Our last batch of Original Xbox and Xbox One X Enhanced titles was April 10th.

Is it greedy to want more games announced for GamesCom?

 
Went back to Splinter Cell Blacklist to complete the co-op only missions and it was awesome (also got the achievements for getting all the dead drops, laptops and high value targets). Now I'm gonna try and beat the game on Perfectionist.

Who upgrades from SD to HD? MoviesAnywhere? I'll have to check my copy of Elf.

Also, just a reminder for MA users that itunes is often the best place to redeem HD codes because itunes offers 4k upgrades for HD codes for lots of movies. I redeemed Deadpool and Jurassic World there and they both got 4k upgrades. Problem is I had scanned the Jurassic World receipt into Savings Catcher and automatically loaded Jurassic World into Vudu first so that copy is in my MA. itunes isn't linked yet. Just got off chat with MA and they don't think it's possible to remove the HD copy and move in the 4k copy. I'm not getting an appletv so I may just have to settle for HD on that one.

Also totally OT, but I joined the TCL masses on cord cutting day with the $100 off at Amazon for using Amex points. Loving that 2018 6 series. Haven't noticed any issues yet, but is there something specific I should look for? Do the multitudes of CAGs who have them have a place to discuss them. Any recommended settings? Really need to get an X now. How is it as a 4k media player? I've read some people have had issues using it as a 4k blu ray player.

Hell yeah, I really liked that game and even got the DLC on PS3, also seems I already bought it on some sale since I had it ready to install, or maybe it was GWG at some point, either way great BC week for me as I also like SIne Mora :bouncy:

I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure that those HD movie codes that redeem in 4K on iTunes will only port over to Movies Anywhere in HD.

If you redeem an HD code on iTunes that is already 4K then it will port to MA as 4K. But if the movie is HD when you redeem and goes 4K later, you only get the upgrade in iTunes because it doesn’t get resent to MA.

I WAS HOPING YOU WOULD BRING THIS UP!

I'm super bummed because I don't think she got the acting chops. I love my Batwoman. The last few years I have been annually rereading all her stuff and dreaming she would be played by Rhea Seehorn and we could get Dascha Polanco as Renee Montoya.

I finally think my Xbox is dying. It's a fatty VCR doe, so it's probably doing me a favor.

That casting is too fucking good to be relegated to angsty storylines that end with forced crossover with CW's B star players at the middle and end of each season.

yes you can. i tested it for you by going to checkout for that item and it lets me select partial payment with my MS account balance (from xbox gift cards).

 
I'm hoping there's some people here with 4K screen experience... Not a member of any tech-specific forums. I'm having a hard time describing the issue in the these pics, and that's the first step in determining what the issue is.

Over the last few months, more and more little 'cracks' of light have begun spreading on the bottom of the screen. It's most visible on screens with bold single color, but does distract during dark scenes of films and games as well.

The screen is about 18 months old. The patch on the far right has been there since the beginning. This was the second screen I requested and I just settled with a slight discount from Amazon for the issue. It appeared to be slight light bleed. Now there's so many more though, and these appear brighter on one side of the 'line' than others.

Like Bloomy said, no precedent for that happening. I wouldn’t even count on another sale at this point. FH1 and FM5 had their dlc go on sale for a week around the time they went GWG, and then they dropped the delisting news after the sale expired.

Fool me once, etc etc etc...

Yeah I was gonna say just go ahead and buy it because one never knows. I almost made the mistake of passing on FH2 Ultimate Edition while it was on sale during E3. I made sure I picked up the Complete Add-ons Collection and all free DLC car packs for it. I recently bought the pre-order car pack for $4 just to be on the safe side.

I’m no tv expert, but to me it looks like someone has been pressing on the screen. Maybe it was pressed on a long time ago and the heat from using the tv slowly made the picture distorted? I work in ultrasound at a hospital and Drs are always pressing on screens with their pens to point out certain things, and all of our LCD monitors have those “light bleeds” at certain areas. Hope you find the answer.

it looks like the frame/bezel is separating from the display panel.

