Just beat that event. Thankfully the Bond car you need to use for that is B class default, so winning it on Expert for the super wheelspin wasn't too bad. The drivatars in the S1 autumn championship were brutal. The super wheelspin landed me the BMW M5 Forza Edition, but also put me over 10 million credits. I'm off to buy the Bamburgh castle, pop that achievement and get the barn find rumor. Already found the winter barn car, so I'll just need to wait a week for the spring one to have all the barn finds.

Did your barn find achievement actually track correctly? Mine is way off, I'm only missing 2 and it says I'm at 70%.

I'm currently at 86%, which is 13/15. TrueAchievements hasn't updated yet, it's showing 80%, from when I was at 12/15. Hadn't checked that achievement in the tracker before, I just checked what I had in the garage menu.

I'm disappointed that SC6 $100 edition is essentially a $10 markup for the metal case. Game at 60, dlc at 30. Pretty lame. Lamer that it's only 3 characters plus Tira.

Not even a troll, has the game ever advanced much past the Dreamcast one? That seems like a ton of money to throw down on Soul Caliber.

The create a character is a huge addition since then, you can make a lot of really good characters with it, new one should be better as well

Where is this? There's nothing like that under the Rewards section of the Bing android app. Nothing on the MS Rewards app on the Xbox either. Tried looking at the web version of Bing rewards and nothing there either, it's identical stuff as on the android app.

It's a featured challenge like the Badlands and Moon Gate. Just click to the left or right of Badlands and it'll be there.

Cool I read some info or was watching a Youtube video on how to set the TV up for HDR with PS4 Slim and XBox S when I got my TV and it said to put it on 2.0. So I did. Hopefully I won't run into the issues others are having with HDR after the October update.

Lol I agree. I've been stuck at 7/20 or 8/20 on Badlands for a few days. I think it's happened before and they eventually fixed on their own. Just keep logging in daily. I remember getting a few days credit on one of the first challenges.

No- still doing the 4-5 hour commute. But I've been borrowing my wife's Switch to play during the train portion of it.

Started looking for a new job outside of LA so I can move- I'm over the traffic & commute. Probably in this for another 4-6 months.

But I got the Switch!

Xbox Rewards app likes to tease and do you dirty doesn’t it. Still sitting on 14/15 logins for three days now. Also they got my achievement for one part of the gamepass quest and not the other.

And I still haven’t see that $5 coupon for ODST. Bleh.


I also got hooked on Fallout 4 again thanks to the current Game Pass quest. I guess that was the whole point of it. Overall the game is janky but it is still fun scavenging the wasteland killing mutants with a laser sniper.

It has actually eaten in to my Forza time. Wife is out there clearing off the map and I haven’t given it a fair shake yet.

Does MS dl flash sales like PSN? I have like $7 in credit just burning a hole in my e-pocket

I think the season changes work well with the UK. There are other places that would have done well too especially since autumn doesn’t pop like it could in other locals. I think coming from Australia to anywhere would be tough to follow. I’m not found of the idea of Japan at all. It seems to cliche to do. So many games are set in Asia that it gets old.
4 is fun but I think they messed around too much with Forzathon and the avatars and not enough on other things.

I know Japan is often a setting for games but with Forza it would have been a modern realistic take on it. None of the anime craziness but a lot of different building architecture, signage, and npc vehicles on the road. It would have been nice to see a local that is not of the western world or at least not an English country. Maybe a Greece or Italy would have been better to me, some old world architecture and style.

 
For those interested in Soul Calibur, they had a good stream last night showing off a little bit of each of the single-player modes and then versus matches with created characters. Two experienced players with Maximilian and Kenny from YoVideogames, and two for fun players from Mega64. From the brief view and explanation we get for Chronicles of the Sword, it is 1000% better than then the story mode from 5, and the secondary story mode for Create A Soul sounds awesome, and is really an above and beyond  inclusion.

We also very briefly see a redesigned Cassandra that the Bamco guy breezed over. Seems like she could be a DLC character.

I think the arcade sticks were announced either there or somewhere else this week, I hadn't see them before. Hori is a good brand for this kind of stuff, though they are using their own stick and buttons instead of the most recommend parts by the FGC. Not really an issue to more casual players, but at $180 it could be an issue for those actually buying. It doesn't say, but usually these expensive sticks let you swap out parts if you want at least. We got the cooler design with the translucent red, and most of the female characters. They even have DLC character Tira, which is cool but kind of lame at the same time.

An announcment that is good for newcomers but is once again Bungie fucking over the customers that were already supporting them. The first two DLCs that your were required to own before being given the privilege of buying Foresaken at full price, are going to be bundled into Forsaken starting on the 16th, 6 weeks after launch. To appease those that already paid they get a few cosmetics and some XP boosters, amazing.

