Some notes
  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold.  You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.
  • On Xbox 360, you must have at least a 1 month Gold subscription for sales and Games with Gold.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

It's $30 on Amazon, which is a lot of content for the price, but since I'v already played 90% of it, I think $20 is my limit.

Given the lukewarm reception of D2, I can imagine they don't want to promote the original at the expense of the sequel. Still think all the original content should be available in D2.
If it was digital I would be all over it. But I'd have to buy two copies to play with my girlfriend, negating all the savings. I haven't gone out of my way to look at D2, but I've read enough complaints in my normal browsing to make me hesitate to just skip the first. So I guess I'll keep waiting. Maybe tackle that backlog. Ha.

Other than Hellblade theres not alot to be excited about in this sale.  I did get ahold of xbox support who granted me a one time refund on my destiny exp pass purchase.  So YMMV on that if you give it a try with customer support.

Really tempted by the Castlevania HD DLC but im afaird it will never be made backwards compatible and it will be another 360 game i spent money to will never play again.

Noticed the Castlevania Harmony of Despair DLC is on sale. Not sure if it's even been before. I may have to buy a few of those even if it wasn't a traditional Castlevania game.

I'd also point out that Resident Evil Code Vernonica X is on sale. I thought I saw earlier in this thread someone claiming it was coming to BC, might be the best time to pick it up before BC Tax. I've owned it for a long time and never played it.....I hear it's decent

Buy List
-Ori and the Blind Forest
-Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2
-Castlevania HD DLC
-Doom + Wolfenstein II Bundle (@GameGirlPocket convinced me)

Maybe List (backlog currently 100+ deep)
-Batman: Return to Arkham (already beat them on 360 but lost the discs)
-Injustice 2 Legendary Edition (successfully encouraged to wait)
-Quantum Break (successfully encouraged to wait)
-Rise of the Tomb Raider (finally hit the sub $20 mark, but again- backlog is currently deep)

-Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom (would like to have everything go digital and put my 360 copy away)

Currently I've been playing MTG Duels and Diablo III Seasons........I really need to allocate some time to clearing that backlog

Are the Castlevania BC?

Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk

Injustice 2 Legendary Edition seems perfect for $15-$20 by November or even by September and I haven't even started Mortal Kombat XL yet so I can for sure wait on that

Injustice 2 is not worth $40 or more at this point, especially digital with no resale value. It's been $40 on several occasions already. Wait for $20 or less...if you were a huge DC fan then you would have it already. So just wait imo

Quantum Break has been $20 multiple times recently. It was even $19.80 this time last year. I'm still waiting myself. Though part of that is just me dreading downloading it. That's over 1/10th of my bandwidth cap for the month. Yes, I know a chunk of it is optional, but I want all the things.

I hear you- I've been holding out on 'Quantum Break' and 'Rise of the Tomb Raider' to hit $15 but I don't know how much longer I'll be waiting. And now with my X1X, I feel okay playing it to take full advantage of the benefits.

I've also just started the Witcher III, so I have no excuse in missing a quality single-player experience

If you want the video files downloaded with the rest of the game, it's about 170 GB.

Anyone play QUBE 2? Know a few of us enjoyed the first one and wondering how the second compares. It's not as big of a discount as I'd like but I'm interested.

I'm currently in the "only hellblade" camp so far. May pick up ruiner, portal pinball fx table and contemplating double dipping with the couple telltale games I don't own on the 360 yet. May just save my credit for fall releases.

Pretty sure QB has hit $15 used at Gamestop, unless you're super committed to digital. For folks concerned about bandwidth, that'd certainly help.

Cannot recommend Doom 2016 enough. WIth the bundle, that's a great price, especially for Wolfenstein II (which i haven't played but have heard is excellent). Otherwise, the Wolfenstein bundle w/ the first game and it's prequel is frequently $15 physical.

Long live the AAA single player FPS!

Man, Destiny 2 & Expansions at $20 is a great price - and it'd look great with my XB1X in HDR - but is it really worth buying now knowing I'd be behind the times in six weeks when the new expansion comes out, especially because people will probably say its "essential" (which is what people said last time with the latter Destiny expansions)...?

Torn between Sniper Elite 4 Deluxe Edition or Fallout 4 season pass. I'm going to assume Sniper Elite 4 is probably the better deal since 70% off and doubtful it'll get cheaper, right?

Whelp we got a real humdinger of a give away this week!

Each expansion used to lock you out of content if you didnt own it. Im assuming thats still case.

Countdown to 2014 sale. $8.64 in savings by waiting 4.5 years to add them to the backlog.

https://majornelson.com/2013/12/19/countdown-to-2014-daily-deal-day-4-castlevania-collection/

I think they might've been on sale at another point, but that's when I bought them.

Wait, Crackdown 2 for 360 is BC?

Has the Xbox One symbol in front of it on page one.
I think Major Nelson had it listed as such last night, which is why it got into my list. Or I just messed up going between his page and my list.

Honestly Wolfenstein The New Order is a better game than New Colossus. Too many cutscenes and the writing for it gave me the impression that the writers were not confident in it.

The grind to max level isn't super long. It's the squeezing your light level ever higher afterwards that's the drag. Also people often say the expansions are essential because Bungie likes to do stupid stuff like lock you out of content you initially had access to until you buy the expansion. Sometimes they backpedal though.

I'm pretty committed to going digital unless it's for GOTY bundles with content on disc. Main reason: I game share with my family back home in northern CA. I think I can wait on QB to hit $15 digital

Sold on the 'Doom' & 'Wolfenstein' bundle. Maybe I'll pick up the first game & it's prequel as well

I'm at work right now thinking about buying Surviving Mars I vaguely remember at one point they had a bonus on the console reward app for purchasing it, would any of you who are home at your console right now be able to look and tell me if the rewards app still has a bonus for it?

Countdown to 2014 sale. $8.64 in savings by waiting 4.5 years to add them to the backlog.

https://majornelson.com/2013/12/19/countdown-to-2014-daily-deal-day-4-castlevania-collection/

I think they might've been on sale at another point, but that's when I bought them.

I think Major Nelson had it listed as such last night, which is why it got into my list. Or I just messed up going between his page and my list.
Thanks Bloomy, this inspired me to go ahead and get all the DLC if there is going to be that big of a gap between sales.

Congrats for your Mom and yourself echotech, so happy to hear the great news!!! Prayers for you and your Mom for excellent health.

I know, that's why I'm dreading it. That month I'll be watching my bandwidth like a hawk. Like I said, I want all the things.
I am pretty sure you can split it up. So download the game this month. Then in a couple weeks when it is August download the video? If you are like everyone else here you won't play it for months if not years (if at all) anyway. :)

Congrats, echotech83, to you and your mom. Glad to hear everything is on the up and up!

So what's the best way to find a Mixer partnered streamer for that credit? I think it's still going on. I tried searching for Hellblade, LIS: BTS, and Tacoma, but didn't see any for those.

Yay for echotech83’s moms recovery.

I’m always surprised how amazing people are on this forum
Yay indeed! I too am surprised at the people here. Most of the internet is not like this.

Really? I had no idea. That will definitely make it more manageable. I'll try not to make it years. :p
