Some notes
  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold.  You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.
  • On Xbox 360, you must have at least a 1 month Gold subscription for sales and Games with Gold.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

I'm down to the dreaded 1 road missing in Horizon 4, technically 3 but supposedly it will pop the achievement at 529 of 531 according to the internets.
I was working towards this morning. I have a bit over 300 so far I think. I like just driving around and filling in the map. Especially when I am half asleep. Just mindless fun. Was wondering how bad the last few roads were going to be.

Anyone know if the Treasure map is part of the FH4 Ultimate add on pack? Probably going to buy this eventually but not sure what happens if they pull FH4 base game out of Game Pass. I assume I have have to buy the base game to continue to play. Got mildly burned buying DLC waiting for the base game to go on sale over on PSN. They pulled the base game and only offered the game with the DLC included (Horizon Zero Dawn). I don't care about the 2x XP so I can wait.

Doesn't appear to be.

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/forza-horizon-4-ultimate-add-ons-bundle/9p7jj1fkqwxh

It's not part of the Ultimate Edition of the game. It wasn't in the past, either, but this is the first time the Ultimate Edition included expansion packs. The treasure map has been included in the complete add-on collections for FH2 and FH3, which also included the expansions. At this point, the difference between the ultimate add-on pack and a complete collection for FH4 would be the treasure map and whichever car packs come out beyond the scope of initial car pass. Past practice is the FH2 and FH3 packs only get listed when they're discounted. Curious if a complete add on pack for FH4 would also come and go or merely replace the ultimate pack.

I haven’t personally played Baja but there are just too many good games to pass up in that pixel sale. If you don’t have dead cells I would highly recommend it
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Any specific recommendations beyond Dead Cells? I bought Fox 'n Forests (what an awful name) and have been enjoying myself, albeit with some caveats. Momodora is tempting, but I think it pushes that balls-hard difficulty that Dark Souls made famous, and which annoys me so much.

It's not listed as part of the Ultimate add on pack, and actually I think it's always been a separate thing even in "deluxe" editions. The Ultimate add on pack is looking more and more like a pretty fair value though for the $45 if the 2 expansions are $20 a piece.

Just a FYI she posted a really oddly worded follow up to clarify there are still people working there.
I wonder just how many are left. She did at least say her team is gone, and with her initial phrasing of "all of us" I'd guess at least 4 or 5 were axed. The fact that her title was narrative something says to me she wasn't part of the corporate leadership, though I'm not sure why they needed any narrative people to begin with if they're only working on porting something. It should just be the technical guys and video editors for a Netflix port I would think.

Well, Goat Simulator is now X enhanced. So for those of you who were on the fence, it’s time to get an X.
I have an X and always looking for new enhanced games to play. I got this game for free with GWG and deleted it. Finally, I am still not going to redownload it.

That is correct. It does pop at 529. Believe it or not I actually ended up at 530 because I was doing a bunch of stuff in a field and it randomly added a road. Probably a country driveway or something.

When you're only missing a few it becomes an absolute chore to find a missing chunk of gray road, especially on the country dotted line roads.

Blast Out of Moon Gate finally completed for me this morning (3 days late).  The Badlands has 3 tasks for 2500 pts:

1. Scavenger Hunt (I'll give more info when I actually do it)

2. Log into Xbox Live 20 days

3. Increase Gamerscore by 250

We have until 12/5 to complete all 3 punch cards/phases.

I completed the scavenger hunt for badlands (click on the diamond in the skull and answer the desert questions) but no check mark for the scavenger hunt.

I had the same thing happen to me in FH3. I have not been able to track down the last road for that achievement. I'm hoping I don't have the same issue in FH4.

I've had it happen in every Horizon game, it's kind of tradition at this point. I do think Forza Horizon 3 was the most infuriating one. It was like a tiny nub that was a driveway to a house in like the west/south west forest area of the map maybe if you ever feel like going back to look.

Whenever I see that there's an update for Elder Scrolls Online, my data cap's heart skips a beat. Surprisingly, this one clocks in at 706 MB which is a far cry from the more typical 70.6 GB.

Oh and I don't know how you guys have the patience to find every road on your own in the Horizon games. #treasuremap4life

Good to know, still kind of perturbed that the system missed like 6 days of live logins for me or I’d be done now. It finally jumped off of 5 logins though up to 9 now after several days on 5. So maybe it will kick over soon.

I still wish I had gotten that Game Pass punch card worth 3k in the app.

I actually moved the game to another drive I don't keep plugged in. No point in wasting bandwidth on updates for games I'm not currently playing. I also don't like seeing 60+ games with updates.

I haven’t got the 500 points for wild kingdom 1000 points for moongate or the check for the “scavenger hunt” in badlands either, after my last experience with support I really don’t wanna contact them either but I probably won’t get the 1500 points or game pass either.

Ha same as everyone else, maybe it was wrong for me to use Google to answer them....
I completed the hunt also but the final pts were not on the dashboard....that's probably why none of us can complete it.

I’m having trouble finding some of the sales on my Xbox One console, in particular the original Xbox games. I see no dedicated sale banner that includes them. If I search for them individually I can find them but they do not show on sale. Destroy all Humans, for example, is showing $19.99 on my console through search. It does show $2.99 on the website though

None of the OG Xbox games are on sale as far as I'm aware. Destroy all Humans was on sale from Sept 4 to the 11th.

