Some notes
  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold.  You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.
  • On Xbox 360, you must have at least a 1 month Gold subscription for sales and Games with Gold.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

Wouldn’t it be nice to be able to preload physical games —just with the knowledge that you couldn’t play it until you put the disc in?

I mean I can get RDR at 9 pm but it will probably be midnight before I can play it with the download. :(
I've frequently said (to myself) that I wished MS would allow anyone to download a game or DLC even if we don't have a license (either via purchase or game pass/EA access) and then later when we get the license allow us to just start playing. I'd love to preload several games I know I'll buy at some point while I have extra bandwidth at the end of any given month. Considering how easy it is for them to revoke licenses whenever there is a SNAFU with them I honestly don't see a problem.

I have been religiously doing the badlands login every single day for the past 25 days - on mobile, on computer & Xbox multiple times. Which is why I am 11/20 in logins. Heck, my current bing streak is 16 days which means that I have had at least as many logins for badlands - since it only started after I triggered badlands. At this rate, end of November is when I will get 20/20 for the badlands login quest.

16 is btw, my best streak so far...so think I'm touching distance to beowulf. Look over your shoulder buddy, should see me any moment now...

who has me beat?

Dude, the streak is for doing the tasks, not logging in. He explained it very well. You did it wrong. The rewards program has its problems and quirks, but for most people, this isn't one of them.
No need to jump in. As I explained in my earlier post I've seen it behave differently in the past.

Already been said but you have to do the 3 daily activities for it to count towards the streak
Theeeeeen...why say it again?

I dont know if you know this but you need to do the 3 daily activities...

I'm really hoping the return of Alan Wake simply means that it's getting Enhanced with X update. With the exception of the resolution I think the game's visuals have held up well so a bump to 4K (and hopefully 60fps) would be great.

There is a "Get 1 month for $1" gamepass deal ad on the dashboard. Exactly the deal I was hoping for to start getting the holiday dollar deals to sync up, but it still wants me to pay 10 for the month/3 months.

X enhancements can't help increase frame rates beyond whatever a games limits are. Looks like Alan Wake was designed to run at 30 FPS on 360, so it's trapped there forever. Apparently the resolution was like 540p though, so a boost there would be a massive improvement.

You don't have a punch cards section on your rewards page showing Wild Kingdom, Moon Gate and/or Bad Lands?

In POG form?

I'm at Re-Up 10, L54. Hopefully they clarify during tonight's Dev stream. Got a 3 day weekend starting tomorrow, can take in some of that 6.66x XP, except Saturday and Sunday nights.
i thought i started one before now when i click on it it doesnt take me to the page

I did the same. What time does it unlock?

I'm on west coast so I assume 9pm? The preorder said it had to be in before 9pm to count as a preorder when I was on the screen on PC.

I had $21 of Bing Xbox credit and I don't get charged tax on Xbox so it was 59.99 compared to $52 for Best Buy disc but I only have $5 to Best Buy right now. $39 out of pocket and no disc for a game that now I can play on both my Xbox One without moving a disc. Seemed like a good idea.

Anyone remember if the BO4 and FH4 punchcards were up in the rewards app the day of release or the next day? I'm tempted to wait on RDR2 for maybe a day if so.

I don't remember exactly but within the first few days on BLOPS 4. The BLOPS4 one was definitely a sizable amount of points, the main punch card for buying the game was 6000 points and the little extra one for getting an achievement was 500. So I'll call it $6 plus in credit. Playing tonight was worth the $6 for me on this one, but it's the very rare exception.

Ok so like I said I completed "Badlands" yesterday and now I have a MS Rewards "Hot Deal" showing up for 3 months of Xbox Game Pass for 0 points. So maybe that's how they are doling out the 3 months of Game Pass for completing it, you can see they did "Hot Deal" for that $5 for 2500 points earlier. So that would be no code just to account only.

