Some notes
  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold.  You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.
  • On Xbox 360, you must have at least a 1 month Gold subscription for sales and Games with Gold.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

I guess the blackout beta downloaded automatically for me and we went pass our 1TB monthly limit and we only had one more day for it to reset, dang it. Only $10 extra with 50gb added, but still. Only got AT&T internet, no bundle, so there’s a limit. Dunno why it automatically downloaded, I thought I didn’t op in for that option. Didn’t realize it was downloading while we were watching something ha. Ah well. Here’s a beta code: 3RJHY

I started playing Nier yesterday after buying it at launch. I can feel the polish, it's very good, however I seem to be bad, I used almost all of my recovery items in the opening section. I'm having fun, but depending how the rest of the game goes I might bump it to easy for a while. Granted I was exhausted, staying awake while repairmen were here so that might have something to do with it.

Saw The Predator or as I called it, A-Team vs. Predator. It was enjoyable, definitely felt like an 80's R rated movie you bring the family to as opposed to testosterone bro down like the first two (and third to an extent).

Also I started Agents of Mayhem thinking it going to be a straight forward linear game with levels with team mates you can switch on the fly, I was not expecting an open world game and was kinda hoping to take a break from open world games after beating Sunset Overdrive then Infamous 2, but guess I'm back at it again.

I'd say bump it down until you're used to the combat, but only if you're dying a lot. Xbox is my second playthrough for the game and I've only had to use healing items during a few bosses, with no deaths yet. Look into some of the upgrade chips as a lot of them can give you bonus healing in a few different ways, or higher HP.

"PUBG on Xbox One X is perfectly fine and I've had no issues with it"
-This Thread

https://comicbook.com/gaming/2018/09/15/pubg-xbox-one-x-downgrade-framerate-issues/
I tried it during the free weekend on my One X. I've watched enough PC play of the game to understand how awful the experience is in comparison. To see people on here defending the performance was certainly a surprise. Just because the framerates are objectively bad doesn't mean you can't still have fun with it, though, but we really deserve better.

The loyalty rewards for FH4 have been announced. Shirts for prior games, a horn, an emote and a chat phrase for tiers up to 10, then cars for 11 and 12. Also cars for having played FH3 and FM7. No mention if anything is exclusive. I'm already Tier 10, outside chance at 11 before release, but looks like I may not need worry.

https://www.forzamotorsport.net/en-us/news/wir_9_14_18

They're also adding Tier 13 when FH4 releases.
Just got playing it today, anyone know how long the demo is, so far its good, very much like the others, AWD rules!

Saw The Predator today and enjoyed it more than I expected. You REALLY have to turn your brain off and go with it though.

The FTP from back in the 360 days? They made that again?
Yup, Warface continued on the PC when they shut it down on xbox 360. I kinda liked it on 360 but haven't had a chance to play it on one yet.

I Feel that's just how Shane Black writes in general. The ending was...something. Also I was legit surprised how much I enjoyed the cast, especially Olivia Munn.

Though I still enjoyed Predator 2 more than this (man, do I love 90's movies and their portrayals of apocalyptic gang wars in LA), this one I felt was more in tune with the first two movies than Predators. This is basically the Predator franchise's answer to Army of Darkness is kinda how I felt.

article also says some One X users aren't having frame rate issues, I haven't noticed anything major on my system and since all X hardware is the same must be something else like connection causing issues also ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Got the second one, thanks! Just "beat" Disney infinity 3, so will have time for a shooter tomorrow!

For anyone looking so you don't have to spend the time copy/pasting, I didn't do the first code but the third and fifth codes were lurked without anyone saying they used them.

Thanks I was able to get the first one.

Odd as I worked backwards and the others were already used.

It has like 4-5 races and two danger signs. After your last race a slew of danger signs/drift zones/speed traps and zones pop up in the quadrant that is open in the demo. Also if you leave the demo you start at the beginning again each time you relaunch it.