Baja Remastered isn't bad for $6 as long as you manage your expectations. It doesn't really do anything new and the graphics aren't mind blowing, but it's fun. The races can be as easy or as tight as you want them to be. And I can't afford the new Forza, so it's a great alternative for a poor man like me.

Its the Xbox 360 game Destroy All Humans: Path of the Furon that is on sale, not the OG Xbox game.
Thank you both for clarifying. I do see that now. As for the other part of my question, why can’t I find these 360 games on my One? Is there a way? Seems really stupid to not give access to buy backwards compatible games

Answers to Scavenger Hunt

1. Sahara

2. Polar Desert

3. Delicate Arch

I'm assuming there is supposed to be another panel on the "Earn" page to finish the Hunt but it's not there. Going off of past experience it usually takes a day or two to show up.

I saw Venom and I don't think it's bad. I'd give it a 7 out of 10. The Aquaman trailer gives me high hopes but what the heck is going on with Shazam? It looks low budget and made for TV. There is no way this would tie in with Justice League, at least I hope not the way it is.

I just noticed the bonus punch card for Horizon. It's an easy 1500 points for anyone buying the Bond pack. The Gamepass punch card popped up for me too. In Giana Sisters and Innerspace there's an unmissable achievement in the beginning of the first level for anyone looking for a quick one.

I remember googling, "hard to find roads on FH3" and found a site (maybe true achievements?) where people posted their last roads, mine was one of those.

I remember that too (vaguely). It might have been a youtube video that I watched that helped me find what I needed.

It was no where near as bad chasing down all the shards in Infamous on PS3. I actually gave up and came back to it 5+ years later.

Sadly, I looked that up and I had all of those roads. I think there is one obscure spot somewhere that I haven't hit. I will eventually find it. My Xbox just likes to annoy me by constantly showing "Hey, you are really close to this achievement!"

Not sure if anyone has any leftover Gamestop points. I had the free membership but don't buy much from them. Got an email about trading in points for Xbox or PS credit. Had enough for $3 in Xbox credit. Not much, but I wasn't using those points anyway.

Anyone playing AC Odyssey finding it to be too similar to Origins? I mean I like it but almost seems like an expansion. Heck, even though it is a different time period, some weapons and especially shields look identical to some in Origins.

Ah, I loved Origins. Actually haven’t finished it. But was too excited about the Greek time period, gladiator fights and occasional creature from mythology. I probably just need to play more to get to that stuff and I’ll be happy.

I remember googling, "hard to find roads on FH3" and found a site (maybe true achievements?) where people posted their last roads, mine was one of those.
Yeah I've already used what was suggested on TA. In the comments people pooling together ideas on some of the more obscure ones they missed. No luck so far, but it will grow in time or I'll randomly come across it in a race or just driving around.

I've heard more than a few podcasts suggesting that, and then basically say after the first 15 hours it opens up a lot more. At the very least it sounds like it has different looking environments, but a common complaint seems to be an extended amount of time grinding out basically a tutorial.

15 hours till it opens up?  Geez.  I got bored with Origins.  Maybe I just didn't care about the time period/setting.

Probably go back to Origins at some point and give it another go.  I think I am just getting burnt out by AC.

Yeah, the tutorial section is dragging on and on.

In FH2 one or two of my last ones were onramps to interstate sections as they changed color, but just a teeny weeny snippet must not have actually been driven on.

In FH3 I gave up looking and one day let one of my daughters play and she was just tearing thru open countryside and boom there goes the achievement notification. Sorta near a farm, but I had already driven on every little farm road a dozen times and couldn't get that last road so who knows.

Thank you both for clarifying. I do see that now. As for the other part of my question, why can’t I find these 360 games on my One? Is there a way? Seems really stupid to not give access to buy backwards compatible games
I think if you go to the Games section of the store there will be a group for Backwards Compatible games. You still can't use xbox credit for OG/360 games unless you're doing so from a 360.

I really want to pick up Space Hulk Tactics, but it looks like the kind of game that would plummet in value within a month of release. Save $4 now, or wait and potentially save $15-20 by xmas? I suppose I could just play games I have and wait for the release of BF5 and RDR2 which will be day 1 for me...

Other people are seeing the game pass punchcard but now mine has disappeared lol I really think they don’t want me doing rewards.

Just checked the actual gamepass quests on the site and it’s showing something completely different now

Play 60 minutes of fallout 4

Play 30 minutes of another Bethesda gamepass game

I've been trying for 45 minutes to figure out how to link my PS4 to my main Fortnite account since all my progress is on Xbox/Switch. I think it's supposed to be active now but when I view connected accounts nothing shows up under either Epic account. Hopefully they get that working soon. For now it just allows you to sync up your Epic friends and progress made after the link is made, but next month you'll be able to completely sync everything including all unlocks, V-Bucks, and purchases.

Ok stupid question of the day.  In FH4 how do you disable traction control?  I started my first drift challenge and it tells you to turn it off but I can't figure out.  All the while it is counting down on the timer.  Thought I went through all the menus several times but nothing.

It’s I. The difficulty settings, along with ABS, stability control, racing line, and AI difficulty. Turning traction control off also give also gives you difficulty credits boost after each race.

I?

Thanks, I will look at the difficulty setting. Would be nice if they offered to do that or at least presented you the option.
Autocorrect, fat thumbs, and the N next to the space bar.

Yeah, Forza used to make a point of pointing out the difficulty options shortly after the intro race, I don’t remember seein it this time.