This is a good thing overall but it was extremely shitty of them to have a ton of sales on these two DLCs over the past few weeks if they new they were about to do this. Especially on PS4 when D2 was just on PS+. I wonder if the sales are lower then they wanted, if they are actually listening to the negative feedback they got about it, or if this was the plan all along.

I bought the expansions just before this announcement. I'll play during the Halloween event and then probably shelf the game after getting burnt like this.

I also got hooked on Fallout 4 again thanks to the current Game Pass quest. I guess that was the whole point of it. Overall the game is janky but it is still fun scavenging the wasteland killing mutants with a laser sniper.

It has actually eaten in to my Forza time. Wife is out there clearing off the map and I haven’t given it a fair shake yet.

Does MS dl flash sales like PSN? I have like $7 in credit just burning a hole in my e-pocket

I'm still finishing up Rise of the Tomb Raider because of the GP quest. I hadn't even played the reboot yet. Or several earlier games. Still haven't gotten the free DLC yet, tho. Doing the quest in The Division got me playing that more again, too. It's a good hook.

Thanks to those that advised me on Baja and Axion Verge, I ended up getting both.

Wow now that is some complete and utter bull shit. It would be one thing if they hadn't required you to have the first two not exactly great expansions to play Forsaken but to say you have to have them and tempt you with sales only to give it away a month and half later is just terrible.

 
I think I am done spending money on Destiny.  It was a great social game.  But the constant changing and lack luster DLC, the cost of the DLC etc.  Any time I do fire it up I have no idea what the end game is now.  I do some public events and shut it down.  Just too much work / expense to have fun playing a game.   I have the first two DLC barely played either of them.  I just can't see spending whatever else to get current again to play for a couple weeks maybe.  

Maybe I will actually not buy Destiny 3.   I did wait till D2 was cheap at least.

There are too many posts about this to reply to them all, so i pick yours! :)

I don't know why Bungie is bundling Exp I & II with Forsaken, unless they are trying to get more people to upgrade from vanilla to play Forsaken. It's a smart move for them, but they should have done it BEFORE Forsaken came out and not so soon after. I'm pretty sure I sold someone in this forum on buying the Expansion Pass when it was on sale for $10 and I sorta feel like a heel because now it is free*. But, for $10, that's an almost reasonable price for the stuff that Bungie is giving "Forsaken veterans" IMO but still it's a crappy move to pull.

Now, if Bungie/Microsoft/Sony would be willing to give refunds to people that just bought the Expansion Pass recently, that would make it more right. Not completely right, but more right and probably as right as can be expected.

Now, ALL this being said, anyone who has only played Destiny 2 vanilla or CoO or WM and hasn't played Forsaken, they are doing themselves a disservice by not playing Forsaken. There are so many things to do, many of them very challenging, that it's hard to keep up. In fact, I main a Hunter and I've ONLY had time to play on my Hunter regularly (my Warlock is halfway through the story and I haven't started my Titan at all, but that will change before Festival of the Lost comes out at next reset). Bungie & Co. have put a LOT of effort into the content that went into Forsaken and it needs to be played by as many new and old Destiny players. Of course, this is coming from a Destiny fanboy that enjoys just shooting aliens in the face if I'm not working towards a larger goal, so a grain of salt or two might be necessary.

For me this is part of the problem. So much to do and not knowing what matters now and what doesn't. They change the game so much that unless I am playing it weekly I have no idea what I should be doing. With D1 I stayed up on it for well over a year. I played weekly. I would read various websites for tips and try to keep up on it. I would run the daily (many, many, many mornings) and weeklies.

With D2 I bought the first DLC and played it a decent amount. Bought the second and played the story part of it (orange missions) and not much else. Didn't seem like there was much else but maybe I just missed it. Didn't care enough to research it.

Several of my friends stopped playing waiting for the September update. So I need the Forsaken DLC and a season pass. Not even clear what that costs. For the amount of play time I got out of the last two DLCs it just doesn't seem worth it. I am not looking for a game like this anymore. I am not looking for updates that change everything I think I know. I am not looking to play every Friday doing the weekly missions and going to Xur to buy the latest exotic gear. I am not looking to try and find people to run the weeklies every weekend. It just got to be a chore. Game just kept changing too much. Sometimes for the better. Sometimes just confusing and seemingly pointless.

Not trying to bag on the game. Just seems like something I am no longer interested in. Many days/nights I am looking for a game I can just pick up and play and have a pretty good idea what I am supposed to be doing.

