Some notes
  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold.  You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.
  • On Xbox 360, you must have at least a 1 month Gold subscription for sales and Games with Gold.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

[*]All known sales and information on sales should make their way into the OP. Major Nelson usually updates his blog with new sales information every Tuesday.

Was very happy I got my important stuff Weds. Now I'm also waiting, need the accessories that I didn't think about.
I'm mostly just waiting on movie's and books and a small bit of physical games. Pretty sure I ordered about 50 pounds worth of books. So really I'm just a bastard man to that delivery man.

I’ll be honest, nothing in this Black Friday sales has me looking to spend my rewards cash. I’m thinking I’ll just drop the $4 and go digital on Deus Ex, maybe I’ll go digital for $24 on the Dishonored 2 games. Or maybe I’ll buy the AC Origins SP, but I haven’t started the game yet, so I can probably wait.

Just an FYI, CDKeys has obe month EA Access codes for $2.59

Just bought one, entered the code on my xbox, and already got my 6000 points for "buying' the Battlefield trial.
I got the code, entered it and downloaded the trial. How do you get the 6000 points for doing this.

To be honest, I'm surprised I've bought as much as I have from the BF sale. I guess it's mostly because the games I picked up I had passed on before. I just didn't have the MS Rewards points saved up to redeem for gift cards or the money to buy them outright. This time it worked out perfectly with the MS gift card hot deal and I was able to get GCs with points and buy a couple at Best Buy.

I just bought Deus Ex Humankind Divided Digital Deluxe and LEGO Marvel's Avengers SP after redeeming points for another $10 GC. I'm official done with my BF video game shopping, lol.

For those punch cards, do we have to wait for one check to appear before moving onto the next?

Has anybody done them all in one sitting and had it eventually update all the boxes?

Talking about the Game Pass one specifically.

Thinking on going on sons account and do a trial of ea access for the 6k points of battlefield V then cancel sub.Anyone else do this?
was gonna do it on my nephews but I think it'll be more of a pain trying to get him to go through the steps lol

if it's in your house def go for it, easy points

Dunno, I have both and my PS4 dashboard is so much better than my Xbox One X dash. One thing they need to nail down from the start next "console gen"

Is there not a year of game pass for $60? I thought xbox had one that lasted until end of the year.
You could get a year for about $40-44 if you piece it out in our trading thread here. There's a few 3 month codes for $10 from different sellers and a reputable seller who sells 6 month codes for $22. I've purchased from the latter and everything went smooth.

Anyone else having alert and achievement notifications in the guide reappearing over the last week or so?

eta: actually it might have coincided to the November update.

Finally got thru the Bad Lands; seems like it was only counting about every other Live login toward the 20. Thanks to posters in this thread for the heads-up about finding the Game Pass reward in the Redeem section.

Thanks so much for everyone who explained the Battlefield V rewards punch card. Just got the 6,000 points and the full refund for EA Access. Used it towards another $10 store credit I’ll probably hold onto for the holiday sale in a month. Or not. I’m feeling reckless.

How did you guys get the refund?
Go to Xbox.com or Microsoft.com and click through to your account, then look for subscriptions. For EA Access it gave me the option to cancel auto renew (and keep the current month going) or cancel right away. Don’t know if it needs to be the same day you sign up for it, but in my case it was. Plus I deleted the two games I had downloaded from Access.

I am. It's been happening for the past week or two. At first I thought it was delayed achievements unlocking after I've stopped playing but then I had like 12 achievements reappear as recently unlocked.

Likewise. Received my 2500 today. Finally! Enough points to cash out for another Microsoft Egift card.

How do you actually see your Badlands progress? I can't find anything anywhere about it.

You would see it on bing.com where you click on the daily polls and activities. You can also see it on the rewards app on xbox one.

If you missed the first two events, the Jungle one and Moon Gate, then I don't think you could take part in the next one. So if you don't see anything there, and don't remember completing the first 2, then you won't see anything.

Did anyone ever figure out what was up with free Pixark from a few days ago? I assume just a price mistake. I just it up and it didn't give me a trial warning or anything so it seems like they didn't revoke my license.

