I bought the $300 version at the launch of Forza 7 if not horizon 3, don't remember which exactly.

I was simply too lazy to hook it up all the time. It moved from corner to corner in room to room until I eventually sold it locally.

Make sure you will actually use the thing. I also had to buy a setup to mount the wheel and gas pedals so they don't slide all over when you're playing.

I'd make sure it has force feedback, for $100 it most likely does not, but I'm not sure which exact kit you are referring to, so double check. I have the TMX Pro, which I got for a bit under $200 on sale and I'm very happy with it. I've had non force feedback wheels in the past, and honestly I don't think it is worth getting unless it has force feedback. Also, as even13flow mentioned, you really need a good place to mount the wheel or you won't end up using it much, since it can be effort to take out etc. There are some great choices like the Wheelstand Pro or Playseat Challenge, but you are looking at around $100 more for one of those.

Also, Forza Horizon isn't really the best series to get you into a wheel. I'd say Forza 7 is a better option, since Horizon is a bit more arcady and can be frustrating with all the "full contact" racing. Once you are comfortable with a wheel, I would say it adds quite a bit to the experience, and you really just want to play all racing games with it.

tldr: wheels without force feedback isn't worth it imho, hold off until you can spend around $300-$400 to get a force feedback one and wheel mount/chair.

 
FH4 set to download before I left to work. Mega Man 11 will should be waiting for me when I get home. In my catatonic boredom yesterday after traveling the last 2 weeks, I also started Dead Rising 3 since it's October. 

Now I just need a week off to enjoy all of them.

Got Horizon downloading, eager to dig in.
 
I’ve liked Forza Horizon 4 so far. It feels like it’s holding your hand into autumn. My only complaints are the avatar junk and the soundtrack. I’m looking forward to see how much variance is in areas are. I thought FH3 did that great
 
A new Harry Potter game leaked last night. The setting sounds interesting, and is early enough that it's removed from the books/movies if you aren't a fan. Basically just making this a fantasy game about a wizard school.

Eurogamer confirms. Says it's not Rocksteady (Batman Arkham series) developing, but Avalanche Studios (Disney Infinity series, Toy Story 3, Cars 3). Not exactly the home run we could have expected from Rocksteady, but I think Avalanche is probably still a decent team that was held down by the projects they were put on by Disney, Cars 3 was actually WB but clearly a quick cash grab, maybe even using leftover assets from Infinity.
 
Unless they make Harry Potter a cover based shooter like the one EA did a few years ago, NO INTEREST! Harry Potter needs to head shot suckas!

 
Does anyone know if there's a way to remove a show or movie from the "continue watching" section of the Netflix app? Netflix has started putting some of their original's seasons in reverse order so when a new season comes out that I watch and finish, it starts the previous season that I've already seen.

Started assassins creed odyssey last night. I got my X a couple of weeks after I finished origins so I didn't get to see how that looked on an X. Odyssey looks awesome and I'm interested in how the changes play out. I only played for a couple hours, so I didn't even finish the tutorial/get to the game title screen.
 
It looks like there will be no BC announcement today/this week.  Perhaps there is enough excitement from FH4 and other games to keep us occupied?

The only way I have done it is to go to the Netflix website and delete the history for that specific title in your settings

At least not for today, FH4 is arguably their biggest exclusive release of the year, so no extra news to get in the way.

I saw a sign at Dollar General this afternoon that said you can get a $5 Dominos gift card there with a purchase of $25 or more in Xbox Live gift cards. It's not in this week's store circular though.
 
I am wondering when or if the next batch of OG Xbox games are incoming. I need some Phantasy Star Online, ESPN NFL 2k5, Xmen Legends and Futurama in my life. Yeah. I know none of these have a chance in hell.
 
Did they get rid of xbox giftcards on Microsoft rewards? Was going to redeem for a $3 code but dont see anything at all for xbox or Microsoft giftcards now. :/

Sounds like early impressions of Venom are largely not good (a “turd in the wind,” “nothing works”). Sony needs to just let Marvel handle these things.

