Some notes
  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold.  You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.
  • On Xbox 360, you must have at least a 1 month Gold subscription for sales and Games with Gold.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

Wait. They reset on Tuesday right? There was 4 NASCARs when I looked then and none were FE afaik

Thanks, Bloomy. I wish it were one of the other FE's I didn't already have. I still have15 to get. The other 18 regs I can buy but I want to get them by leveling up but all I'm getting are dupes.

Anyone know why Fight Night Champion is free to install on Xbox One?  It doesn't show up on the PC or mobile store as free to install, only on the store on Xbox One. Possible glitch or just a free to play weekend?

I remember watching a promo during last Saturday UFC PPV where if you buy UFC 3 you get a free copy of fight night champion.

Did they put Hitman the 1st season back into a paywall? I paid for the gold ed when it first came out, beat the crap out of it, and now want to go back before playing season 2. Everything says I own season 1 but when I hit play it routes me to the store to buy the goty ed. I tried the prelude of season 2 and still get the same result.
Everything is such a mess with it in the store I wouldn't be surprised, maybe try to get them from "manage my game and apps". To get the Hitman 1 levels into Hitman 2 I basically had to wipe both installs, start from scratch and re download them in piece by piece.

Below is very cool. Be sure to play with a receiver or headphones. Great sound. I didn’t realize it was a rogue like though. Got killed in a trap and...yeah starting again!
Yeah my guess is 99% of first deaths are that and concur has minimal music but the soundscape is awesome

Yeah, there's a post in the forums about those NASCAR ones from the other day. The current freebies are the 90s/00s set that were apparently up for a vote in today's live stream. Don't know whether they'll finish the week out with these or switch back. I hopped on FM7 tonight to do the weekly events that end tomorrow and checked the dealer for the first time this week. Guess I might need to start checking on Tuesdays so I can get the cars ASAP.

Really, this is the absolute last thing Bethesda should be focusing on currently. It would be bad enough if it were only cosmetic items in these lunchboxes, but if there are Perks and gameplay affecting modifiers the player-base is going to go ballistic. Carry weight and XP boosters would be especially upsetting to players, they've nerfed a lot of late game XP sources, and carry weight has been an issue the entire time, not to mention they went out of their way to fix exploits related to both of these while there are still hundred of other bugs and issues.
I saw a post yesterday on reddit where someone had killed what they said was the hardest enemy in the game and their reward was a small amount of ammo you can find anywhere. Don't know how legit it was, and I know loot drops supposed to be patched and I'm not sure if it was before the patch but putting in a system where you could potentially buy high end weapons when you don't earn anything close to it is not going to help with how upset people are.

Odd, thanks for the link.

I hate games with achievements that don't end in 5 or 0. My sister-in-law flew in, and I started up Overcooked for something fun we could all play. It screwed up my number with its stupid 1 point achievement (I forgot to check its list in advance), so I bought Threes just so I could fix it quickly. I don't have the time or patience to 3 star every kitchen to even it out that way. OCD kind of sucks.
Be careful with Ashen, then...

There are 20 achievements worth 17G each
That'll be one I'll never buy then. I also skipped buying Mad Max when it was on sale because of this. And TBH, it'd probably have just sat in my backlog anyway as it wasn't a game I was super excited about.
Imagine not buying a game because of some meaningless achievement point number. lol Gee whiz, are you nervous someone is going to judge you because because it's an uneven number? Enjoy life!
Nope. Not nervous about that. The last sentence of my first post explains why it bothers me.

TA 12 Days of Christmas
Day 12

Twelve Letter Counting
Unlock 12 achievements with names containing exactly twelve alphanumeric characters, ignoring punctuation and spaces.

Hoo boy. I wasn’t expecting that one.

You have until the end of December 31st to complete the challenges.

QUBE2 is one of the best games with gold games ive ever played.  Seriously,  I found it to be the best puzzle based game ive ever played and ive plays alot of them.  I liked it even more then portal 1,2.

I was having this issue the other night on PS4. I think you need to go into Hitman 1 and search around for the option to upgrade the the GOTY Legacy edition. That took me to the PS4 store where it gave me the option to download the levels.
Yeah I went into options in Hitman 2 and asked to download the upgrade. When I clicked it it asked for $17.99. Tried launching Hitman 1 and all the levels were red, asking me to again pay $17.99. I'll try deleting the game and re-download everything.

Just a reminder today is last day to get that 30% off Microsoft Gift Card on Microsoft Rewards. Remember it's not under the usual category, but the light blue and snowy tile.

Thanks. I was wondering when that ended. I have just enough points for one more gift card.

Kilgore is the free fighter in Killer Instinct this week. He's in Season 3, so never was included in the first seasons that were freebies via GWG.

Count me as one of the people that needs to obsessively have their gamerscore end in 0 or 5. So when I played Overcooked and that 1 point achievement popped, I grimaced. Luckily I remembered I bought Three's a while back when it was on sale, so I fired that up & now the gamerscore is "back to normal" for me

Subnautica for PC is free from the Epic Games store to promote their attempt to take on Steam. Super Meat Boy will be free on Dec 28.

Currently at 3,003 points after completing today's activities. Nothing I really want to throw down for on the XB1, and unfortunately buying 360 stuff doesn't reward points. Not that Panzer Dragoon Orta would net 500 points.

