Some notes
  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold.  You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.
  • On Xbox 360, you must have at least a 1 month Gold subscription for sales and Games with Gold.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

Those of you still following the IGN drama: there are dozens more plagiarism examples from that Fillip guy, and apparently even his resume is plagiarized from a template almost word for word. I'm dying.

I find the Miucin draman far more entertaining than the James Gunn shit. Granted, I don't give a rat's ass about either of them, but the plagiarism thing has at least given me a few laughs here and there (especially every time someone tries to make Jason Schrier look like the Bob Woodward or Carl Bernstein of gaming journalism).

In other matters, was TR Anniversary originally DLC for Legend and was later re-released as a standalone game or the DLC was simply titled "Anniversary" as well?

EDIT: Looked it up and I guess that was the case.

Thank you to everyone who offered up their opinions on the One X.  It really helped settle the debate in my mind to make the plunge or just stick with what i got.  The trade offer is great and now is a good time to do so if you want one but for me it sounds like I would be better off just waiting for the next gen.  Financially now is not the right time to bring home a new console that is better but not wholly different from what I have.

I have a serious problem here all and any game time I have I use it on Cod WW2 for both Xbox and ps4.Currently on Xbox I'm master prestige 243 and ps4 on 9th prestige 48.Do not know what it is but I can not stop playing this game.

I Mean, are you having fun? Really so long as you are, you do you.

I don't see that as a problem either. In fact, I would love to be obsessed with a game right now. Everything is so lackluster these days. I remember losing sleep and playing til the break of dawn in Halo 3 and CoD4 back in the day.

Do you have a decent 4K tv?

Do you have the money to get one without it breaking the bank?

Will you feel more fulfilled knowing you have the option to play the best console version?

I have enjoyed mine for the most part, the HDR implementation makes the bigger difference than 4K IMHO. The PS4 Pro I honestly don’t feel a big difference with, like at all, but the one x does feel quite a bit better than the one s.
Even without a 4K tv the games that support it look fantastic due to super sampling. My old Sharp TV from 2011 impressed the hell out of me again after I got the X.

Sooo since we finally have a cart on the marketplace..where is my god damn wishlist?!

Yes!!! Finally a game releases for free I don’t own, so excited!

Edit: Well not free, but you get it. I’ve been frustrated because I own every game in gamepass it feels like, so this is a win for me haha

I wish we got 2 months advance notice. Or even the full month. I won't get to all three games on the list I'm interested in. Oh well.

I thought once we download it we can keep until the console dies?
You keep the downloaded game on your drive, but once it leaves whatever subscription service that let you download/play it to begin with, you will no longer have a license to play the game. So at that point the console will prompt you to purchase the game (see in the store) so you can play it.

No, gamepass games can have their licenses pulled at will by Microsoft just like Netflix pulls movies/shows and puts out new ones. I would expect most that get pulled to return at some point in a rotation fashion depending on licensing agreements with game companies.

I really am especially playing domination on shipment.Seems your words made me feel like I'm not wasting time with just one game so thank you for that.
Do what's fun, but I get how you feel. I played only Gears 1 with a few exceptions from when I got it until CoD4 came out. Then that disc never left the tray until a year later when I bought a used copy of Conan from a Blockbuster sale. Played the whole game thru and it felt good to achieve a completion of a story and then I varied it up a little more. For a long time when i'd finally get to play something I'd just play mp and veg out until I got burnt out of Gears/CoD mp around Judgment/Blops2. Games are meant to be fun, don't overthink it.

I think in an indirect way you and Chandler both answered my question. I can download a gamepass game and keep it forever except it has to be done before it leaves gamepass, and my gamepass sub needs to be active as well.

I think your game pass needs to be active and the game still needs to be included in the current gamepass lineup. I don't think you can save them for later like GWG games that you can play forever as long as your Live is active.

I think the store on console gives notice. I've gone to the Game Pass listings on the console, and a number of them have dates marked months or longer on them. Don't know if they all do, or if any 360 ones do. I haven't found that info baked into the web site, or I'd be able to pull a list together. I can put together a list in the second post of Game Pass games with the dates from the console, and try to keep it up to date.

At least two have returned that I've seen, Lumo and Dark Dreams Don't Die or whatever that game is called that was released unfinished.

Every date I've seen counting down corresponded to the game's one year anniversary of being in the library, so a large number of them all had the same countdown. I assume they were just placeholders. I'll have to look again. They have a tile that is supposed to be visible in the store that lists the games leaving for the current month, but like others I have talked to I don't always have that tile visible. I rarely see it, I think July showed up less than a week before the month ended. I had already found an article listing the games weeks prior to that.

Gears developer stream begins at the top of the hour. The Corp Retro skin will be available, the quest for that will probably go live around 7pm Eastern with a 30 minute watch required.
Bloomy, I know you an Phil are close 'cause he always tells you what games he's gonna put on sale and when he's gonna do streems.

Are you and Reggie friends? If so, can you have 'im put Mario Cart and Mario Tenis on sale, pleaze? He never ever does and it really really really makes me sad.

Sales on first party Nintendo stuff? Whatever you're on, let me take a hit.

at the risk of going off topic, Best Buy has several 1st party Switch games (Mario Kart, Odyssey, Tennis, Zelda BOTW etc) on sale for $45 or $36 with GCU if you don’t want to wait for the digital sale that is never going to happen.

I'm actually curious on how they are going to work this game as a digital sale on the One X, with no VR and local co-op only? Do they bring tablets, mobile phones, pcs into the mix?
Description says you can use a web enabled devices to look at the instructions or just print them out on their website

Big time this. I had and traded in Mario Kart 8 for the Wii U, and the lady doesn’t really like the game too much, but for $37 after in-store pickup and tax, I’m down to add it to my collection. Plus you can do multiplayer and we have 2 pair of Joycon already, and a buddy has it on his system so I have someone I know to do multiplayer with. Now I own 3 games on Switch haha.

It works pretty well, just treat it like the Jackbox games, you can just view the manual on any device or just print it out

Me and the wife played through the first couple sections just now and it's a blast.

The local co-op seems misleading as well. Technically only one person needs the game, obviously if you want to play both roles you would all need a copy, but I don't see what stops you from just joining party chat with someone since one player only uses the manual