I just saw a trailer for the movie in the break room and I'm not sure I care for how they are handling Venom talking to EB. I'll probably still see it, but when I can do so for free with MP.

Already have a 3D IMAX ticket for Thursday through Sinemia. Hopefully not as bad as it sounds like it may be.
 
Tempted by that $60 Mega Man 30th anniversary bundle.  Only have the first Legacy Collection.  Would need some more credit, though.  Or just wait for a sale.  Saw the $29.99 price for MM11 and thought, "Really?"  But I'd get enough time out of it, unless I am just satisfied with running through the game on the easiest difficulty and not caring about achievements.  But that's not what a Mega Man game is about.

Hit silver in ranked? I should do my placement matches, it's usually all I do for ranked unless I'm close to the next tier. I think I did 2 placement matches and then got distracted by the backlog.

Haha, no. I've never played ranked, I didn't play anything multiplayer for a good 8 years, so i don't even want to attempt ranked. Most of my playing is vs medium or hard bots, with some QP every once in a while. I also used to play Mystery Heroes regularly to get my bonus loot boxes, which took hours since I lost a lot. Since I've been getting mostly duplicate cosmetics, I've stopped playing in Arcade for the bonus loot boxes. In QP, I'm usually stuck as the sole healer, which sucks. I can play several healers well, but not well enough to be the lone healer on the team full of damage characters and one lonely tank, while the other team has a good 2-2-2 comp.

 
I just got a Gamepass quest reward for some Rise of the Tomb Raider DLC. That must be from the quest to unlock some achievement for Rise back in August I think.
 
I know most everyone is prob playing FH4 but FYI there is an update for FM7 that will remove the Prize Crates soon so use them before you lose them.

Same. The DLC is part of the season pass, which I already have, so I can't use it.

Anyone try FH4 on PC with a Game pass membership? I'm tempted to start a game pass trial for fH4 on PC, because my wheel is PC only (old ass Logitech force feedback for PS2+PC).

Some of you may be distracted by your FH4's and your MM11's, but don't let them hide the real gem that was released today:

All jokes aside, this looks like a ridiculous fun game. Will probably wait for a sale to pick it up, but who knows, my patience may not last that long.
 
Anyone know how to get the upgrade to ultimate (standard game via Gamepass) on Windows? IE - I purchased the upgrade and I'm downloading the standard edition of the game now on my computer - will the upgrade also download or do I need to d/l something else as well?

MS posted this early in the morning on Friday. If it is as complete as the Ultimate Edition in pre-order form, the upgrade from the Game Pass version looks to be one hell of a deal. I'm sure there might be one or two things a person might miss out doing that upgrade, but they always seem to make most of the DLC available down the road. I personally was betting that upgrade pass was going to be more expensive than it is. So I think all I really got from ordering the Ultimate is a nice steel book to keep my game in and the ability to play a little early. Then the game will stay in its SB once the game launches on Game Pass.

TLDR: Game Pass plus upgrade to Ultimate for $50 seems like the deal. Your CAG instincts were right to not order the UE.

Mega Man 11 is really, really fucking good. A few rage-inducing moments, the levels are a bit longer than past games and it can make you let your guard down. You acquire bolts easily, though, and can buy as many 1-ups and E-tanks as you like, if you care to, at least on Normal.

For real, though. I'm surprised they aren't charging $40, it's very easy to recommend at $30.

The CG looks cool enough, but the idea of doing a Venom film completely devoid of anything even tangentially related to Spider-Man feels so pointless.

In the comics a lot of the best venom books don't have too much if any spider-man in them. Especially dark avengers and venom space knight, But I agree cinematically it's really really bad move. Also I read they chopped an hour or so of footage, which is never a good sign

i got the same thing but i havent played that tomb raider in over a year....i hope its not the halo gamepass reward :whistle2:&
