Some notes
  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold.  You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.
  • On Xbox 360, you must have at least a 1 month Gold subscription for sales and Games with Gold.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

Thanks to Masters_93, I will now be fortniting on iOS.

Will pay it forward to other CAGs in our thread.

I have a $500,000 GTA card code if someone wants it.

I live about an hour south of Charlottesville and a little over an hour east of Blacksburg, so I'm surrounded by UVA and Virginia Tech lovers through and through. I'm a Duke fan so I don't care but it's hilarious when they try to argue who had the worst loss whether it be in football where Tech reigns supreme or basketball where UVA has been good the last few years.

I do think nothing comes close to the ACC as evidenced by them getting so many teams in the tournament, but when most all of them shit the bed so early it brings out the haters.

Do not play so many me via game pass that game is challenging and freakishly hard without a guide if going for 1000gs.So many times I've sweared at the tv while playing that fucking game mainly during boss battles.

that was games with gold so everyone probably has it anyway, but yeah I didn't enjoy it

Superhot is a pretty cool game but the "story mode" is really short. I expect the bulk of gameplay revolves around challenges and endless mode though. It is pretty fun.

Since majority of us be nerds here who be seeing Pacific Rim 2, I thought some of ya'll be interested in this.

Got a 3D morning IMAX ticket for about $5.

why pay for a ticket when you can watch the whole movie in a 3 minute trailer on youtube?

Got a ticket for Saturday, my theater of choice (4DX) didn't have showtimes up for next week so here's hoping this one isn't a fake IMAX. I wish tickets were that cheap around here, $12 for IMAX3D (late show so I don't have to pay for parking).

Hmm, had never heard of this game until this morning, but it's coming out on xbox one next week:

The Count Lucanor

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mfXc6O3fONc

Really digging the style.  I dont usually buy games at full price, but this one really has me intrigued.

I wish more games did early adopter sales to encourage quick buys.  Hand of Fate 2 came out at 10 percent off for the first week or so, which made me feel good about buying it day 1.  Even a 5 percent launch sale here would probably push me from a "maybe" to a "yes."

Funny how saving 75 cents would impact my decision...

SUPERHOT is the most innovative shooter I've played in years.

I finished the story mode in one sitting game and was surprised by how short it was. There are a ton of challenges though that are fun. I'm thinking about not doing all the challenges until I can get the
PSVR
version of the game.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think the VR and regular versions of Superhot are different. I don't think you control the running in the VR game

Started playing The Walking Dead Survivor Instinct on 360 last night because I'm so up to date on gaming. Currently hating it.

There's no save/checkpoints in a level auto or manual. Just autosaves at the end of a level. None of the stealth tactics seem effective. The walkers spawn continuously, so you can't clear any areas out for sure. Invisible walkers jump you when they're not even present on screen or anywhere detectable in game, so you can't plan alternate routes or attack tactics.

I have enjoyed other stealth type games such as those in the hitman series, but this seems ridiculous. Not quitting on this game but ...

Hopefully this game gets released on Xbox:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FSIEUUXF0sI
I would love to see more true survival-horror games made.

But they need to change the title; no way Capcom would let that come to market as-is.

Do what Shinji Mikami and Bethesda did with their franchise: take the most important, genre-recognizable word - Evil - and then pair it with something interesting ("Evil Within"). Audiences will know what you're going for, and you can simultaneously differentiate yourself. ("Within" is a dead giveaway that there is something psychological involved - which sounds compelling.)

That’s a notoriously terrible game.

Got screwed with some achievements in the GTACS and need to redo 4 letters.  Had gotten through TRUE and then popped A and C in Ms. Pac-Man BC on XB1.  Somehow I was temporarily offline with no indication when those achievements were unlocked, and went on to unlock H and I.  When I checked TA later, it had the H and I but no A or C.  Checked Xbox site, Ms. Pac-Man achievements weren't there, either.  Fired up the game and the achievements were unlocked, but not time stamped.  They show up now on my online profile, timestamped 1/1/1753.  Glad I didn't push for more this afternoon.

Still need 3 wins in Luck of the Draw in Gears for the weekend event skins.

GTA V and EA (Battlefield 1, Battlefront II, DA:I, PvZ GW2, Titanfall 2, sports) counting down to date night.  Includes Fe, which just released last month.

you might be able to rebuild your list on TA, think there is a button or something. Unlocks were wonky the last week on both Xbox 360 and One

I've only been into looking for game deals a short time and that's all it took to see they don't mix it up good at all. Most of the stuff listed I've seen in their sales the last 5-6 weeks.