For some reason my expired Hulu account isn't eligible for the $.99 deal. My "deal" is $5.99 per month. I guess I'll just make a new one.
I think I read somewhere that you can't have been active for the past 6 months or something like that. It didn't show up on my wife's account because we used a promo on hers recently but it showed on mine so we activated it on that one.

I assume it was a price mistake too, because it's listed at $24.99 on the Microsoft Store but when I sign in it says I own the game.

Wonder if they'll ban everyone for the EA Access exploit, they've been petty for less :)
I don't typically do one of these things unless I don't have a moral problem with it (doesn't mean I'm right but I do consider it before any decision)

I don't really consider it deceptive to pay 5 bucks, download a game they are offering as a free trial, playing the game, and cancel after playing the game and earning an achievement that shows I played through what the trial offered (they offered the refund as an option I didn't request)

It would be pretty low to ban people for something like that imo. It's not like those things where people change their languages or locations or whatever.

but just my personal feelings on it I could be wrong

to me it feels more like extreme couponing on the internet more than anything

what's the easiest/quickest achievement for battlefield V using the trial from EA access?
complete under no flag war story for single player (took me way too long on medium difficulty)

if you can play multiplayer on the timed trial

call in 2 reinforcements in a round as a squad leader or 10 kills in a round may be the fastest

I got an email the other day, it had a panel about this, so I clicked it and it took me to a page showing I had apparently cleared the first two sections, and saying to clear the badlands do some more steps. How do I see if those last three steps registered as done? I did the quiz about deserts, earned way more than the required gamerscore this month, but I never actually log in on my xbox since its set for automatic. There is Never any info about this mission on the bing app, nor on the xbox rewards app. It did show up one single time on the bing app immediatly after I did the desert quiz step, a small panel with tiny checkmarks all greened out, but since then it's been gone.

Fastest is playing an engineer in multiplayer, build ten reinforcement items, which takes like three minutes to do, and you get an achievement.

It might be that you completed the Bad Lands. You should have gotten 2500 points and there will be a reward (3 months of Game Pass for 0 points) in the Redeem section. The number of days needed for the 20 days of Live login doesn't show on the Rewards app on the xbox. I only see that when I go to the site in a regular browser.

Here's the Xbox One S (not One X) deal of the week. 1TB Xbox One S - Minecraft Creator's Bundle console with Red Dead 2 for $188.79 after taxes using code BF18. Best Buy has the console without Red Dead 2 for $199 so this is a no brainer for those looking for a One S.

I'm on a VCR console so I have to pull the trigger on this deal (pending wife approval when she wakes up of course)

Grabbed a Minecraft bundle at Target on Thursday, used a $50 gift card my parents gave me to buy it, and then got a $20 gift card for buying it. Still haven't opened it yet because I finally got everything on my VCR model just the way that I like it. I might save it for Christmas so I'll have something big for myself under the tree.

Yeah, that didn't make sense to me either. I knew it as soon as I typed it.

I didn't own an Xbox One when the first quests started and I got the same e-mail showing that I had completed them. The link is generic and shows that you completed the quests even if you're not logged in, so I wouldn't pay much attention to it. I'm pretty sure you had to have done everything required in the Xbox app to complete the quests.

The EA Access trial quickly reminds me how borked the EA account system is.  Load up Madden 18, immediately asked to login with an e-mail address that hasn't existed for over 8 years.  No option to change to the actual EA account that I use on PS4 and PC.  Had spent hours with EA support trying to fix this but they won't do anything if you can't get into the e-mail address the game wants you to use.

They made me set up 2 step verification for madden 19 and a few days later I start getting verification codes texted to me in the middle of the night every couple days with Russian text which I’m guessing is someone trying to get into my account lol.

I know this is not breaking news but the Rewards app Game Pass Quest tracking is a joke.

I have gotten achievements in 2 different games in each category (minus Forza) and none have checked off yet.  I initially had all 4 categories done Monday 11/20 and nothing has checked off except Forza Horizon 4.  Meanwhile, my Battlefield 5 mini quest of one achievement checked off in a day.

Mine finally completed today. Not sure if the two achievements from Split/Second finally tracked or if it was the Wolfenstein one from Thursday. But yes, the tracking on some of these not to mention how it seems some got this punchcard to show later than others needs to be addressed.
