MGS4 had the most egregious installation process until after they patched out MGO. You had a crazy long initial installation, and then when you got to the next act it would have to do another installation. Speaking of installations, I got MW2 installing as I post this.

I bought the 80GB back-compat MGS4 PS3 bundle when I heard that would be the last console with back-compat. Never made it pass that stage of the game. Install for over 20 min, 20 min cut scene, play 5 min, install another 20 min, 20 min cut scene. That just soured me off that console.

I've got a bunch of PS+ games that I get to keep for free thanks to Cross Buy support, which made games like Resogun, Oddworld New 'N Tasty, Hotline Miami, some packs of Zen Pinball/Pinball FX tables, and other stuff free.

To be fair that version of Destiny 2 isn't going to be worthless, but all the focus going forward will be Forsaken expansion. That said PS+ embarrassingly spanked them this month, God of War III remaster was one of the first things I played when the PS4 came out since titles were lacking and it's pretty amazing.

 
Oh, finished Outlast 2 late last night. Quite the experience even though I don't scared easily. There were 3 or 4 jump scares where I turned white and there was one bit with a shadow where I felt a chill down my spine. BUT, I liked that.

The story is all over the place and personally don't like the "you must find every collectible in the game to understand it" yet you can fully grasp what's going on by playing the first game.

Liked the change of scenery from an abandoned asylum with "supernatural" stuff going on to Satanic syphilitic cultists somewhere in Arizona trying to prevent the Apocalypse XD

Took a few cool screenshots as well  :whistle2:

Didn't pick it up when it was like $5 a couple months ago because of this problem. Any idea if the glitched achievement was fixed? Don't think I'd ever 100% it so no as concerned about the achievement as the menu freeze.
 
Just logged into the Forza stream. It let me do all the quests except for the watch 5 minutes and watch 30 minutes. They usually only let you unlock the last one at the end of the stream. Just hoping to win the headphone this stream.

During the earlier stream, that final quest for the Ferrari didn't open until there was about 5 minutes left in the stream. It currently says "Stay tuned" for me, so maybe they disabled it when they realized they had it up early.

 
It supposedly already redeemed for me. Not that I own F7 yet to take advantage of the free cars. But I'll continue watching all the way through. I want to win those headphones.

 
Speaking of Forza, the mobile site for Forza Rewards finally shows details (like how many cars you need to own in a game) and not just the total points you’ve earned. Helpful for anyone needing a last minute level up before Horizon 4 comes out.

Still not sure how often it updates though, it says I have 735 GS in Horizon 2, when my Xbox love profile and TA say I have 1230, which would put me over the top for rewards tier 11.

The web site and Win10 app shows that, too, with a details tab showing your stat progress. Some stats seem to update daily, though I don't know when that occurs, while some are more period, or not at all. I've been trying to do daily logins in FM4, and that seems to be progressing with some other stats, though my gamerscore is behind. Would need to double check my in-game stats for some things, though. For FM3, GS is behind and days haven't tracked in a long time. There have been numerous complaints in the Forza Rewards topic on the official forums, without any replies from the devs. When the Rewards were completely down a couple weeks ago, someone had to link to a Reset Era forum where a dev posted, since they apparently don't use their own forums.

I strongly hope that Intelligent Delivery makes it's way to Gears 4. I play multiplayer semi-regularly but rarely boot up campaign. I feel like it'd be able to cut the install size in half without it.

I also hope The Coalition gets their head out of their ass with Gears 5 and learns what compression is like the rest of the industry generally has. 343 as well, I'll accept 70 gigs for MCC with it's 5 games, but Halo 5 is like a hundred gigs itself.

Just checked mine and the app says I have 685 GS but I have 1165. Looking up true achievements, it seems DLC doesn't count. I have the Porsche DLC (never got Storm Island) and have 480/500 from it as I couldn't get the Rivals related one due to servers. 1165-480=685.

Odd that they wouldn’t count DLC GS, but they’ll count other DLC stats. I finished all the Porsche bucket list items and they count toward rewards.

That's probably just related to the various other problems with the Rewards. I have 1,375 GS in FH2, with 500 GS from Porsche and 220 from Storm Island, and the game's rewards completed. FH1 is completed on Rewards with 1 achievement missing in the main game (I'll get the loyalty rewards one with a new save after I get the last Rally achievement). The Rewards tracking for my FM5 and FM6 GS also include my DLC GS.

