Think they meant June 1st to be the cut-off date for everybody. They must be doing few accounts at a time, so do not expect it to last longer. If you have enough to redeem and would like a code emailed, for whatever reasons, do it now.

 
I picked up god of war to play on my new ps4 pro and the sales guy said I should play god of war 3 remastered first for some story tie in info. I said thanks for the heads up I own that in my backlog already and plan on playing gears 4 tonight. For what its worth.

Speaking of... which is the best of the old Star Wars games? I remember playing a fun one on my N64, but haven't played any of the Xbox ones. Do they have actual campaigns?

You know what. God of War is great and I’m enjoying it so far but my favorite game this week? That would be Panzer Dragoon Orta. I’m just sooooo happy to have that game back and looking gorgeous. It rightfully belongs in my top games of all time and holds up the best of all the OG Xbox BC games IMO.
 
PUBG free weekend. Trying the game for the first time and it was fun. I suck at MP shooters, and thankfully my friend carried me a bit, but it was more enjoyable than I thought it would be

2/4 I have interest in, not bad.

Who still plays Monster Hunter? I'm HR 47 and have only done single player so far. I want to do the new 16 player event, but I'm nervous to do multi.
 
Have Phantom Pain physical and bought Vanquish digital right when it went BC (which wasn’t all that long ago). But don’t have the other two. Pretty solid month. Vanquish is an awesome game.

Since when do they announce this stuff on a Saturday?

Also, have some BB certs and was thinking of picking up BLOPS 3 with the Zombie Chronicles expansion since it’s on sale for $32 and that version never seems to go lower.

Kind of weird to say but I never played BLOPS 3 but love the Zombie stuff and nice to have all the original maps. Do people still play it? And is the campaign as bad as many people made it out to be?

Yeah, more time for other things now since we don't have to get more points from week to week hehe. I could have used a bonus in the morning since I knew it was probably hard to stay above the line and I also knew work was keeping me busy this day...Could have been going on for a few more weeks I guess on the other hand it was really going to be a pain to keep up..more than 2000 TA every week and most time spent with work...nah. Also haven't had the time to watch any series since the challenge began lol. And yeah was plowing through Pneuma, and I kinda liked it. Has no replayability value though.

I'm kinda mad...Iw as there through the trivia question thing when the first question showed up (with Dizzy as answer) my browser was acting up, when I rejoined the stream about 3 minutes later the question was gone and question 2 was already there..so no megapack for me hrm...


On another note I just got Griffin through the challenge in less than 2 hours. Wondering why they didn't give things away through challenges before...way easier to keep track and actually get the reward.

 
Yeah, Phantom Pain's been removed, then Ground Zeroes - a 2-hour prologue - was added to Game Pass. If you can, you should absolutely play Ground Zeroes first since Phantom Pain picks up directly after that.

Not only that, but the ending of Ground Zeroes and beginning of Phantom Pain are easily two of the most cinematic and exciting moments for the final Metal Gear Solid installment. The rest of the game is surprisingly devoid of cutscenes, traditionally a series staple.

Game Pass has been a bust for me. Played SoT for a bit, but got bored as shit. Downloaded Cities and ReCore and haven't played either yet. Meh. Back to Fortnite.

 
I didn't see it posted, but Bing has double searches going on now - you can earn 300 points for PC searches instead of the usual 150.

FYI, you can just do PC searches on your Xbox One. Just log into your account with the Microsoft Edge browser app. It even counts for the 20 points Edge bonus, which is recent on console. Doing it on your Xbox is handy when you don't want to turn on your computer or in between games.

I didn't pay a dime to buy it, although I did spend a little at redbox to get some trade ins, that paid for the stone mason edition in full. God of war 3 got beat in just under 8 hours, so it was just a speed bump in the backlog.

Sucks about missing the pack. I don't think they were up for quite 10 minutes (I think the 2nd was up for closer to 8 than 10). Then there were the people complaining in the stream that they didn't realize they had to click submit in the quests tab after answering each question to be able to answer subsequent ones. Or the flurry of posts when the stream is about to end and people need X minutes to complete the weapon quest.

The devs said they had trouble getting challenges to work with the game, since they didn't have them implemented before release. No excuse there except poor planning. They also didn't implement proper achievement tracking for everything in Gears 4 (e.g., the war journal tracks the ribbons unlocked, but achievement tracking doesn't). They at least made some progress there, since some achievements do have tracking while I don't think any did in Gears Ultimate Edition.

 
A big Halo Online El Dewrito update released yesterday. I didn't think to download it yesterday but I'll be checking it out after work tonight. The backstory on this is long but basically this is a heavily modded version of the Russia-only F2P Halo Online that has slowly been removing all the junk added and essentially reverting it to Halo 3's multiplayer for PC. The new update made huge steps in this regard so all of the weird UI and ability changes are gone, and we essentially have Halo 3 on PC, with a server browser and a massively supercharged Forge. I played it a while back and had fun, so I assume it's only better. System requirements aren't that high, and it has full controller support now.

Definitely worth checking out if you like the Bungie Halo games, and the download is under 2 gigs. There were over 3000 players on last night, so I think their servers were having issues, but I think it was only affecting their official servers and not the customs people set up. I'm hoping MS continues to ignore them, but I think the hammer will come down eventually. This is the most traction it's gotten yet.

Started kingdom new lands last night and got to day 8 but after day 5 or 6 I no longer was finding chests that contained munny or my villagers stopped giving me munnny.Can someone who has played this tell me how to make munny?
 
MGS5 got a Pro patch shortly after PS+

Amazing month for GWG. You get the third highest rated X1 game (MGS5 according to MC), most likely the best baseball game, a classic collection of Sega's best beat em up series AND the Amazing Vanquish.

Of course I bought MGSV used during the #fuckKonami movement and digitally for a friend at $10. Now it goes GWG. Figures.

A big Halo Online El Dewrito update released yesterday. I didn't think to download it yesterday but I'll be checking it out after work tonight. The backstory on this is long but basically this is a heavily modded version of the Russia-only F2P Halo Online that has slowly been removing all the junk added and essentially reverting it to Halo 3's multiplayer for PC. The new update made huge steps in this regard so all of the weird UI and ability changes are gone, and we essentially have Halo 3 on PC, with a server browser and a massively supercharged Forge. I played it a while back and had fun, so I assume it's only better. System requirements aren't that high, and it has full controller support now.

thanks for sharing this! although i won't be using it myself, it's really interesting. I wonder if my bootcamp'd 2012 MacBook Pro could run it.