I think my problem with the bing/Microsoft/xbox rewards/offers never showing up for me like they do for everyone else is that even though I'm Gold the site doesn't think I am. On the My Offers page all it ever says is Sorry, looks like you're Ineligible for this promo, and below is info on the benefits of going Gold. No idea how to fix it, and it's beyond annoying that everyone gets offers but me.

Yes. They're located in the little town south-east of the main festival site. I think they start to show up after level 50 with the new patch. (Patched my PC version, didn't see if for the X1 yet) So that brings your totals up to 50 chapters and 120 stars. I personally found them the easiest of the bunch, too.
Thanks! I'm on Xbox and downloading the update now. The really weird thing about FH4 is that it still let me play the game even though there's an update available. I haven't encountered any other game that does this. Every game, if there is an update, it kicks you back to the dashboard and tells you to download the update. But it let me start up FH4 just fine. I checked the map and didn't see any new stories. So I went into Games and Apps and saw the update. Downloading it now. So weird.

I have an Alan Wake Xbox code (plus DLC: The Writer & The Signal) available. If anyone is interested I’d take $10 XBL credit (or PSN or eShop credit). Just send me a message.

I already own the game. Got the code when I recently bought a copy of Quantum Break from GameStop (new converted to used thus the code being good still).

Yeah, the low resolution makes is practically unplayable today, especially on a large TV. But the lighting and overall aesthetic is still great so a full bump to 4K would work wonders.

Off topic but bought a one x from the microsoft store on the 19th and noticed they have a 30 day price guarantee. Would I be able to go back and take advantage of the new deal of save $100 on a one x and red dead?

Actually waiting in a fairly long line to get my RDR at Best Buy. Can’t remember the last time I actually went to one of these. But I am “working” from home tomorrow.😂

Completed it as well the other day and got the same hot deal. Thanks for the heads up as it wasn't promoted on the main page for me.

yeah I only found it because I was thinking of cashing in some points on a gift card, was no notification besides looking at the set a rewards page

I redeemed the hot deal and they emailed it as a code which is great as I'll be playing RDR2 for the foreseeable future. It didn't list any expiration date for redeeming either.

Just picked up my RDR2 from the Gamestop deal.  Installing now - 84.5 GB from disc (2 discs!) and 3.65 GB download patch.  I haven't gotten a game at launch in quite a while, and I wasn't even originally intending to get this one, until the great upgrade deal came out!

YMMV but people on Reddit are reporting that the $100 off any Xbox w/ RDR2 is stacking with the trade-in towards an X at GS.

Meaning $250 credit for a One S + $100 off brings the out of pocket cost of the X1X to $150, plus RDR2, for a total of $210 plus tax. Or $260 for trading in a VCR model. Pretty insane,

Yup, just did it, totally works and Gamestop is OK with it. You also get State of Decay 2 digital code along with the X1X and RDR2.

hmm since everyone has been saying 106 gbs for all Xbox versions, I wonder what the deal is

In fact 88.1 gigs adding it up is the exact amount of my digital pre-load, so looking at another 18 gigs here it seems like

This 2-disc install sucks.  I wish they would have made it 1 disc and just let me download the other 40GB, it would have been much faster.  But I have good Internet and no bandwidth cap, I know not everyone is so fortunate.

My RDR2 disc also came with a big foldout map, and a digital code for "The War Horse and the Outlaw Survival Kit".

one is a lot more convenient than the other in both cases that's for sure
Yes, but it ain't all about the instant "euphoria." Others like the feel of the disc in their hand, inserting it into the hard drive, hearing the whirl of the game starting up, then the thrill of seeing the menu screen pop u......not all things need to happen digitally is all I'm saying ;)

I have a girl. No problems there multiple times a week the "natural" way laddie.

Anyways, I'm just joshing around. If the majority wants to go absolutely digital for the convenience, fine by me. I love owning the disc & having the ability to trade the game in if it goes the Destiny 2 route or even Aliens: Colonial Marines. If it's def worth owning digitally for the convenience, I'll get the game once its proven itself(all puns aside)