Welp, had an extra date night tonight and got lucky - popped my 4k cherry.  Bought an X (Shadow of the Tomb Raider bundle) and a 43" 5 series TCL.  For the TV's maiden voyage, it was, naturally, The Legend of Zelda on the NES Classic.  Unfortunately, it doesn't output in 4k, but the pixels looked glorious.  I then needed a quick catnap to recharge.  The foreplay for round 2 was setting up the X and configuring my cable box remote for the new TV.  Had some problems with that until I realized my XB1 Kinect (gonna need an adapter) was blocking the TV remote sensor.  Glad I got that working, since the TCL remote has no input select button and would've gotten tired of always going to the TV's home menu to switch inputs.  By then I was raring to go with some hard driving - Forza Horizon 3.  Now this is podracing.  50 base game championships down, 13 to go, but part of me is tempted to just go through the whole game again.  I'm not a young man anymore, not sure if I have enough left in me for a round 3 with Gears 4.  Might just settle for cuddling with an old favorite (Star Wars weekend on TNT again, and ESB is on).

Some codes that came with the system :

1 month Game Pass - Y646M-6KTCC-JGW7M-RMFHV-C4KYZ

14 day Gold - TF372-8NB23-DYH3Q-26RTB-PR3H4 (apparently must be redeemed on console)

Welcome to the club! The X is fucking glorious. Shadow Of The Tomb Raider just supplanted AC Origins and Gears 4 as best looking games on the system. My God it's breathtaking at times.

Nice Bloomy, yeah if I had a complaint about my TCL it's the no input button, actually get's quite annoying after awhile. I think the phone/tablet remore app has it maybe... I know if has some expanded features if you really want to dial in the colors. If I wasn't still in GTASC on true achievements I'd be trying to finish up Forza Horizon 3. I don't think it's getting done before 4 hits, I'm already cursing my brother for having a destination wedding on release week.

Awesome! Welcome to 4K glory at its best.

Welcome to the club! The X is fucking glorious. Shadow Of The Tomb Raider just supplanted AC Origins and Gears 4 as best looking games on the system. My God it's breathtaking at times.
Damn. I haven’t yet finished Rise of the Tomb Raider and you’re making me want to get Shadow just to salivate over the graphics.

I love this. Well done. Kept me riveted right until the very end.
Also, I’m glad to see I’m not the only one who goes old school on new tech. When I got my 51” plasma Samsung a while back, first thing I booted up to show off all its colors and goodness was Mega Man 2 - on an actual NES, RF connector and all. Good times.

Never played Diablo 3. For those who have would it be worth getting it for the Switch to play on the go or enjoy 4K gameplay on an X1X? Any thoughts?

That's exactly what I will be doing. Been playing this game since launch so I've witnessed it update into its current state. It's a grind and you will be taking on not only 1 grind but 2. If you are an ARPG fan then you will be good. My advice... Get it on the XBOX now while it's on sale and see how much you play it till the Switch version is released. Then re-evaluate. New season starts Friday. Great time to start playing

I’d say get it on switch, seems like the perfect platform for it.

Diablo is a lot of clicking, not sure I would love playing it with the joycons remotely. I say get it on consoles for 20-30 when it’s on sale versus 60 for switch version that may not run or be as smooth

I agree it's perfect for Switch. It looks great on X1X, but it looked fine before the enhancement. I've played regular D3 on Xbox, have the expansion on PC, logged many hours.

On the topic of Diablo 3: how does it compare to Path of Exile and Van Helsing?  I've played both and thought they were just ok (like, I "completed" both but wouldn't have paid money for them).  Given that, would I still enjoy Diablo 3 (on sale right now for $30)?  Is it different enough from the other two that I've played for me to spend $30?

It's so much better than the clones. I don't like Path of Exile on XB1 at all and Van Helsing is fine, but Diablo III plays really well and is polished as hell.

D3 is super polished and fun but that said I haven't been able to go back to it since PoE was released on Xbox.
