll on your well being both mental & physical. I know when I worked in the health ins I would see claims approved for fmla due to stress.

To my knowledge, not if you want to access them on an Xbox.