If your tastes have changed and the game in its current state is no longer enjoyable to you, then I would be doing a disservice to both of us to try to convince you to get back into the game. :) Maybe your tastes will change back and then I'll get back to working on you :evil:, but regardless play what you like and expect that I will respect that decision. :grouphug:

 
I think the move to give away the DLCs is because the expansion is not selling well. If it was something they had planned to do, they would've done it when Forsaken launched and they would've grabbed a lot more buyers/players when their marketing plan was in full swing.

I've played vanilla and the 2 DLCs, I've been keeping up to date on the forums (mainly out of habit) and I do see a lot of players are happy with the expansion, but I'm still not hopping back (nor is anyone in my clan) because we're tired of the way Bungie does things. Yes, this is great, but CoO and Warmind were crap; they are not consistent. Plus, the constant changes and updates can be seen as a good thing to keep the game fresh, but it also comes across as very unprofessional and them not really knowing what they're doing. It's like they're throwing things against a wall and seeing what sticks, what we like, what works. Surprise, some things in Forsaken happen to stick to the wall, more so than in CoO and Warmind. Intended or random luck? Who knows.

I don't play Fortnite, but I absolutely love how they keep things fresh. It's just enough of a change to make things interesting and new, but not so huge that you're completely lost and not so drastic that your strats don't work anymore. The way they approach new content works, imo. As I said, I don't like Fortnite, but when I read about their updates, I think it sounds fun and I see from my friends' clips that they're enjoying it. The way Bungie does it doesn't work for me. And this is one of the main reasons why:

They completely change the underlying fundamentals of how you play the game. That's ridiculous. Weekly milestones are now replaced with something different. It's not immediately clear in-game what gets you the powerful increase in light level that you need. If they wanted to do such big changes, they should've done it in D3. Maybe this is a test for D3. I don't know. RDR2 drops in two weeks. Fallout drops next month. I don't have time for the grind that Bungie wants from me.

(To be fair, I'm not really attacking the game or people that still play it; as I said, I do see the positive reception that Forsaken has gotten. It's just not for me. My friends don't care for it anymore. We don't trust or have faith in Bungie. We've got other games coming down the line.)

Thanks! Follow up question... I'm thinking of buying Child of Light but being the OCD gamer that I am I like to buy the Complete/Ultimate editions. Has the Ultimate edition ever been on sale? According to Storeparser it's never been on sale but that doesn't make an sense. Firstly it's an Ubisoft game and their games tend to go on sale every other week and secondly, it's been on sale on PSN several times.

I am curious what the reception to Anthem will be when it releases.  After everything people have had to put up with during Destiny and Destiny 2 will people still want to play this type of game or just assume its going to be a mess and just avoid it?  Id like to play the Forsaken content but at this point im not sure if I want to put any money into it, especially not a full 40 bucks.

Personally I want to give Anthem a try but that is more to do with my love of Bioware than a belief that they will get it right and it wont be some place to throw my money over and over again.

I bought the expansion pass on PSN, so... yeah. I bought the expansion pass since you had to have it to play Forsaken, but didn't want to buy into Forsaken immediately. Now I'll just wait until Forsaken is free with whatever DLC they sell next year.

I have a preorder from BB waiting for me that still has the GCU and $10 reward cert so it’d be $37.50. I know some will say wait until Black Friday but BLOPS for some reason holds its value longer so not so sure it will be cheaper.

Total. I've made friends with a bunch of my fellow commuters and that takes the sting out a bit. And the bike ride provides exercise and being outside, which is awesome. And having a job is fantastic, I'm very thankful for it.

My CheapAss just wants some time to game and not deal with LA traffic 😂

It'll definitely be curious to see how the market takes it, too. Personally, I'm going in with optimism for now. It's the main Bioware team making it (not the Andromeda team) so hopefully it'll be good. And they've seen how Destiny went so ideally they'll take lessons from that. Plus they've seen the improvements and the turnaround in The Division. My friends and I are eager for another game like this that we can play together. They're having a beta so I will absolutely give that a try before making a final decision.

I got it but I really enjoyed the Blackout beta and zombies should be fun. I don't care much for standard COD multi anymore and there's no campaign in this one just in case you're out of the loop.

 
Anyone playing Halloween terror? I was surprised that the endless mode isn't endless. I played on normal as zenyatta matched with bridgitte, torb and mcree. After 15 bonus rounds the game ended. I like some of the achievement sprays but know I'll never get some of them because they're so hard.

I got the new hammond skin from the free loot box. Hoping for the moira. I'm frustrated that the tombstone victory poses don't unlock through loot boxes, the collector in me wants all of them but I'd rather spend the coins on a skin. I think I still have 7 of them to unlock.