I’m no tv expert, but to me it looks like someone has been pressing on the screen. Maybe it was pressed on a long time ago and the heat from using the tv slowly made the picture distorted? I work in ultrasound at a hospital and Drs are always pressing on screens with their pens to point out certain things, and all of our LCD monitors have those “light bleeds” at certain areas. Hope you find the answer.

i think you're referring to the distortion caused when the photo was taken and that's normal. he's not talking about a problem with the TV's image.

I'm not a big fan of Ubisoft in general but their support of the BC program has been excellent. Hoping this means we see even more Prince of Persia titles. and eventually the other Tom Clancy titles.

It's not greedy at all. I've been disappointed by the lack of Original XBox and 360 X enhanced titles. Hoping either at Gamescom or worst case scenario a holiday drop.

As others have said, it hasn't happened before. The best deal was when FM3 DLC went about 90% off for each item a few days before being delisted and then it just disappeared without warning. I think only FH1 got an actual warning ahead of time. It's usually in September as FH1 was delisted the 25ish and FM5 was delisted on Sep 30th. That gives a little time for another sale, but I doubt it will get any better than what there was last week for the complete and what there is now. FM4 never got a sale (most items only got one sale or two max in FM4's lifetime) while the ones after got a sale near delisting, but at least one didn't even match the usual lowest price. If you have no interest in all the cars or getting all the achievements, get Storm Island because its a great expansion for $5. If you want all achievements get the porsche pack too, hopefully on sale. If you are interested in the cars you want the complete pack.

 
My wife wanted to play Overcooked 2 online tonight, it seems to be pretty dead. We are almost done with the campaign, we are on 5-5 and have 3 stars on every level we have beat. That means we have 8 levels left and a final boss fight. We are both a little dissapointed at how few levels are in the campaign. I thought this one would be a lot bigger then the first game. It's super fun so don't get me wrong, if you liked the first one you will like the gameplay.

I would be ticked if we had bought it for $40 on Switch and not $21 on Xbox.

They made lots of quality of life improvements, you can get pizza out of the oven while holding a plate now. Throwing raw ingredients becomes useful.

There was a problem with black levels, but that was patched some time ago. Apparently they're adding Dolby Vision HDR for disc media soon, but not sure how that works.

Before Fortnite became so damn popular, they didn't really have a reason to, because people still bought it and it was the top game on streaming channels. At least, it seems like having competition may have contributed. If people will buy a buggy, unfinished game for $30 and rave about it, where's the motivation otherwise?

I Think a timeline with free shit as opposed to publicly announcing "HEY! OUR GAME IS STILL HELLA BROKEN!" after announcing an event pass about a month earlier for a game people are already paying for would've been the better decision? Maybe? And they really didn't see the tide of coming battle royale games like legit months in advance and think "hey, maybe now is the time we step it up" as opposed to just two months away from the start of the big holiday purchasing gaming season? I Just can't get over how there seemed to be so many ways to better go about this as opposed to letting every gaming outlet know "Hey! This game is still broken!"

They were making money hand over fist, why fix what's broken if people don't care? Along with competition from Fortnite, their customer base is probably almost saturated / sales have slowed down and QOL changes are going to be necessary to bring new people in / keep players interested.

Thanks to tribalnoise for finding this out for me.

As it turns out, I wanted to buy the Sports White Xbox one controller for $59.99 from MS store, since all other stores had it for $69.99, but Antonline is now selling it for $59.99 on eBay, and there is a 15% coupon today.

So I contact support and they are aware of the issue. Hopefully they will resolve the issue soon.

PUBG seems to be the version of a Battle Royal game to play if you dont want to deal with the building aspects of Fortnite.  I dont have any interest in playing Fortnite because i dont want to try to learn the building mechanics while also trying not to get shot by 99 other people.  I would rather play PUBG but im cheap/poor so not paying 30 bucks for it.

Thanks for the answer. I didn’t know there were significant differences between Fortnite and PUBG. I was thinking “why are people paying for a buggy game when it’s closest competition is free?”

In addition, PUBG is more "realistic" while Fortnite is more "fantastical." In the latter, you can bunny hop while spamming your shotgun, you can ride missiles, you can jump on platforms that will launch you a good distance across the map, you can throw potions that will force your enemies to dance, etc. Meanwhile PUBG is more consistent with the real laws of physics.