You guys are lucky. I can't get it to register ANY gamerscore for either FH1 OR FH2, even though I have 1490 in FH1 and 1060 in FH2 (although much of that is DLC if that isn't counted, but still). So I'm out nearly 900 rewards points which would definitely put me over the next tier. For some reason, everything else seems to be working fine for both games. Slowly but surely getting credit for days played for both, etc.

A separate but related gripe, the final achievement I am missing in FH1 is Wheelin' n Dealin' which was simply to sell a vinyl or design on the marketplace, but the marketplace servers seem to be broken, but not formally closed. I can still browse designs and even get to my friend's storefronts but when I attempt to buy it just spins and then times out, so it's obvious to me that all those designs are still taking up space on a server somewhere... Anyway, I hope they can fix it before they close them like FM3, but guess I shouldn't hold my breath... Oh well...

Ah yeah, just remembered I had taken a break from the FH2 base game and then did all the Porsche stuff. That would've been in the time the servers went down after it was GWG as I had bought one of the deluxe versions on sale earlier this year as it was acting up when I was racing Porsches.

Did notice that I have points on Forza 4 and stats for Forza 3 and I never played either of those.

Yeah, a while back they gave all the rewards that required token purchases etc.

It has been updating really quickly for me, within about 24hrs for both Forza Horizon 1 and 3, since I've been playing both of those. Just completed the last bucket list item for Forza Horizon 3 last night and it already shows. Those perfect passes on Horizon 1 is going to take forever, I'm like 250/500 and it seems to only count ones in races.

As for DLC counting, it definitely counts for achievements, but not for all other items. Like the bucket list in Horizon 3 only counted the base game ones, not the DLC ones towards the total. I'm kinda annoyed that Forza 7 didn't have DLC packs that added achievements since getting the rewards completed is basically impossible without it.

 
do the X enhancement updates have any effect on S users? I would assume not, but if thats the case its really dumb I still have to update it when its not a multiplayer game

Not necessarily, but if they fixed any bugs at the same time you could see a patch.

EA actually wised up this time and moved their game out of its death slot. Instead of being sandwiched between Call of Duty and Red Dead, it now is between Fallout 76 and Darksiders III. I don't know how well it will do but this will probably help it some.

There are rumors EA is getting desperate with the game in general. Possibilities include Battlefield Royale getting a separate free to play release, and a bundle with Bad Company 2 remastered like CoD did. The remaster seems unlikely unless they've been working on it for a while though.

 
Wow, thats a killer list of titles added to game pass for the month of September. Granted there's some GwG freebies that are in there(Shadow Warrior & Giana Sisters), but SW is good. I thoroughly enjoyed Onrush when it was free over the weekend not long ago(only knew about the game due to the discussion in here). Snake Pass I've been wanting for months, then Quantum Break and Master Chief Collection?!?!?! Very nice Microsoft. Very nice
 
Can someone give me a tl;dr in game pass - I swear even though I’m in my early 30s all of this new game stuff makes me feel old and out of touch lol

It's like Netflix. You sign up for a monthly subscription. You get access to a library of games. Over time, some games get added, and some get removed. You can play any game in that library as long as you are subscribed.

They currently have a sale: $2 for 2 months (regular price is $9.99 per month).

 
OnRush on GamePass already? Wow. I really do need to stop buying so many games. I have most of those. :(

Looks like it trades for $15/$16.50/$18 at GS. Guess I know what I’m doing today!

It's not a "sounded like" it did bomb that bad. Had no biz being released as a $60 product, during the free weekend I played quite a bit and just trying for achievements I could accomplish the same amount actually playing the game as I could just holding down the right trigger on my xbox controller. Game has issues...

 
Don't skip the QB cutscenes, they're actually pretty good. Shawn Ashmore, Dom Monaghan, and Little Finger all provide a decent performance

Can I get some help from the TCL 6 series owners please? I posted a while back how I had some issues with the TCL 4 series on the Xbox One X in NHL 18 with some colors in the beards flashing green. I took that TV back and got the 6 series and the problems is there too. I can make it go away by turning the resolution on the Xbox down to 1080P but that is obviously pointless.

So my question is if I can have someone on here go into NHL 18 and go into player customization and check if a black beard flashes green and white beard flashes purple.

Community went a bit ape shit today because of the announcement of the Lambent character and weapon skins.  Straight monetary purchase for each character and weapon skin set, no RNG, but pricey.  People were expecting to RNG buy with credits and stockpiling and aren't pleased.