And I remember them putting up BF1 for $13, then the next two times putting it on sale for $20. *balks*

A casual wonders whos running the show, these sales are hurting.

I don't think anything can be done because they aren't time stamped in the Xbox ecosystem. Just going to have to unlock more. Will check to make sure they're time stamped on the web site before moving on to the next, though.

achievements still seem to be wonky, unlocked an achievement in a BC game and my gamerscore in the BC menu shows the achievement unlocked but the xbone menu does not, MS needs to get this shit figured out

quick question if I buy star wars on Xbox it wouldn't qualify for the movies anywhere would it? I wanna get the 4k version since it's on Xbox but I want it on my other streaming services too.

Not right now, but a link was posted to an article about MS and MA in talks to join forces again. So, soon® maybe.

Speaking of GTA V...while watching walking dead last night I was telling my wife how much that one guy looks and acts like Trevor. Just finally found out that it’s the same dude. Yes, I live in a cave.

Is this just a BC problem? I got back from vacation saturday and have earned like 10 achievements no problem in a non BC game.

Speaking of TWD, I’m now four episodes behind. Yeah, it’s gotten to the point where I care that much about it.

Thats blows they have been working fine for me BC and all. I would be pissssssssssssssed if some of the ones I got didn't count

Maybe TA just hates you, because they are jealous you post here and not there

If you have Iphone the solitaire game on there has acheivements and most of them are quite easy.

You're not missing anything. I laughed out loud a couple times last night. It's gotten so silly. Simon and Dwight are terrible actors.

You know what game wasn’t horrible? Brave. Decided to play it for some random reason this weekend. it wasn’t bad if you’re looking for something easy as a change of pace.
It’s a lot of right stick shooting with very little aiming needed. Light platforming & a few puzzles that are almost too easy. Also got 900 GS in about 7 hours. Just missing the last achievement that gives you 100 gamer score for playing on the highest difficulty. I think I will let that one go.

Does Brave require Kinect inorder to play it? I was under the impression that it did.

Thinking about getting a bigger monitor, wondering if anyone would weigh in on the one I'm looking at.

I currently have my X1 hooked up to a 25.5inch monitor which shares with a crappy desktop for grad school. My living situation doesn't really accommodate a large living room setup, so I just play games at my computer desk in my room. I mostly want a larger screen with IPS since the viewing angle isn't great for other spots when I have company. So, I'm mainly concerned with screen real estate, and have no intention of upgrading to 4k anything any time soon.

Looking at this one:

It's large enough that it has a built-in dual screen setting for PC work, which is also very appealing since I write a lot of research papers.

They don't make Kinect required games backwards compatible.
Cool good to know! I'm going for the completion so I'm starting on Brave difficulty. I hear that the checkpoints are really forgivable so it shouldn't be too bad. Game is not too bad so far. Should be a relatively quick 1000.

If you're going cheap might as well go with this one and save another $25, basically the same thing

It's not that bad at all, I'm on the last level now but the TA thing has me playing other stuff ATM. Make sure you power up the bow as the sword is basically useless later in the game, you have to keep your distance cause one or two hits and you're done. Yeah the checkpoints are super forgiving as is falling off an edge. You're never more than a minute or 2 from where you were.

Well dang, the one I linked was $206 when I was viewing it. Looks like the main difference between those models is the split screen mode, which is probably worth an extra $25 to me.
They both have split screen 2.0 and I think the cheaper one is actually a little nicer? But Idk, I dont want to get blamed if it comes in and is terrible :whistle2:#

Yep, didn't notice that, but you're right. The $225 one has way more reviews, which was my initial draw. If the price drops down again I may just go with it, I'm not in a huge hurry.

According to Ubisoft club assassin's creed rogue remastered comes out tomorrow but it looks like it's not even up on the store for digital purchase yet. Don't know if I'll get it immediately since I'm not even half way done with far cry primal and I'll want to play FC5 before AC:R since I already beat it on 360. I haven't seen anything about price but I'm hoping for $20 initially since ezio collection was $60 for 3 games but guessing it will be $30 like stick of truth.

It is so odd that that SoT is $30 digitally, because everywhere I've looked the disc version is $20 and I'm not aware of any price drop for the game.