The $35.99 for 12 months of Gold through the dashboard is probably as good a deal as possible right now right? I guess with the credit I have it's probably no contest.

With TRU dead and my final ExpertZone offering being for GamePass instead this is the first time I've had to buy Gold in several years.

Thanks hadn't seen that my gold runs out in February so I may jump on that

Really enjoying Fortune Island. 3 starred all the PR stuff minus Trailblazer (haven't really messed with them yet) already. Nothing seems too challenging and far easier to complete than say Blizzard Mountain by virtue of just being less of them and nothing really tricky.

Played some last night an hour or so this morning. Found all the roads and did the first
3 riddles (Still have to find the 3rd treasure chest).
Haven't done too much else yet so far. A couple races and two Trailblazers.

Just a tip for you or anyone else really. Unlike Blizzard mountain logging off won't restart you on Fortune Island when you log back on unless you make the Festival location there your active home.

Did that this morning. When I exited the festival there this morning it asked me if I wanted to set it as home. I said no without even thinking. I went back in and set it to my home. Was annoying this morning starting back up in the main land and having to fast travel and reload the Island.

Still deciding whether to finish the achievements in the main game before starting the DLC. Just need the Goliath achievement, but need to grind road racing from L18 to L20 to unlock it. Been doing runs of the Colossus, since that seems to be the best option outside of creating a route. It seems people get more influence running a car with a 200% banked skill perk than an event influence perk, though I never bank too many points while racing, so I've been using an event influence FE car that also has event / road racing influence perks. Maybe if I ran with a lower class car and lowered the drivatar difficulty to get a lead and concentrate on skills vs. trying to fight off the AI.

The devs seem to have lessened the overall achievement requirements with each iteration since 2. To complete 2, you had 168 championships of 3-5 races each, plus driving to and from the festival between each one. For FH3, you had 63 routes each with an exhibition and a 3-5 race championship. For FH4, I think I popped each of the level 10 achievements without needing to race at all of the routes, except for the drag racing one. Though I did gain some levels from seasonal championships. It's almost like they decided, "The game's fun enough that people will want to continue playing it well after completing the achievements." The Forzathon events and holding back on some of the cars also keeps people coming back.

I haven't unlocked enough in FH2's Storm Island to know how that compares to Blizzard Mountain or Hot Wheels, but it wouldn't surprise me if Fortune Island would be easier to complete based on the track record of the main games.

I haven't unlocked enough in FH2's Storm Island to know how that compares to Blizzard Mountain or Hot Wheels, but it wouldn't surprise me if Fortune Island would be easier to complete based on the track record of the main games.
I just ran blueprinted Holyrood in a FE event car at 10 laps clips (~11 mins) and got my levels pretty quick.

As for Storm island, the only really hard thing for completion was a few of the bucket list items and then you had to do them co-op which meant no rewinds.

I have been stuck at 18.5 or so for weeks. Was hoping as I played Fortune Island there would be enough Road Racing events it would get me pretty close to level 20 by just playing the DLC related events. I got up to 17 pretty quickly but hit a wall since.

Snowflake Boomshot and Gearsmas Lancer appear to be today's Gearsmas goodies.

I still need to do the co-op bucket list stuff in FH2 in both the main game and Storm Island. And I have no idea what they were thinking with the co-op stuff in FH3. I could never seem to start up a co-op session on my own, though I've joined sessions with just the leader. Don't know how that works, but would've been nice for some of the co-op Forzathon challenges.

I never did them in 2, hit me up whenever and we can mess around with the BL items if you want. I 100%'d 3 but my buddy set up most of our co-stuff but I can monkey around with that as well if needed.

Trailblazer stuff isn't too bad either, just need to 3 star one more to be done and I missed it by like 2 seconds. The Peel Trailblazer achievement looks hard but isn't. I grabbed the A class Achievement tune at the festival and just abused rewind once I got to the tree area,

I just helped someone with this weeks FH3 co-op challenge for the weekly forzathon there. If you need help in FH2 or FH3 feel free to message me.

The $35.99 for 12 months of Gold through the dashboard is probably as good a deal as possible right now right? I guess with the credit I have it's probably no contest.

With TRU dead and my final ExpertZone offering being for GamePass instead this is the first time I've had to buy Gold in several years.
Where are you seeing this? Hold renewal for me is $60... Is it targeted?

I saw the following movies and will keep it short:

The Mule - I enjoyed it. No action scenes at all.

Spiderman - Good movie. Stay for the after credits scene.

Looks like Discord is trying to jump on the train for increased developer revenue splits. The best yet at a 90/10 split. I'm not sure how much ground they'll be able to gain with it as it seems like people are pretty hesitant to even bother, even more so than the usual non-Steam bias. The split that they and Epic are giving is great of indie devs and even some of the midsize or smaller publishers, but I don't know if even 90% will stop the biggest companies from wanting 100% profits from their own platform. I guess it depends how much R&D and upkeep really costs.

Anyways, I'm curious if all these revenue sharing profits will trickle down in some way to consoles. It seems unlikely since they're all closed marketplaces, like the Apple store that Epic is still playing ball with on iPhones, but maybe if enough noise is made, especially since we have to pay the platform holders extra to use 95% of online features.

Apparently Amazon shut down the Twitch market place back on the 27th. I didn't even hear about this shut down until today so I guess that says a lot about how successful it was.
